Known for her strong comebacks to trolls, Taapsee Pannu has not disappointed us as she has again responded to a troll comparing her physical transformation to a 'mard ki body' on Twitter. After a tabloid published a photo of her with the title "Guess who?" a Twitter user claimed that only Taapsee Pannu could have such a macho figure, writing: "Ye mard ki body wali sirf Taapsee hi ho sakti hai."

Taapsee didn’t take any offense to it and sportingly responded to the troll. She tweeted, β€œAll I will say is... Just remember this line and wait for September 23. And advance mein THANK YOU, I really worked hard for this compliment." The picture in question is from her upcoming movie Rashmi Rocket.

It was a sassy response but it hasn’t gone down too well with social media users. People felt that the comparison to a β€˜Mard’ is not a compliment but indeed a sexist remark.

In a recent interview with The News Minute, Taapsee said that she does not really respond to trolls anymore. β€œI ignore most trolls because most are bots or unleashed in a coordinated campaign. They have nothing substantial to offer and get triggered when you are successful. It gets amusing to watch. They call me jobless when I don’t have time to take up a film till 2023. But, I’m way too secure to react to that,” she said.

Previously, in an interview with SpotboyE, Taapsee had mentioned that her family members get affected by the trolls. β€œSomewhere, my voice counts. I guess I do command a certain power and influence. That’s why they want to shut me down. I don’t get triggered easily. When I do, I don’t stoop down to the level of the troll. I will never lose my dignity in replying. That’s the basic difference between me and the troll,” she said.
Talking about Rashmi Rocket, the film is set in Kutch, Gujarat, and stars Pannu in the title role of a gifted athlete. According to the synopsis, β€œThe story follows the tale of β€˜rocket’ who finally gets the chance to realize her dream and compete professionally, only to realize that the race to the finish line is peppered with many hurdles. What seems like an athletic contest turns into her personal battle for respect, honour, and even her very identity.”

If you haven’t watched the 2001 β€œthriller” Ajnabee starring Bipasha Basu, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, and Bobby Deol, you have probably missed out on a gem of Bollywood. As the film completes 20 years of its release on September 21, Lord Bobby, in a conversation with Hindustan Times, said that the movie was ahead of its time and we can’t agree more.
    View this post on Instagram
For Bobby, it was a great experience to work with everyone and he doesn’t feel the movie was released 20 years back. β€œFirst of all, it doesn’t feel 20 years since it was released. It feels like it was yesterday that we got together and shot this film. It was such a great experience working with everyone,” he shares about the Abbas-Mustan directorial.Β
He continued, β€œWhen I was working with Abbas-Mustan on Soldier (1998), at that point they thought of me giving the character, which Akshay essayed, and eventually, they thought I was better suited for another character, which I ended up playing. And Akshay did a great job.”

Talking about the storyline and the plot, Bobby said that the movie explored a topic that wasn’t done by many and it was a bold move. He said, β€œThat’s the reason it did so well. At that point when it was released, the film was actually ahead of its time. But now, things have changed. Now, we see a lot of different subjects being explored on screen. (There is no denying) Ajnabee was not just a movie, it changed a lot of things.”
Irrespective of whether it was way ahead of its time or not, we're glad that it's a thing of the past now and we don't have to sit through it again. However, since we are talking about the movie, there were three scenes we found to be ridiculously bizarre and we feel you should check them out too.Β
    1. Bobby Knows How To ProposeΒ There's a scene wherein Bobby is seen stalking Kareena and finally ends up meeting her father. Unlike in real life, everything turns out well for Bobby and he manages to propose the love of his life.Β
Here’s how the biggest proposal unfolds:Β
Kareena: The Polo Club is sending one coach to Switzerland, and not two.Β
Bobby: But the coach’s wife can go with him, right?Β
Here’s the video of the epic proposal scene:Β

    It was a next-level cringe-fest.Β
    2. Bipasha Playing The Piano In Creepiest Way PossibleIf we were in the place of Bobby Deol who was enjoying seeing Bipasha play piano, we would have run away because who wants to have nightmares of someone playing piano in the most bizarre way possible. More interestingly, the piano continues to play even when she's dancing. What the hell is really happening? The scene looked like she was making love to the piano and not playing it.
    Here’s proof:

    3. Wife Swapping, Really?Things got really weird by the time Akshay decided to suggest wife swapping to Bobby. It didn’t just stop here. It escalated from being weird to illogical when you see Bobby getting up in Bipasha’s bed as she lies naked but he fails to remember if they spent the night together. And later, he was arrested for Bipasha’s murder. But, as we all know everything was planned and she was alive only to be murdered by Bobby.

