The upcoming T20 World Cup will be Ravi Shastri’s final assignment with the Indian Cricket team. His current contract will expire and the 59-year-old feels he has “overachieved” during his four-year tenure and has no qualms about anything.
Winning back-to-back Test series in Australia and leaving outplaying England on their own soil in these tough COVID-19 times, have been the biggest highlights of his coaching tenure.
The former all-rounder has always laid emphasis on winning away Test series and under him, the Indian team, dominated the longest format like never before.
    © Reuters
After a gruelling Test series in England, most of the Indian players joined their respective franchises in the UAE for the second half of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. They hardly got any breather and like many people, Shastri also feels that the amount of cricket that is being played these days is just way too much.

The players need time to rest and recuperate after a long series, more so in the current atmosphere where they have to spend so much time inside strict bio-bubbles.
    © Twitter IPL
Apart from their national duty, players also feature in various T20 leagues around the world and it could be detrimental to their well-being. To avoid this, Shastri has a radical suggestion, which, if implemented, could revolutionise cricket forever.

Shastri wants the cricket boards around the world to do away with the bilateral T20 series and free up some space from the packed calendar, allowing players to give their bodies proper rest before heading into their next assignment.
    © Reuters
Football, the most popular sport in the world, follows the same model and it has been quite successful. The only difference is that, unlike cricket, football doesn’t have different formats and players are contracted to their clubs and not their national boards.

“I would like to see less and less bilateral T20 cricket. Look at football. You have the Premier League, the Spanish league, the Italian league, the German league. They all come together (for the Champions League). There are few bilateral football (friendlies) now. The national teams only play for the World Cup or World Cup qualifying (and other major tournaments like the European Championships, Copa America and the Africa Cup of Nations),” Shastri said in an interview with The Guardian.
    © Reuters
“I think that’s the way T20 cricket should go. Spread the game in different countries, and take it to the Olympics. But cut down on those bilateral games and give time for the players to rest, recuperate and play Test cricket.”

When asked about how the Indian players feel about this change, Shastri says they are all on the same page as they feel there is enough franchise cricket being played these days.
    © Reuters
“They all believe the same. There is enough franchised cricket. That is working. But what is the point of bilateral (series)? In my seven years with this Indian team I don’t remember one white-ball game. If you win a World Cup final you will remember it and that’s the only thing left for me as a coach,” said Shastri.

“Otherwise you bloody cleaned up everything across the globe. I don’t remember a single (white-ball) game. Test matches? I remember every ball. Everything. But the volume is too much. We beat Australia 3-0 in the T20 series. We beat New Zealand 5-0 in New Zealand. Who cares? But beating Australia in two Test series in Australia? Winning Tests in England? I remember that,” he added.
    © Twitter IPL
More than anything, the T20 leagues have become a necessity for all the countries because they earn a major part of their income through it. Hence, it’s hard to see these leagues taking a backseat. In fact, as cricket expands its base to new parts of the world, the number of domestic T20 leagues will only increase going forward.

However, the decision to scrap these bilateral T20 cricket depends on the cricket boards, not the ICC because the global body doesn’t make any money from these matches.
To secure the future of Test cricket and ensure players’ well-being, limiting the number of games is a must and Shastri’s radical suggestion offers the way out.

DeepVeer is one of the most amazing couples in Bollywood whose chemistry is perfect on screen as well as offscreen.
They have been giving us relationship goals ever since they got together. But now that they are married, their bonding and equation make us believe in love and a ‘happily ever after’.
    © Instagram/Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have fun, they hype each other on social media, don’t shy away from PDA and sometimes, behave like a normal married couple that we haven't seen many celebrities doing, to be honest.

They are as real as it gets and this latest incident where DP crashed her husband’s AMA session to ask him a simple question is proof.
    © Instagram/Ranveer Singh
Ranveer conducted an AMA (ask me anything) session on his Instagram for his fans and followers to interact with him and ask him questions they want to. Many asked about his diet, favourite food series and songs.

However, it was interrupted by wifey Deepika, who took the opportunity to ask him “When are you coming home?”
    © Instagram/Ranveer Singh
Deepika asking Ranveer this in the midst of his AMA session is every Indian wife ever.

