Rakhi Sawant is many things but she is not someone who is going to keep silent if her name is dragged or wrongfully used as an insulting remark, even if it’s a powerful political leader.
She knows how to hit back when it happens and the recent incident is proof enough.
© Instagram/Rakhi Sawant
AAP leader Raghav Chadha recently made a very sexist comment on Navjot Singh Sidhu and unnecessarily dragged the actress in their brawl.
He called the Congress MLA the ‘Rakhi Sawant of Punjab politics’ after he had made a statement criticising the AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over farm reforms.
Chadha had no business bringing a woman’s name into the political war and is being heavily criticised for the same.
© Instagram/Raghav Chadha
Rakhi Sawant also responded to the statement in her own way.
“Raghav Chadha, stay away from me and my name. Jo Mr Chadha ho na, mera naam loge toh tumhara chadha utaar dungi". She added “Mr Chadha, aap khud dekhiye aapko mere naam ki zaroorat padd gaye trending mein aane ke liye. Toh aap socho main kaise trending mein rehti hoon (Mr Chadha, you had to use my name to trend on social media. So, think about how I trend almost every other day).”
© Instagram/Rakhi Sawant
Many television celebrities like Kavita Kaushik and also came in support of entertainer and actress Sawant. They condemned Chadha’s comment for his comment, saying she is a self-made woman and it would be a compliment to compare anyone to her.
Rakhi Sawant- the most hard working who gives her hundred percent loyalty and effort to each project she takes, turning a dull flop show into an entertaining one, she is a compliment compared to the hateful fake counter parts! https://t.co/UQr95AL37B
— Kavita Kaushik (@Iamkavitak) September 17, 2021
Even Rakhi’s husband Ritesh, a businessman based in UK, rushed to shield his wife and tweeted, “Please do not spoil someone personal life because of your political benefits. @ArvindKejriwal, please apne MLA ko educate kejye else agar mai educate keya to kahi bhi AAP nahi dikhega [sic].”
@raghav_chadha , @PunjabPoliceInd ,@BJP4India ,@INCIndia ,@AamAadmiParty , FYI, please do not spoil someone personal life because of your political benefits. @ArvindKejriwal , please apne MLA ko educate kejye else agar mai educate keya to kahi bhi AAP nahi dikhega.
— riteshuk (@riteshuk1) September 17, 2021
Rakhi Sawant shared the screenshot thanking her husband for supporting her. The couple tied the knot in 2019.
© Instagram/Rakhi Sawant
Rakhi Sawant is trending on Twitter right now while Raghav Chadha is getting slammed for using a woman’s name in their political banter, which was extremely unnecessary.
Navjot Singh Sidhu also tweeted in response to his comment. “They say man descended from the apes and the monkeys, Looking at your mind @raghav_chadha I believe you are still descending !, he wrote”
© Instagram/Navjot Singh Sidhu
Rakhi Sawant has nothing to do with the row of the two political parties and Raghav Chadha should not have involved a woman’s name in their mud-slinging. This speaks of pure misogyny and nothing else. Rakhi is happy she is trending, though.

For decades, Bollywood movies have succeeded in entertaining audiences with the stories of the hero taking on the big, bad villains to save the girl he loves.
Now, while the concept of the messiah saving the day, continues to live on even in modern Bollywood films, the idea of villains in films has changed.
© Disney Plus Hotstar
One no longer needs to look the scariest or the evilest in order to play the role of a modern-day Bollywood villain.
Having said that, we surely have to admit that, somehow, Bollywood villains of the 90s and the early 2000s just hit differently.
© Twitter
Be it their physical presence, their evil "I'm Up to No Good" expressions, or just their ridiculously haunting laughter, everything about them was scary and would keep us hooked to movies right until the very end.
Keeping that in mind, here are some classic Bollywood villains of the 80s, 90s, and the early 2000s that still continue to scare us:
1. Amrish Puri © Eastern Films
Amrish Puri was one of those actors that really defined Bollywood's most iconic villains that are remembered to date.