There are many more sequences that we found illogical but these three top them all.

It’s barely been a week since Apple opened up the pre-orders for the iPhone 13 in a number of key markets including India and the demand is already outpacing the iPhone 12 series. The iPhone 13 Series was announced last week and was available for pre-order soon after which resulted in orders that exceeded the 2020 iPhone 12.Β
    Β© Apple
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the pre-order for the iPhone 13 series has been "higher than those for the iPhone 12 series” as told to PhoneArena.Β  Kuo did not mention which particular model has the highest demand nor did he reveal any sales numbers yet. However, he did say that the sales numbers are "in line with market expectations."

It is being reported that both Apple and the market itself expects the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max to be more popular than last year’s 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. Around 40-50% of pre-orders have gone towards the iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max which is a 35-40% increase from the pre-order numbers of the iPhone 12 Pro series. Apple has also delayed the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max orders by a slight margin due to the high demand for the models.Β
    Β© Apple
The demand for the iPhone 13 Mini is even lower than that of the iPhone 12 Mini which doesn’t come as a surprise. It is also worth pointing out that Apple discontinued the sale of the iPhone 12 Series on its website as soon as the iPhone 13 series was announced.Β

    Β© Apple
It will be interesting to see how the iPhone 13 series performs once the phone releases in more parts of the world later this week. We will be reviewing the phone once we get our hands on all of the models. If you want to know everything about the iPhone 13 series, you can check out our full feature here

Who knew that when SRK’s Fan movie would release, it would literally affect his fans emotionally to an extent, that one such fan, a teacher, would end up suing the production house for an odd reason. One of the biggest hype around the movie was the audio and the video of the titular track, Jabra Fan which became an instant hit with all SRK lovers.Β

Aafreen Fatima Zaidi, a mother and a teacher hailing from Maharashtra was miffed and upset when she and her kids went to watch Fan on the big screen and realised that the hook song was in fact not even a part of the movie or the post-credit sequence.
The woman decided to take legal action against YRF, the production house of the movie and so she did! According to a Live Law report, β€œShe claimed that her children did not eat food on the night when they went to watch the film, as they were disappointed over the fact that the song was not a part of the film, which resulted in a spike in their acidity levels and hospitalization.” The case has been running over 4 years and the court has finally decided to give her the emotional justice she needed.
The production company has been asked to pay Rs. 10,000 to Fatima and also pay an additional cost for litigation.
    Β© YRF
In their argument, the lawyers for YRF had argued that the song was a mere tool for marketing and promotion and was never intended to be in the film. Well, all things said and done, it looks like justice prevails for those who want it.

Actor Kangana Ranaut recently announced that she would be essaying the lead role of Sita in the movie, Sita: The Incarnation.Β
As per reports, she replaced Kareena Kapoor Khan in the upcoming project. Kangana might have been a part of several controversies, but when it comes to appreciating talent, the actress has always come forward and has been kind in all regards.

Kareena Kapoor is celebrating her birthday today, and Kangana took this opportunity to wish the actress.Β

Despite the news that Kangana replaced her, she took to her Instagram stories and with a collage of Kareena's pictures, she wrote, "Happy birthday to the most gorgeous of them all.”
    Β© Instagram/Kangana Ranaut
Kangana had recently declared the news of being a part of Sita: The Incarnation. The director recently announced the project and wrote, "What was a mirage, is now a clarity. A dream of a pious character never explored is now a reality. I am ecstatic to bring Kangana Ranaut on board as Sita. This pious journey will change the course of how we perceive our mythology. Thank you SS Studio for your immense support and belief."Β

To this, Kangana had responded, β€œThank you for this opportunity."
    Β© Instagram/Kareena Kapoor Khan
As per earlier reports, it was said that Kareena had asked for a salary hike to play the role of Sita in the movie.