Ranveer’s reply was even sweeter. He said, “Khana garam kar lo baby, main bass abhi ponch hi raha hoon (You heat the food, baby. I am just about to reach)”
    © Instagram/Ranveer Singh
Although the couple always drop lovey-dovey comments on each other’s posts, this was particularly cute.

One user also asked him to describe his wife in one word in the same AMA session. To this, Ranveer replied, “Queen”.
    © Instagram/Ranveer Singh
Other celebrities from Bollywood also dropped their questions, among whom there was Arjun Kapoor, Singh’s costar in movie Gunday, who wrote, “How are you so sexy baba?” Ranveer answered, “Aap ki training (Your traning)”.

Tiger Shroff also wrote, “Beaasttt” to which Ranveer responded, “Sunday subah squats maare jayenge Tiger bhai ki shaan me (My Sunday morning squats will be dedicated to my brother Tiger).”
    © Instagram/Ranveer Singh
However, Deepika’s question takes the cake for being the most interesting and honest of all. Obviously, Ranveer had to answer to his ‘queen’ with the sweetest reply.

There’s no denying that every film industry takes inspiration from the other entertainment industries and there’s nothing wrong with it.

While blatantly copying the content is unethical (you can even get in trouble for plagiarism and breaching copyright), drawing inspiration from global cinema is no crime. Deadpool star Ryan Renolds even openly admitted to it a few days ago.
    © Instagram/Ryan Reynolds
The Canadian actor recently starred in a film titled Free Guy and released a video especially for his Indian fans to introduce the film to them.

He said in the video, “My movie Free Guy has got a guy named 'Guy' who's quite the Romeo, a girl who is out of his league,” adding that it has, “A crazy villain, some insane action and, of course, dancing,”
    © Instagram/Ryan Reynolds
Before one could think it sounds too much like a Bollywood flick, Ryan clears the air and declares, "If you’re wondering whether Hollywood is just mimicking Bollywood...Well, the answer is yes. We have no shame, no shame at all."

    © Instagram/Ryan Reynolds
While his Indian fans were amused to know that our cinema is an inspiration for Hollywood films (thinking ‘kitna parivarik mahaul hai’), Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut swooped in with a different POV.

    © Instagram/Kangana Ranaut
She reacted to his comment recently on her Instagram stories where she put a screenshot of the statement and wrote, “And trying to steal our screens...” Can’t say we didn’t see this coming.

We were actually thinking about when this would reach her and she would react to his statement. Well, it happened sooner than we expected.
    © Instagram/Kangana Ranaut
Kangana has shared her concerns earlier as well over the monopoly Hollywood enjoys worldwide and how it’s on its way to take over Indian screens as well.

In an interview with PTI, she said, “We need to discourage American and English movies as they are taking over our screens. We need to behave like one nation. We need to stop dividing ourselves like North India or South India. We need to enjoy our own films first, be it Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu or Punjabi.”
    © Instagram/Kangana Ranaut
She added, “This is what they are doing here also... We don't appreciate each other, and rather see the dubbed versions of 'Lion King' or 'Jungle Book'. But we will not give a dubbed version of a Malayalam film a chance. This will not work in our favour. We must keep our people and our industry our priority. This is the way to make an Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

Do you agree with her? Let us know what you think.

Looks like Virat Kohli’s stars are not on his side.

Not long ago he was being praised for being in the face of the opposition and giving them a tough time on the field, but it seems like things have changed, especially in the last one week, and many, including his own teammates, think that his aggressive behaviour is doing him more harm than good.
    © Reuters
Earlier, only the opposition players used to have an issue with his attitude but now, even his own teammates are finding it difficult to cope with his aggression inside the dressing room.

As per reports, some senior Indian cricketers have issues with his attitude and one of them had even complained about it to the BCCI secretary Jay Shah after the WTC final.
    © Reuters
Not just the players, Kohli shot back at a support staff member, who had offered him some advice regarding his technique, during a net session.

The Indian skipper is perhaps going through the worst phase of his career and everyone knows how difficult it can get when you fail to execute your skills on the field despite sweating hard in the nets.
When chips are down, it’s normal to get frustrated with things easily but that can’t justify his yelling at a coach, who was only trying to do his job and offer him a solution to his problems.
    © Reuters
“Recently, one of the coaches offered some suggestions at nets but the captain shot back saying ‘don’t confuse me’. He’s just failed to handle it and it’s showing in his aggressive behaviour,” a source was quoted as saying in The Telegraph India.