Be it his scary physical presence, his intimidating voice, or fierce eyes that saw right through you, Amrish succeeded in scaring not only us but the most courageous of on-screen heroes.
His performances as the criminal mastermind Mogambo in Mr. India (1987) and Thakur Durjan Singh in Karan Arjun (1996) were insanely intimidating for movie watchers, and he downrightly looked the evilest villain there ever was.
2. Ashutosh Rana © Vishesh Films
No one can forget that Ashutosh Rana's horrific ululating scene from the 1999 Akshay Kumar-Preity Zinta thriller film Sangharsh.
Known for sporting the most intense facial expressions on the tv screen, Ashutosh really scared kids and adults alike with his performances as Lajja Shankar Pandey in the film.
Other than that, his role of a psychotic serial killer ‘Gokul Pandit’ in Dushman (1998) too left audiences scarred for ages.
Unlike his reel life, Ashutosh is actually known to be a completely opposite person, however, as a result of his performances, he's forever carved his legacy as being one of the scariest Bollywood villains one has ever seen.
3. Raza Murad © Zee5
With over 250 Bollywood films to his name, you can say that Raza Murad had quite a presence as a classic movie villain.
However, one of his most iconic performance that struck a chord with viewers was when he played Sir John in 1989's Ram Lakhan starring Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff.
Raza played the role of a foreign national and a smuggler known to be one of the most dangerous men in the world. His character even had a glass eye to make his character look scarier for movie watchers, and guess what? He succeeded.
4. Mahavir Shah © Twitter
Remember that harami-looking guy, who'd stop at nothing to kidnap the hero's girlfriend and do bad things to people in movies?
Well, this was what actor Mahavir Shah played in a lot of movies.
Now, while we know that obviously, Bollywood's villains are notorious for doing that on a regular basis, the fact that Mahavir played those roles effortlessly, all goes down to his acting talent.
Whenever on the screen, audiences would know that the hero and anyone close to him is bound to be in trouble.
This is the reason why he's regarded as one of Bollywood's classic scary villains.
5. Pankaj Dheer © Twitter
While we may not always remember the names of the villains as well as that of the heroes, we sure still remember their faces.
The face of Pankaj Dheer is one of those faces that brings back memories of the scariest villains in movies.
A corrupt and evil police inspector, a gangster, or a hired assassin, Pankaj Dheer has played many roles in his overall career and has excelled at them wonderfully.
What may interest you even further is that his son, Nikitin Dheer, is also a Bollywood regular now, and you might have already seen him in this year's release Shershaah.
View this post on Instagram
Regardless of how Nikitin fairs in the industry, he'd be looking up to his dad for cementing his legacy as one of Bollywood's scariest villains.
6. Yashpal Sharma © Twitter
You know that whenever you see this person on the screen, he's going to give the hero shitloads of trouble.
Yashpal Sharma's amazing performance in Ajay Devgn-starred Gangaajal (2003) is a reason why he became one of the most hated on-screen characters.
His character of Sunder Yadav was downright evil in the film and people are just filled with fear and hatred towards him and he goes on about his life in the movie.
Now, he might have done roles that might be different in other movies, but people are probably always going to remember him as a big, bad scary Bollywood villain from Gangaajal.
7. Mukesh Rishi © Prime Video
A tall and muscular build, scary expressions, and a towering voice. That was what all Bollywood villains would like to have, and well, that's exactly what actor Mukesh Rishi had in plenty.
The actor may have a done a wonderful role of a good guy in Aamir Khan's Sarfarosh, but his performances as a classic Bollywood villain still remain fresh in the minds of the audience.
I mean, imagine a villain with the presence of Mukesh coming up to you to collect Hafta.
I don't know about you, but I'd empty my pockets straight away as he's clearly one intimidating Bollywood villain that one would clearly keep a distance from!

6. Akshay Kumar © Instagram/Akshay Kumar

He is also a proud owner of other homes, including Janak, Vatsa and Prateeksha.
8. Shah Rukh Khan © Instagram/SRK
SRK is called the King of Bollywood for a reason. He has a beautiful sea-facing home in Bandra named Mannat, and it costs a whopping Rs 200 crores.