In an interview, Kareena had mentioned, "Just a few years ago, no one would talk about a man or woman actually getting equal pay in a movie. Now there are a lot of us being very vocal about it. I make it quite clear what I want and I think that respect should be given.”
She also added, β€œIt’s not about being demanding, it’s about being respectful towards women. And I think things are kind of changing.”
    Β© Instagram/Kareena Kapoor Khan
But in other news, Manoj Muntashir, the movie's screenwriter, denied any such reports of Kareena having being approached for the film.

He said, "I am thrilled to have Kangana play Sita. She was on our priority list. Rumours were floating around about actresses like Kareena and Deepika (Padukone) being approached for the project, but they were not true. The Sita Devi we have sketched has various shades, and Kangana is the best cast from that point of view. Once you see the film in theatres, you won’t be able to visualise anybody in her place. We never approached other actresses and always wanted Kangana to play the title role. The search for a young actress to play the title role was on, as it is about Sita in her young days."
    Β© Instagram/Kangana Ranaut
However, it still is unclear if Kareena was ever asked to play the prominent role of Sita for the movie.Β

Kareena will next be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha with Aamir Khan, and Kangana, who was last seen in Thalaivii, has other projects like Dhaakad and Tejas lined up.

The Pakistan Cricket Board is gathering a lot of support and sympathy from international cricket fans from all over the world after England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) decided to cancel their cricketers’ tour of Pakistan.

    β€” Pakistan Cricket (@TheRealPCB) September 20, 2021
ECB’s decision to pull out of the tour last moment came just days after the New Zealand cricket board called off their tour, citing considerable and valid security concerns raised by the government on the basis of the information provided to them by intelligence services.
Former international cricket and the current Chair of the Pakistan Cricket Board recently shared his disappointment with the ECB via his official Twitter handle:Β
Disappointed with England, pulling out of their commitment & failing a member of their Cricket fraternity when it needed it most. Survive we will inshallah. A wake up call for Pak team to become the best team in the world for teams to line up to play them without making excuses.

A wake up call for Pak team to become the best team in the world for teams to line up to play them without making excuses,” wrote the former cricketer.
Adding to the rows of sympathy messages, former Indian batsman, Wasim Jaffer also posted a tweet while showing his support towards Pakistan and the cricketer fraternity in the neighbouring country.
The @TheRealPCB have every reason to be disappointed with the ECB. Pak and WI toured England last year during pandemic before vaccines. England owes so much to both Pak and WI. Least ECB could do is not cancel the reciprocal tours. There are no winners when cricket is cancelled.

It did not take long for the tweet to become a political battleground as the supporters and opposition clashed all over again:
The same Pakistan sponsored terrorists set your hometown (Mumbai) on fire during 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Most Pakistani cricketers openly vouch for Gazwa E Hind.

β€” Sushant Vinchurkar (@SushantV11) September 20, 2021This is the reason why thing won't improve btw pak and Endia. I don't see any team touring Pakistan in the near future.
Sad! , but this is the fact they will have to accept.
β€” Bunty (@BuntyBru) September 20, 2021On the other hand, former Pakistani pacer, Shoaib Akhtar has not only shared his disappointment with the ECB but has even speculated a controversy brewing between England, New Zealand and Australia to β€œbuild a narrative against Pakistan” as he said in an interview with Geo News. "They are all colluders. It was expected that if New Zealand decides to call tour off, England will follow suit,” Akhtar said. The main concern here is that no cricket board or government in this world would want to risk the lives of their citizens, especially after reliable information from credible intelligence bodies confirms security and safety risks while on a tour.