    © Twitter Ravi Shastri
Another thing that indicates not everything is right inside the dressing room is the appointment of former India skipper MS Dhoni as the mentor for the 2021 T20 World Cup. The BCCI hasn’t said it publicly, but one of the reasons why he has been brought back is to bring in a calming influence inside the dressing room.

Not just the youngsters, earlier his own teammates used to look up to him when runs were flowing off his bat like a stream of water. But now things have changed, his well has gone dry and players have no choice but to explore other options.
    © Reuters
Besides all the trophies that he won, the reason why people still admire Dhoni so much is because of his ‘ice-cool nature’. Fans love how he deals with everything with a cool head. He knows how to control his emotions and express himself in the public.

Kohli must realise that batting alone can’t help him please the fans and his teammates and if he intends on achieving that, toning down his aggression could be a positive start.

Imran Khan made his debut with the super hit film, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, in 2008. The kids who were born in the 2000s were extremely young to know him but the rest of us who love watching Hindi romantic comedies, we know that Imran Khan was our favourite at that time.

The audience was crazy about Imran Khan and he had a lot of female fans in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
View this post on InstagramImran Khan was quite a favourite back in the day and was liked by everyone for his different approach towards choosing movies. He stayed away from toxic roles and the characters he played in movies were also ones that made him relatable and a favourite amongst women. Here's why he was 'different'.
He Was DreamyImran Khan fit the dream chocolate boy description perfectly. He was cute, chivalrous, and was very different from the rest of the actors at that time. He was the opposite of Ranbir Kapoor and women liked him more than Ranbir. They were both doing rom-coms but, Imran Khan somehow won.
Not Trying To Be The ‘Classic’ HeroHe wasn’t fighting 20 guys at once for the female protagonist but played the role of guys who could make those 20 guys not fight. He played characters that portrayed men in a way that women always expect them to be. They were mature, he didn’t play a man-child in any of his films and he listened to his woman.
View this post on InstagramHis Films Were DifferentHis films were simple yet offbeat, keeping aside films like Kidnap and Luck, which were total disasters.
But Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was a great movie. Two best friends realizing that they are in love. It was a common plot but was made extremely relatable for our generation. The film was very progressive which our audience needed at that time.

He also did a film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, alongside Katrina Kaif but the film was underrated; it was cute and showed how falling in love looks like.
Now, he has quit acting and his fans miss him. Imran Khan told India Today, “I wanted to be a writer-director and wasn't that keen on acting anymore. I have always been a very private person anyway.”

In a Reddit AMA, the former actor had said that he found the Bollywood bubble to be very suffocating.
He said, “It's not really a conscious effort. I'm genuinely not interested in most of the hoopla. I like my quiet, peaceful life, I like my old friends, I like my cats and dogs... Ideally, I'd just make movies and skip the rest of the media circus.”

Manyavar is known for coming up with these unique ads which try to bend the rules we all have been following blindly, through their wedding collection. The idea is to connect with the modern brides and their ideology when it comes to their big day.

    © Instagram/Mohey Fashion
After the #DulhanWaliFeeling ad featuring Alia Bhatt that spoke to the millennial women, they have now tried to revisit the traditions of kanyadaan, a ritual where the parents of the bride give away their daughter.

However, the new ad is not sitting well with the audience this time.
    © Instagram/Mohey Fashion
In the video, Alia Bhatt, a bride clad in brand’s bridalwear, boasts about how she has always been pampered at her parent’s house while constantly being reminded that she is a ‘paraya dhan’ who would be sent to ‘her home’ one day by her relatives.

    © Instagram/Mohey Fashion
At the time of kanyadaan, she questions “Am I a thing to be donated?” and says it should be ‘kanyamaan’, and not ‘kanyadaan’.

The ad has apparently touched the nerve of some people who had a lot to say about the brand's ‘audacity’ to question and challenge the Hindu wedding rituals.
    © Instagram/Mohey Fashion
They also had a problem with how every brand ever criticises the Hindu customs only. I have a question, why does it always come down to one thing i.e. religion?

Here is how people are reacting to the ad:
Multiple thoughts on what @aliaa08 thought getting into this:

    1) I will become 4th wife but atleast I will have my dignity!

