Esha Deol recently revealed that even though her parents, Dharmendra and Hema Malini, were superstars, she had a normal childhood. She also expressed that she travelled in rickshaws and trains when she was younger.
In an interview, Esha said that there was no paparazzi culture when she was a kid. She also said that she tries to keep her daughters Radhya and Miraya out of the public eye.
    View this post on Instagram
Talking to a leading daily, Esha said, “Yes, my parents are superstars... They are legends, but both of them have been excellent in bringing us up in a humble and down-to-earth manner with a lot of discipline, and have instilled sanskaar, and taught us to respect our elders. I give them the complete credit of giving us a normal childhood. Even in the school that they sent us to, we were treated normally, not as star kids. I traveled in rickshaws. I played a lot of sports back then and we had to go to tournaments at various places around the country and we all traveled by train. People who know me today, know that I can be as normal as I can be.”

She further added, “Today, I think it is the culture that we have picked up. The paparazzi are just doing their job; they have always given a lot of respect to my family and me. If I am ever not comfortable being photographed, they don’t click me. I share a lovely understanding with them. My kids are for my husband, family, and me, and I prefer to keep them private; it is me who is a public figure. I want my kids to have a normal childhood too.”

Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra has been granted bail by a Mumbai court two months after his arrest in connection to producing porn content. Raj Kundra and the 10 other people who had been taken into custody used to publish pornographic content through mobile applications. Kundra has been ordered to pay Rs 50,000 surety for his bail.
View this post on InstagramAdv. Swapnil Ambure and Adv. Prashant Patil, representing Kundra and Thorpe, said in a statement to ETimes, "The Court heard the bail applications of Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorpe today. It was strongly opposed by the prosecutor who stated that this is a serious offense and it’s against women. He claimed if granted bail, women in society would feel unsafe."
View this post on Instagram"We pointed out that despite two separate attempts there was nothing which shows criminal involvement," the lawyers said.
Patil added, "Investigation was over and the charge sheet was filed and now further custody was not required. The court ruled that since the charge sheet is filed and as it had already ruled that videos in question were shot with the consent of adult women, there was no need to keep the accused behind bars." Earlier this month, the Crime Branch filed a 1,467-page supplementary charge sheet against Raj Kundra, Ryan Thorpe, and two others.
After the news of his bail started to circulate, people started to troll him and Shilpa Shetty who recently traveled to Vaishnodevi.

Ever since the news of Sonu Sood being involved in tax evasion surfaced, people have been itching to hear the actor’s side of the story.
The I-T department searched his premises for three days from 15 September and summoned him for questioning. After the search and probe, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said that he had invaded tax of Rs 20 crore.

However, his fans expressed confidence that the actor was clean and supported him throughout, even though they were yet to hear from the horse’s mouth.

After much speculation and people contemplating if the 'messiah' Sonu Sood was, in fact, guilty of tax evasion, he has finally opened up about the controversy.
    © Instagram/Sonu Sood
In a social media post, he shared, “You don't always have to tell your side of the story. Time will. I have pledged myself to the service of the people of India with all my strength and heart. Every rupee in my foundation is awaiting its turn to save a precious life and reach the needy.”

He added, “I have been busy attending to a few guests, hence was unable to be at your service, for the last four days. Here I am back again in all humility. At your humble service, for life. My journey continues.”
    © Instagram/Sonu Sood
He also said in an interview regarding the probe that the IT officials were happy with the good work he was doing.

“I asked them – have you ever seen this kind of documentation, details, paperwork? They said no…they were also happy with whatever they were seeing. They said it was the smoothest four days of raids for them,” he said.
    © Instagram/Sonu Sood
The CBDT claimed that the Sonu Sood Foundation set up by the actor has collected donations of a total of Rs 18.94 crore from the last five to six months. However, only Rs1.9 crore had been spent for relief work while some Rs 17 crore had been lying unutilized.

Here is what Sonu Sood had to say in response to this, “It will not even take 18 hours to finish 18 crores. But I have to make sure every single penny is used in a proper way, for a genuine and needy person”
    © Instagram/Sonu Sood
Well, this does make things clearer and comes as a relief for his fans who were adamant that he couldn’t be wrong. What are your thoughts on this?

Kareena Kapoor, who celebrates her birthday today, is known for her fine acting skills and is also one of the highest-paid actresses in Bollywood. She has often been in the news for her path-breaking films and has never failed to impress the audience with her talent.

Kareena, like many of us, had to make some tough decisions in her life. She dropped out of college to pursue a career in Bollywood. However, she was very ambitious.