This house is a six-storey home with a gym, swimming pool etc. It also has a huge library. The house is declared a heritage site and cannot be demolished. It's among the most expensive houses in Mumbai.

A lot of men struggle with facial hair and not everyone can grow a beard. Some end up having patchy and whisky beards till they are in their late 30s and it’s just normal and natural.
However, not being able to grow a beard doesn’t mean you are any less of a man.
While a number of men go through this, those in the limelight suffer the wrath of trolls for trivial things like these every day. For example, Tiger Shroff.
© Instagram/Tiger Shroff
Ever since the actor made his debut in Bollywood, he has been trolled for not having facial hair. Many even pointed out that he didn’t look like Jackie Shroff’s son because he sported the macho look with a glorious moustache, beard and even chest hair back in his day.
© Instagram/Jackie Shroff
In a recent interview with TOI, Jackie Shroff responded to the comparison and trolls his son faced with the sassiest reply.
He said just because he is his son, it doesn’t mean that he will be born with a beard.
© Hotstar
“About this whole macho-macho comparison, he is young. He is still growing. He is a cub for God’s sake and he is getting there. Also, I am glad that he does not look like what people expect him to. Matlab Jackie ka bachcha hai toh daadhi ke saath hi pait se bahar aayega kya (Did people expect him to be born with a beard just because he is my son?)” he said.
© Instagram/Tiger Shroff
He added that his son is least bothered by the trolls and memes and is surprisingly very calm.
"Being compared to Kareena...so cute. And you should see his replies to those comparisons and memes. He was cool with it. He knows his action well so he knew when he fought on-screen or danced, he looked like a Tiger. It’s tough for a guy to dance well when he is good at action. But he does both well,” Shroff added.
© Instagram/Tiger Shroff
A while back, Tiger Shroff had also opened up about the trolling he faced in the earlier years of his career. He said, “I was trolled for my looks. People use to say – Yeh hero hai ya heroine? Ye Jackie Dada ka beta lagta hi nahi hai,” added the actor. He further elaborated, “Just the fact that you have the power to say anything good or bad is sometimes scary.”
© Instagram/Tiger Shroff
That was a pretty good reply to trolls who can’t see beyond an actor’s physical appearance. Good that Tiger is unfazed about the trolling and handles it with maturity and calmness.
Well, he is hailed for his fitness, dance moves and action-packed stunts and calmness. Pretty macho, we would say.

A lot can change within a few days. After India defeated England on Day 5 of The Oval Test, everyone was praising Virat Kohli and his captaincy. That win is still fresh in the minds of every Indian fan but right now, no one is talking about it.
After that win, most experts hailed Kohli as the best captain in the world but look where he is now.
He has decided to relinquish India’s T20 captaincy after the 2021 T20 World Cup citing excessive workload. But everyone knows that’s not true. The BCCI had been preparing the pitch for this announcement for the last six months.
© Twitter
In the last few months, there were several instances that pointed towards Kohli’s diminishing stature in Indian cricket. He had to fight with the selectors for Shikhar Dhawan’s inclusion in the ODI squad for the home series against England. Ravichandran Ashwin was not his first-choice but he was picked in the T20 World Cup squad after Rohit Sharma’s insistence.
All this clearly indicates a shift in power dynamics within the team.
© Reuters
Now, it has emerged that the BCCI wants to bring back Anil Kumble as the head coach of the Indian cricket team once Ravi Shastri’s contract expires after the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
“Anil Kumble's exit needs a course correction. The manner in which the CoA succumbed to the pressure of Kohli and removed him, wasn't the best example set. However, it also depends on whether Kumble or Laxman are ready to apply for the job,” news agency PTI quoted a senior BCCI source as saying.
© Reuters
The bowling legend’s first stint as head coach ended on a bitter note after a fall-out with skipper Virat Kohli. Kumble stepped down from his role after the 2017 Champion Trophy defeat to Pakistan citing his untenable differences with Kohli.
Fans strongly believe that Kumble coming back in contention for the head coach role is another indication that the BCCI wants to take control of everything in their own hands.