    2) Kanyadan bad, father giving away bride in Church is sooo romantic and kool.

    3) In her religion she doesn't get equal inheritance.#KanyaDaan #Mohey pic.twitter.com/dvXaGvvUq7
    — Wokeflix (@wokeflix_) September 18, 2021She did an ad for mohay fashion !! They changed the name of the ritual from kanyadhan to kanyamaan .. I mean these are the same idiots who find father giving away daughters hand in church is beautiful but they give us gyaan about hindu rituals
    — pingu (@besojuful) September 18, 2021#BoycottAlia #mohey
They keep attacking our cultures and we still praise them.. #Hindutva #HinduWithBJP #Hinduism #hindi
    — Devmurarjee Mayank (@Devmurarjee) September 18, 2021What’s even more disturbing and worse is that Alia is being attacked personally for this ad more than the brand and the campaign.
From her father’s past statements to her personal life, she is being targeted for simply being in the ad.
Dear @aliaa08, saw your woke Ad which is insulting hindu rituals, specially "Kanyadaan"!

Before you question others, just look inwards to the very industry you work. "Beti paraya dhan" is a line made popular by "BOLLYWOOD".
    — Ron Bikash Gaurav (@RonBikashGaurav) September 19, 2021@aliaa08
They love Halala , Mutah etc...
    And they hate Kanyadaan.
His father was converted to enjoy marriage .See their character.Guttet bollywood. https://t.co/4lNDMYfovS pic.twitter.com/mtVfJAsxZY
    — परन्तप।।।।।। (@Shailen21700429) September 18, 2021It's ironic to take Aalia Bhatt in such Ad..

His father has kept two wives & multiple affairs, clearly the most dignified & respectful atmosphere for a woman.

His boyfriend is also a philanderer.

I'm sure Alia must have passed this gyan to them as well.
    — RTjeevi (@ChallaHai) September 19, 2021Why must we target women in the name of religion? While we don’t have to agree with every idea and opinion that’s served to us, how do we justify coming at a woman for it and attacking her personally?

Every person has a unique style, taste and preference when it comes to getting physical in bed and that can range from being a simpleton and a classic to being so OTT that you end up surprising even yourself at times.

    via GIPHY
While most of it has to do with a certain taste in sexual appetite that gets developed over a period of time and experiences, it may also be impacted by your stars and your star-signs.
Here are the 12 zodiac signs ranked from being super kinky to rather vanilla in bed:
    1. Aquarius © iStock
People with zodiac signs are as intelligent as they are dirty-minded and so, when they combine the two the end result is a whole lotta frisky in bed with moves that won’t let you get tired all night long!

    2. Taurus © iStock
The persistent ones, Taureans may be sensual and loving but there is nothing more they love than brewing some passion in the sheets.

Their love for some romance with a side of nasty is unmatched.
    3. Gemini © iStock
The sign that is often regarded to be rather double-minded, is exactly that when it comes to *** as well. They like to be playful with their partner and depending on their mood, can go from sweet to sexy in the blink of an eye.

    4. Leo © iStock
Say hello to the dominating ones in bed, who love to have it their own way. This sign will always call the shots in the sheets and end up making you roar in pleasure when the time comes!

    5. Aries © iStock
Living up to its fiery reputation, this star sign is known for creating fire in bed with its hot moves. They like to play games and love to indulge in adding spice and everything nice to their *** lives.

    6. Scorpio © iStock
This particular sign is as bold in life as it is when the lights go off in the bedroom.

They’re open about being experimental and are also called to be the ‘*** gods’ of all the signs. Making love with them is a mix of both worlds - vanilla and chocolate!
    7. Sagittarius © iStock
Sagittarians are people who pursue a good *** life and are always looking for something to add to their pleasure in bed. They may not be total freaks in bed but are sure as hell always ready to get down and dirty.

    8. Pisces © iStock
The ones with a creative flair, Pisceans will go to the ends of the earth to etch out creative foreplay if that is what their partner wants. They are loving, considerate and rather giving when it comes to matters of bed.

    9. Capricorn © iStock
Capricorns are deemed perfectionists and perhaps that is why being kinky doesn’t come all that easy to them. They like things prim and proper and will cross any hurdle to give you the best time of your life, but on their terms.