She completed her studies till 12th grade from Mithibai College in Mumbai. She also took admission at Government Law College but didn't pursue it. But not many are aware that Kareena also went to Harvard for a while.
Before she made her debut with Refugee back in 2000, she was also interested in computer studies. In one of the episodes with Simi Garewal, she spoke about this exciting event from her life.
    © Instagram/Kareena Kapoor Khan
She said, "Honestly, Harvard was just like to have a good time and have a blast." She also mentioned that her mother and sister did not wish for her to go to Harvard University for three months, but she was adamant about the preparation. She also filled out forms and studied Microcomputers and Information Technology there.

Simi also mentioned that how going to Harvard was more significant than winning an Oscar.
Kareena responded saying, "Oh God! It was the biggest thing ever. Everyone was reacting that my niece, my this, my that has gone to Harvard. Kapoor girl, no brains, has gone to Harvard. They all were overreacting. No one could believe that I had gone to Harvard. They all celebrated."
    © Instagram/Kareena Kapoor Khan
However, after going to Harvard, things did not work out for her. She said, "I wouldn't really call it a party. It was tough. I would get up at 4.30 in the morning, in the library, trying to get my assignments done."

She then decided to pursue her actual dream of becoming an actor.

Post Refugee, the actress did several other movies like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, 3 Idiots, Heroine, Jab We Met etc. Kareena was last seen in Angrezi Medium opposite Irrfan Khan and will be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha next.

Virat Kohli and his Royal Challengers Bangalore squad got dismissed for a total of 92 runs - the lowest total by a team scored in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. It took all but 10 overs for Kolkata Knight Riders to chase down the below-average total and kick-start RCB’s second leg in the tournament with an embarrassing loss.
Kohli, who is confirmed to step down from his captaincy at the end of the season, felt that it was important for the team to not just simply overlook the magnitude of this loss but to take their time acknowledging it.
Game Day: KKR v RCB Dressing Room Talk

Mike Hesson and Virat Kohli address the team after a forgettable outing, urge them to put this loss behind them & turn up better for the next game v CSK on 24th. All this & more on @myntra presents Game Day.#PlayBold #IPL2021 #KKRvRCB pic.twitter.com/6bB0LcfSe3
    — Royal Challengers Bangalore (@RCBTweets) September 21, 2021
“We’re better off accepting it immediately and being at peace with it. Not meaning that we don’t look forward to the next one but it should give us more hunger to get on the field again and play the cricket that we have played already in this tournament,” Kohli said in the RCB dressing room after taking the loss.
In another post shared by the official Twitter handle of the franchise, Kohli spoke about the need to trust the process, staying the professionals they are, and sticking to the plan of action that they have already set in motion.
Trust the process. Believe in the team. #PlayBold #WeAreChallengers #IPL2021 pic.twitter.com/1PgBjQJZDJ
    — Royal Challengers Bangalore (@RCBTweets) September 21, 2021
“You have to take it in your stride like you take your victories in your strides as well. We just need to be professional and stick to our strengths and make sure that we execute the plans that we have properly on the field. We have absolute confidence on this squad that we'll be able to pull up from the next game onwards and put in strong performances,” said the captain.
The problem here is that Kohli has been asking the fans of the RCB squad to ‘trust the process’ for the past eight years and despite having a talented set of world-class athletes around him, has not been able to deliver even a single trophy to the city of Bengaluru ever since he had assumed leadership almost a decade ago.
    View this post on Instagram
The 2021 season did start on a promising note for the side though. RCB were 5-2 in the first seven matches that they had played in the first leg of the season back in India and were perched at the third spot on the points table.
And even though they have managed to keep their position at the third spot intact despite the disappointing loss on Monday, fans can’t help but worry about a sudden collapse in the team’s performance which may once again lead to an early and heart-breaking exit for them.
    Here’s how they reacted:

The 23-year-old Neeraj Chopra has reached the kind of popularity wherein his fans look towards the javelin thrower for every little thing that he likes to do during his day, including enjoying his completely desi choice of breakfast - chai aur roti.
Ever since getting into the limelight after winning the gold medal at Tokyo Olympics 2020, Chopra’s name and face have become synonymous with the definition of simplicity and being comfortable with one’s true self.
So, when the Olympian shared an image of himself enjoying a glass full of tea and a roll of chapati, presumably with ghee and sugar in it, it reminded fans of the simpler times and how something so simple and basic can bring out so much happiness.

“Eat roti, drink chai, say ‘tension bye-bye’,” the elite-athlete wrote a simple message with the innocently candid message and it did not take long for the world to lose their hearts to Chopra once again.