Despite India wholeheartedly showing solidarity with everyone ranging from the United States to Brazil, and to the other nations of the world during the testing times of the Coronavirus outbreak, unfortunately, the favor hasn't been returned by many countries for us Indians. India was literally there for everyone when vaccines were needed, medicines were in short supply, but like it's often said, there is a reason why many European countries and their American counterparts are known to be 'Colder Countries'.
And let me reaffirm, it's not just because of the weather. Now, if it wasn't Canada that was already creating a roadblock for Indians traveling on work-related or study-related trips, the United Kingdom has gone on to another level.
Yeah, that's right! The UK, under its government's new international travel rules, does not recognize people vaccinatedΒ in India as being "fully vaccinated".
    Β© Reuters
That means, that if you got the CovishieldΒ or Covaxin shot, you still won't be bracketed under the tag of being vaccinated. The move has been branded as absolutely "offensive", "bizarre", and "racist" by a whole lot of people from India. And why shouldn't it be?

As per the new rule, vaccinated citizens from India will still have to home quarantine for 10 days in Britain, and guess what? Barring some other nations like India, residents of other countries won't have to abide by the same rule.
UK government confirm tonight that if a person has been vaccinated in Africa, or South America, or countries including UAE, India, Turkey, Jordan, Thailand, Russia…

    …you are considered β€œunvaccinated” and must follow β€œunvaccinated” rules ️ = 10 day home quarantine & tests
    β€” Alex Macheras (@AlexInAir) September 17, 2021
Well, on the positive side, there were a few renowned faces fighting on India's side, at least on Twitter. One of them was Shashi Tharoor, who at the back of the events, chose to pull out of a Cambridge Union debate and his own book launch events in Britain to protest against the ridiculous new rules.Β
    Β© Reuters
"Because of this I have pulled out of a debate at the Cambridge Union and out of launch events for the UK edition of my book "The Battle Of Belonging". It is offensive to ask fully vaccinated Indians to quarantine." It is reported that the UK has announced that it is willing to engage with the Indian government in order to resolve the matter.Β

Because of this I have pulled out of a debate at the @cambridgeunion &out of launch events for the UK edition of my book #TheBattleOfBelonging (published there as #TheStruggleForIndiasSoul). It is offensive to ask fully vaccinated Indians to quarantine. The Brits are reviewing! https://t.co/YEVy3Ez5dj
β€” Shashi Tharoor (@ShashiTharoor) September 20, 2021 There were others protesting the issue as well.
Ridiculously racist & discriminatory decision. https://t.co/2VTGKkCQeb
β€” Siddhartha Basu (@babubasu) September 20, 2021Absolutely bizarre considering Covishield was originally developed in the UK and The Serum Institute, Pune has supplied to that country too! This smacks of racism. https://t.co/GtKOzMgydf
β€” Jairam Ramesh (@Jairam_Ramesh) September 20, 2021 Well, people from the country surely had enough of this from the UK, and they let their feelings known on Twitter.
UK and other European countries still considering Indian like 'something' inferior...clearly Racism..#NarendraModi ji... please reconsider the quarentine period of Europion citizens as Covid virus is very active there..
β€” RITU SHUKLA (@ritu7283) September 20, 2021Let’s not oppose everything for the sake of oppose! Plz
    This is clear vaccine racism
β€” Ashish (@ashishdabole) September 20, 2021Funny with all these regulations some members of Indian cricket team contracted COVID in England or let's say English COVID
β€” shine n s (@nsshine) September 20, 2021 Some actually shared details of their troubles and how students are the worst affected under this flawed set of rules.
Some of us are stuck - I’m flying out next week and will quarantine and pay for day 2, day 5, and day 8 tests. Students suffer the most … if only the government had pursued this earlier in the summer.
β€” Aryan D’Rozario (@aryandrozario) September 20, 2021So are the Brits who have been jabbed with vaccines made and supplied by @Wockhardt (Indian co with a plant in UK) & @SerumInstIndia also viewed as unvaccinated? #justasking
β€” jyothidatta (@jo_da123) September 20, 2021This is of course disgracefully offensive and discriminatory, but the irony of it all is that the vaccinated can still be infected by, and spread, SARS-CoV-2 so making different rules for the vaccinated & non-vaccinated makes no sense in itself.
β€” Annette Gartland (@netpoette) September 20, 2021Β Well, it is clearly not a surprise that people are offended by this decision from the UK. But for the sake of the students and people traveling outside from India, let's hope the Indian government can find a solution to this with Britain.Β