    10. Libra © iStock
This sign loves to take everything in life easy. They are the laidback ones, who will be okay to hop on the wagon when the time comes and do what’s necessary but won’t necessarily be putting in the extra effort.

    11. Cancer © iStock
Cancerians are often at the crossroads of being lustful and emotional and more often than not, emotions win. They get too attached too quickly and would rather take it gently and romantically than go all out.

    12. Virgos © iStock
Well, this sign is the least experimental of them all and that is simply because for them, picking up new tricks in bed isn’t all that alluring. They like sticking to what they know best but with the right partner, they might just be up for something new!

Over the years, be it Bollywood or Hollywood, we have grown up seeing how directors have preferred good looking actors and acting skills have been relegated to the second tier of priority. With the advent of OTT platforms, however, the audience's perception of content has changed and acting skills have taken the front seat over just good looks.
If you have noticed this wave of change, you would have realized that men who aren’t very conventional-looking have started to dominate the space. People have, of late, welcomed men who look ‘nerdy’ on the big screen with arms wide open.
We have made a list of a few Hollywood male actors who have somewhere redefined the way we look at leading men. Well, ‘nerdy’ seems to be the new sexy.
1: Seth Rogen View this post on Instagram
Through nearly two decades of American comedies, Seth Rogen was perhaps one of the pioneers of nerdy looking men on the big screen. He started with a stand-up career in Vancouver and at the age of 17, before deciding to move to Los Angeles. From movies like Neighbors to Knocked Up to An American Pickle, Seth has proved that talent can take you far. He has made his presence felt and we can’t deny that he has carved his niche.
2: Asa Butterfield View this post on Instagram
If you have seen the two seasons of *** Education and are planning to binge watch season 3, you probably have an idea why Asa Butterfield aka Otis is on this list. He has been in the industry for a long time and has given many contemporaries a run for their money. Asa's acting career began when he participated in a youth theater after school every Friday in his town at age 7. He landed the role as the lead protagonist Bruno in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (2008) and there was no looking back after that.
In an interview with The Guardian, he was asked if he ever thought that acting would become a long-time career. He said, “In my early roles, I didn’t totally know what I was doing. You don’t overthink things as a kid. It was like playing make-believe. It wasn’t until working on Hugo that I understood the process of film-making. Marty [Scorsese] would tell me about cinema history and give me films to watch at the weekend. It was the ultimate education. That captured my imagination and made me think maybe I could do this as an adult.”
3: Alex Lawther View this post on Instagram
Alex Lawther has been part of shows like Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror and movies like Departure but the actor believes it was the show The End Of The F***ing World that brought him the stardom he was looking for. He has always been humble about his success. In an interview with Hunger, he was asked why the show was universally appreciated.
He said, “I think because it’s so weird. I’m so proud of its strangeness. I think it was a massive surprise for us because we were aware of this strangeness and we didn’t realize that it would please so many people in different ways, that’s such a nice thing but why I have no idea… I really enjoy the show so I get to say, I feel very close to James and Alyssa as characters, and Bonnie too. It is heartbreaking because when I try and work out what all the characters do, they’re trying to connect with each other and often failing miserably. I think that is really touching and reaches a lot of people and really touches me. Charlie’s [Covell, the show’s screenwriter] genius is being able to take something really sensitive and make it into a really engaging, funny, bizarre thing so you don’t even realize that you are being affected by these youngsters and you’re already on their side. From the outside, you might not think you would be I mean he’s a self-diagnosed teen psychopath and Alyssa is Alyssa, yeah it was a surprise.”
4: Michael Cera View this post on Instagram
An Independent article quotes ‘Michael Cera is the geek who inherited the earth,' and we completely agree because he genuinely has made us swoon over his performances over the years. He forayed into the world of acting as a child actor and now if you look at his cinematic journey, he has given us praiseworthy roles like Evan in Superbad, Paul Bleeker in Juno, and Scott Pilgrim in SPVT.
5: Finn Wolfhard View this post on Instagram
Did you like Stranger Things or IT or the trailer of Ghostbusters? If yes, you can’t help but praise Finn Wolfhard for his acting skills. Finn Wolfhard had originally planned to pursue a career as a director instead of an actor but things changed and we're glad he decided to become an actor. Needless to say, he has always managed to impress the audience with his presence on the screen.