Some are even arguing that it's a well-thought-out move by the BCCI’s top brass to alienate Kohli that wants him to give up ODI captaincy as well.
BCCI Indirectly asking Virat to handover his ODI Captaincy by leaking this news.
— Shalini's Googly (@SeamBowling) September 17, 2021Anil Kumble waiting for Virat Kohli to leave ODI captaincy too - pic.twitter.com/bnK5lnN8C6
— g0v!ñD $#@®mA (@rishu_1809) September 17, 2021Bringing back Kumble to coach India is like forcing a divorced couple into a wedlock again..
I know it’s only a rumour as of now but just wanted to make my point, not that it matters to powers that be.
— Cricketologist (@AMP86793444) September 17, 2021Cutting ties with cricket if Kumble becomes India coach again. That'll most probably result in Kohli also resigning from all formats as captain.
— Mikhail (@MikSpamsL2) September 17, 2021If I was at Kumble's place, I would never come back for this job. It's not just the Captain, but also 10 more players declared him not fit to be a good coach. Joining this job back, with the help of your friend who is on the top, would be shamelessness. https://t.co/8m3Hus0M8X
— Ricky talks cricket (@CricRicky) September 17, 2021Interesting choice given the circumstances in which Kumble was asked to leave.
Clearly Indian cricket's Diwali is here, dusting shelves, discarding stuff, cleaning up, what not! https://t.co/PDtkn2w8eC
— Shirshendu Roy (@Shirsh9) September 18, 2021Now it's confirmed it's all Ganguly's plan https://t.co/DXRIBX1MEE
— . (@karthik__sss) September 17, 2021I think BCCI is not happy with Kohli & co. That's why we have seen so many things happening in Indian camp. First Kohli leaving captaincy of T20I, then heard about his odi captaincy as well. Now Kumble as coach.
— Vinay Kushwaha (@VinayKushwaha94) September 18, 2021Definitely think this will not happen.
But if this happens by any chance, then one thing is clear, BCCI is settling scores with virat and playing mind games. They know if kumble is back, virat will voluntarily resign from all formats as captain. Not expected this from dada. https://t.co/LLnLAnldc6
— Mohit Bohra (@mohitbohra07) September 17, 2021The manner in which Kumble was shown the exit door, it’s hard to imagine him accepting the role while Kohli is still out there leading the side.
While nothing can be said with certainty, we just hope that this ongoing off-field power battle doesn’t affect Team India’s on-field performance.

Going over to a movie theatre, binging on nachos and passing a few unsavoury comments on the film, it’s dialogues or the costumes in a way to pass 3 hours of our day getting entertained is quite an easy thing to do.
But to be able to keep us entertained for those few hours in a cinema hall, it takes almost an entire village to come together, and sometimes, even to fall apart...
via GIPHY
We are talking about the kinds of trials and tribulations that the cast and crew of the movie, we enjoy so thoroughly, face while shooting for some of the scenes.
In fact, over the past few decades in the film industry - Bollywood and Hollywood alike, there have been a select few incidents that weren’t just unfortunate but also very dangerous for the actors.
Here are some of the most shocking accidents that happened on popular movie sets:
1. Coolie © Pooja Entertainment
This was back in 1983 when Amitabh Bachchan was shooting for the film and suffered from one of the most dangerous accidents in his career.
During the shoot of a fight sequence with actor Puneet Issar, the legendary actor was accidentally punched by Puneet which resulted in major internal bleeding. He was quickly rushed to the hospital and even declared clinically dead for a few minutes before they put him on a ventilator.
2. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai © Dharma Productions
Popular actress Kajol who played the iconic role of ‘Anjali’ in the film got hurt while shooting for the song ‘Yeh Ladki Hai Deewani’ in Mauritius.
She ended up bruising her face and even lost her memory for a few days. The only one she remembered even then was her husband Ajay Devgn, and kept asking for him while she rested in a hotel in Mauritius.