From reliving their own childhoods to thinking about the time their mothers used to prepare cheeni-roti rolls before they would head out for the park to play, the fans thanks Chopra for helping them reminisce in the good old days:

    — Deeksha Singh Gaur (@Blossom_077) September 20, 2021Just a couple of days ago, Chopra was seen in a new avatar (well, six avatars, if we are being technical) in a new television commercial which dealt with Chopra addressing all the weird interviews, rumours and opinions he had to hear and go through after coming back to India with the gold medal.
From mocking journalists who asked him about his wedding plans and love-life, to the obsessed fans who’ve already started demanding the production of a biopic on Chopra’s life, Chopra did a great job in using sarcasm to deal with it all within a 40-second video.
    Watch the full commercial here:

From asking to be interviewed in Hindi, to not panicking in a life-threatening situation, from supporting his rival opponent from across the border under tough situations, to creating social media buzz around himself with a surprising commercial, Neeraj Chopra can do all things. The best part is that the fans remain equally invested in each and every step that he takes.

Diljit Dosanjh was recently asked if he enjoyed his time in Bollywood and after expressing that he wouldn’t want to comment, he said, “Superstar honge apne ghar pe.”

Now, that’s Diljit Dosanjh for his fans and we love him for being himself.
    View this post on Instagram
In an interview, Diljit expressed that he is not concerned whether or not he will have a successful career in Bollywood. He also said that he has absolute control when it comes to music and that nobody can stop him from making the kind of music he wants to make.
He also said that he is proud of the fact that most Punjabi singers are mostly independent.
He told Film Companion in Hindi,  “I have no desire of becoming a Bollywood star. I love music, and without anybody's say, I can make my music. No superstar can tell me that this music won't work, or that someone else's song would work better, none of this works on me. Punjabi artists are independent, and that's great freedom to have. Nobody can stop us, nobody can stop me from making music. I will keep making music for as long as I want to, and for as long as God allows me to. And I don't give a damn about getting work in Bollywood.”

He was asked about his experience in Bollywood and he said, “If I speak up about it, it'll become a big deal. It's better to stay away from all this. Your eyes reveal everything. It isn't necessary to use words. And filmmaking is the kind of medium where you don't need to get lines. You have your face and your expressions and your eyes, which reveal everything. I'm not crazy about anybody; no actor, no director, nobody. They can be superstars in their own homes. Perhaps I should have said this before.”

Diljit made his Bollywood debut after many hit Punjabi films with Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab, also starring Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Kareena Kapoor.

On Sunday, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli gave the first-hand news of stepping down from his position at the end of the second leg of the Indian Premier League 2021 in a video shared by the official Twitter handle of the franchise.
However, former Indian batting opener and cricket analyst, Gautam Gambhir did not take long before finding out a problem with Virat Kohli’s announcement. It was not the fact that he was feeling overwhelmed, or that RCB does not have a single player in the squad who can replace Kohli as an elite leader. No, Gambhir had a problem with Kohli’s timing.
Virat Kohli to step down from RCB captaincy after #IPL2021

“This will be my last IPL as captain of RCB. I’ll continue to be an RCB player till I play my last IPL game. I thank all the RCB fans for believing in me and supporting me.”: Virat Kohli#PlayBold #WeAreChallengers pic.twitter.com/QSIdCT8QQM
    — Royal Challengers Bangalore (@RCBTweets) September 19, 2021
“Yes, it does (the timing of the decision surprises me). Just before the 2nd leg of the tournament. If you want to do that, you probably do it after the tournament. Because it makes the team unsettled and emotional as well," Gambhir told Star Sports soon after the video went public on the micro-blogging website.
“It makes the people probably push even harder. You would not want to do that, especially the kind of situation RCB is in," he said.
    View this post on Instagram
The Bengaluru squad has never won the IPL trophy since the beginning of the league. Despite Kohli’s success as Team India skipper across the formats, even the Indian great could not help them cross the finish line as the victors.
Nonetheless, there is still hope for Kohli and Co. as RCB find themselves in a fairly decent spot, despite the embarrassment of a loss they suffered at the hands of Eoin Morgan’s Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday. For the team to qualify to the Playoffs, the team only needs a couple of more wins.
    View this post on Instagram
“They are in a very good position. Why would you want to put that extra pressure, probably push your players to probably do it for Virat. You don’t want to win it for individuals, you want to win it for the franchise. If he had to do it, he could have done it after the tournament as well."
“Stepping down and retirement are two decisions which are very individual. No one should force it on anyone. Probably, you have to feel it from inside. He has taken a brave decision but it’s going to be an emotional moment. It’s never going to be easy. Probably, the players and the franchise don’t get emotional and continue to play the way they were playing in this season," Gambhir expressed.