Ever since he announced that he would step down from T20 captaincy, a lot has changed for Virat Kohli in the last one week. It seems like the Indian talisman, who once led the team by example, doesn’t command the same respect within the dressing room anymore. His struggle with the bat is quite evident but it’s his attitude that has started to create a divide within the team.

If reports are to be believed, ever since he came out and questioned the Indian players’ “lack of intent” after the World Test Championship final loss, Kohli lost the respect of his peers.
According to a report published in The Telegraph India, the situation became so serious that at least one senior cricketer raised this issue in front of the BCCI secretary Jay Shah.
    © Reuters
“Kohli is losing control. He has lost respect and some of the players are not liking his attitude. He is no more an inspirational leader and he doesn’t earn the players’ respect. Some of them have reached their limits when it comes to dealing with him,” a report in The Telegraph India quoted sources as saying.

    © Reuters
The WTC final loss was the team's collective failure. The Indian batsmen didn’t score enough runs and the bowling attack failed to pick 20 wickets. Let’s not forget the conditions that were on offer throughout the six days of cricket, the New Zealand players felt at home. They grew up playing in similar conditions all their life and certainly made better use of the conditions.

Hence, when Kohli raised the issue of “lack of intent” and hinted towards an overhaul in the Test side, it took everyone by surprise. He didn’t take any names but it wasn’t hard to figure out who he was talking about. Cheteshawar Pujara had consumed a lot of deliveries in both the innings (8 runs off 54 balls & 15 runs off 80 balls) but couldn’t score enough runs.
    © Reuters
“Virat understands that he no more calls the shots. His powers are on the wane and every move of his will be questioned. There’s no doubt that he is one of the best batsmen in world cricket. But you cannot let leadership burden your batting,” the report added.

The player who was known for breaching the three-figure mark at regular intervals, hasn’t scored an international century in almost two years. The fact everything was going smoothly when runs were coming off his willow shows that his lean patch is playing on his mind and has started to affect his leadership as well.
    © Reuters
One thing is clear that gone are the days when Kohli used to enjoy absolute power in all matters. The developments in the last few weeks indicate a clear shift in the power dynamics and Kohli is definitely not its focal point.

A lot depends on how the team fares in the upcoming T20 World Cup, because one more disappointment in the ICC event could mean an end to Kohli’s limited-overs captaincy.

It’s 2021 and it's hard to believe that child marriage is not only prevalent but still rampant in some parts of India. In fact, it accounts for the largest number of child brides.
The situation even got worse during the pandemic since little girls couldn’t be sent off to work or school and were considered a burden by families who couldn't afford to have them sit at home.
One might wonder what steps the government is taking to actually curb this problem and abolish child marriage in India once and for all.
    © Reuters
Well, the answer is not much.

In fact, the Rajasthan government just gave a nudge to the evil practice in the state, by passing a bill that allows registration of child marriages.
The Rajasthan Compulsory Registration of Marriages (Amendment) Bill, 2021 was passed in the State Legislative Assembly on Friday, despite objections from MLAs from opposition parties.
    © Getty Images
The Bill states that information on child marriage must be submitted by the parents or guardians of the minors within 30 days of the wedding.

The question is why such evil is still being promoted? No surprise that the move is getting backlash from people already.
    © Sphere Origins
Some said it is probably to please a certain section of people that is demanding child marriages to be legalised, while others said why would someone come forward to register the marriage when it’s illegal? Child marriage is a punishable offence for the guardians.

    Has Congress lost its mind?

Rajasthan govt passed a bill allowing "registration" of child marriage!

Minister saying ridiculous stuff like "registering" not same as "legalizing"

    This is liberalism?

And Rahul Gandhi was lecturing on women empowerment

    Why no outrage on this?

The liberal gang, tells children not to play with water colours on Holi and not to burst firecrackers on Diwali, is silent about legalising child marriage. Why?
    — Anshul Saxena (@AskAnshul) September 18, 2021However, the state's Parliamentary Affairs minister’s best argument for this move is that registering doesn’t mean the marriage is valid or legal. Shanti Dhariwal said that the amendment doesn’t mention that child marriages will be validated.

“You say that child marriages will be validated. Nowhere does this amendment say that such marriages will be valid. Marriage certificate is a legal document, in the absence of which a widow won't receive benefit of any govt scheme.”