3. The Crow © Dimension Film
Brandon Lee, Bruce Lee’s son and an actor who was only just establishing himself as a rising action hero in the industry, walked on the sets of the movie The Crow, only to be pronounced dead less than 24 hours later.
While shooting for an action scene, the actor was to be shot with blanks in a gun, however, it was realised that the blanks from the prop gun were missing.
The prop guys modified the live bullets by removing the gunpowder from inside them, however missing the detail that the bullet would still have a lead tip.
During the shoot, when the bullet was actually fired, it ended up killing Brandon Lee.
4. Mother India © Mehboob Productions
This incident hit the headlines everywhere after a dangerous fire broke out on the sets of the movie.
Sunil Dutt who starred alongside Nargis in the movie, somehow managed to save her life after she was caught in the flames. In turn, he suffered severe burns and it was when Nargis nursed him back to health that the two fell in love.
5. Armour Of God © Golden Harvest Goldenway films
The movie that starred Jackie Chan could have resulted in his tragic death, for Jackie Chan suffered a terrible fall.
During a scene, he was supposed to jump from a castle wall onto a nearby tree when missed the tree, fell 25 feet down and landed head-first on a rock. Thankfully, he was saved.
6. Dilwale
While actors Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were shooting for the hit song ‘Gerua’ in Iceland, during one particular scene near a waterfall, Shah Rukh Khan lost his balance and tripped over.
He was about to lose his life but was saved by actress Kajol for she held onto him and kept him from falling.
7. Aeon Flux © MTV Films
The action movie had a scene where the actress Charlize Theron had to perform a backflip but while doing so, she landed on her neck in a really botched up position.
As a result, she suffered from a herniated disc and was told she might end up paralyzed. However, the actress recovered in full shape.
8. MS Dhoni: The Untold Story © Fox Star Studios
Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput who played the titular role of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the film, suffered from three broken ribs.
Apparently, the actor hurt himself pretty bad while shooting for a helicopter shot at the field. He was hospitalised for three weeks after his surgery.
9. The Passion Of The Christ © New Market Films
Actor Jim Caviezel had probably the worst time filming for this movie, for he suffered not one, nor two but several injuries and tragedies during the shoot.
He was reportedly struck by lightning on set, suffered a separated shoulder, hypothermia, pneumonia, as well as lung and skin infections.

Ads in the 90s were the coolest.
Actually, everything in the 90s was cool, be it music, movies or chocolates. It was hands down the best era and all of us 90s kids have special sentiments for that decade.
Obviously then, if anything from that golden time makes an appearance in our dull adult life, we are instantly excited and also, nostalgic.
© YouTube/CadburyDairyMilkIn
You are not a 90s kid if you don’t remember the classic ads such as the 1993 Cadbury Dairy Milk campaign titled ‘Asli Swaad Zindagi Ka’ which had all cricket fans dancing to the tune of ‘Kuch Khaas Hai’ song.
© YouTube/CadburyDairyMilkIn
In the original 40-second long ad, it shows a woman in a cricket stadium biting into a Dairy Milk chocolate as the cricketer on the field is about to hit a century. And when he does, she runs to the ground and starts dancing to celebrate.
© YouTube/CadburyDairyMilkIn
In case you forgot, here is the ad to jog your memory.
The ad has now been recreated after almost three decades by Cadbury and Ogilvy, the ad agency which created the OG ad.
It has been shot frame-to-frame and even the background score is the same.
© YouTube/CadburyDairyMilkIn
That’s right, the same song which we hummed along every time the ad came on our TV when we were kids. However, there is an interesting twist to the new ad. Instead of the woman dancing for the male cricketer, there’s a man this time who cheers for a woman cricketer.
© YouTube/CadburyDairyMilkIn
The ad, although remade and entirely cloned from the 90s ad, is a breath of fresh air as it celebrates and encourages women cricketers.
While the nostalgic play instantly strikes a chord, the twist is a strong message that women’s sports and players deserve equal recognition and a stadium full of people who cheer for them.

In 1994, Ogilvy India made an ad for #Cadbury Dairy Milk.
In 2021, Ogilvy India made the same ad for Cadbury Dairy Milk, with a difference!