Instead of thinking about the benefits of the child widow, they should be thinking about the rights of these girls that are compromised because they are married off too early.

When the government should be working towards women’s safety and protecting their rights, this comes as a huge disappointment.

One moment you are going to school, playing pakdam pakdai with your friends, and watching cartoons on Cartoon Network, and the very next, you are all grown up, dreading to go to work, trying to earn more money, and fulfilling life ke unginat expectations.

Like many in the world, you too, have been trapped into believing 'Yeh hi hai life, and ab, isi ke hisaab se chalna padega.' However, at a time when you sadly start adapting to the pressures of living on Earth and forgetting to truly smile, there are moments when you come across movies that break these so-called barriers and talk to you like, "Dost, aisa jeena bhi kya jeena!"

Bollywood too, has given us a lot of such gems that go on to question the entire purpose of life and the rat-race that we have become a part of.

Here are a few movies that you should definitely check out if you are worn down by the pressures of work, commitments, and other things, in order to understand, "Humaare paas jeene ke liye bohot kuch hai."

    1. Jab We Met © Netflix
Easily one of the most memorable movies to be directed by Imtiaz Ali ever, Jab We Met, starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor released at a time when we were all growing up. Now, while it was easy for us to take it as just a film about desi romance while growing up, today it really does feel way more than that. It dealt with things like depression, regrets, betrayal, and even how two people belonging to two different worlds could always teach a new way of living to someone.

Personally, whenever I watched the movie, I could relate to so many things that Geet said about life, and the pressures of relationships and work that impact our lives and make us believe that 'Yehi hai life.' However, through the lens of Geet and Aditya, we come to realize that life has so much more to offer if we just take a leap of faith.
    2. Udaan © Netflix
There is a reason that Udaan worked so well with the audience. Not only did it deal with the education system that continues to force us to pursue something we may not have the most potential in, but it also dealt with how our parents and other elements of the society make it feel okay to not chase one's dreams. We get one life, and we are forced to live it, first according to our parents, and then, life itself.

Well, the character of Rohan in Udaan goes through a lot of ups and downs because of his drunk and abusive father, who forces him to pursue engineering when he clearly has a talent for poetry. In the end, he is forced to choose to either keep living according to his father or pluck up the courage to break these shackles and take 'Udaan' (flight), knowing that only the sky is the limit.
    3. Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara © Netflix
The Zoya Akhtar-directorial really went on to reach heights that probably no one could have imagined. The movie is a continuous reminder of how despite all the paisa, bangla, gaadi in the world, you can still not ignore the importance of friendship and new experiences in finding true meaning in your life.

The movie through the trio Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, and Hrithik Roshan showed that sometimes, it is very important for you to 'throw your mobile phones', shut your computers, social media and embark on newer journeys with your friends. Because life is all about the experiences, the hearts that you touch, and the memories that you make.
    4. Dil Chahta Hai © Netflix
This movie came at a time when no one was expecting something like this from Bollywood. Directed by Farhan Akhtar, the movie was a coming-of-age film that still continues to teach us something new every day.

But most importantly, it gave us valuable lessons in friendship. It taught us that no matter who we are, where we are in life, or how successful we are, life is absolutely meaningless if you can't celebrate it with the friends or people that you love.
Moreso, it showed us that chaahe tum kitne achche dost ho, it is crucial that you are respectful towards the choices of your friends because they think the world of you and what you have to say. (With respect to relationship Akshaye Khanna and Aamir Khan's characters)
All in all, one thing is for sure, when in doubt, book a trip to Goa and chill with your friends because, guys, life is now!
    5. Wake Up Sid © Netflix
When the Aaj Kal, Zindagiiii song by Shankar Mahadevan hits the floor, you know and you can really feel, "Tere Liye Nayi Hai Zameen Naya Aasmaan." The movie showed Ranbir Kapoor's character in a place in life where we all have been at some point in our life, or maybe still are. We don't know what we want from life, or whether this is the right job for us.

The film showed how Ranbir's character still had a child in him that sometimes acted out. But it also showed that like so many he too was figuring out the ways of life. Throughout the film, we see his character evolving and finding his true calling, even if it means going through a few bumps.
In the end, what we learn is that no matter where you are in life, be kind to yourself and realize that life is a lot more than just your work, money, and things that you see on your phone. All you've got to do is just head out and see things for yourself.
