Telugu movie actor Naga Chaitanya is set to make his Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. The actor had shared a picture with Aamir and his ex-wife Kiran Rao from their shoot in Ladakh.
Chaitanya has now opened up about how he bagged the role. Laal Singh Chaddha is the Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump.
In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Naga Chaitanya revealed that he got a call from Aamir himself. He said, “I got a call from Aamir Khan. After discussing the initial modalities of the script, I went to Mumbai for final discussions and was quickly on board. It was like magic! Aamir said he’d watched some of my performances and trailers of my film and was very impressed and that he felt I’d be apt for the role.”
View this post on Instagram
Chaitanya said, “I was amazed by Aamir's excitement and energy levels on the sets, Aamir sir was up-to-date with the developments taking place in the Telugu film industry. He’s a music lover and wanted me to play my ANR and NTR’s old classics, apart from current film songs.”
It was previously said that Chaitanya would play the role of Aamir's best friend in the film. Laal Singh Chaddha had roped in Vijay Sethupathi as well. However, that couldn’t work out.

Talking to News Minute, Vijay said, “Covid happened. It ransacked all our plans. After the lockdown, I had five Telugu projects in various stages of production to complete. I just couldn’t accommodate Laal Singh Chaddha in my schedule.”

The second half of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) will get underway in the United Arab Emirates in a couple of days time, with a high-intensity clash between defending champions Mumbai Indians and three-time champions Chennai Super Kings in Dubai.
Fans and cricket experts are waiting for the T20 extravaganza to resume with bated breath. Like fans, many cricket experts are also busy making predictions about how the change in conditions will affect teams and what should be their game plan going forward.
© Twitter
Having played the entire 13th edition in the Gulf nation, the IPL franchises are totally aware of different conditions that will be on offer and what they need to do to adapt to those changes.
Former India opener and cricketer commentator Aakash Chopra took to social media to share a few learnings from last season that all the teams should keep in mind before making their choices.
Picked a few trends from the first 30 games of #IPL2020 I think most will be valid this time too.
1. Win the toss-bat first
2. Pick genuine pace over medium-pacers
3. Bat cautiously in the PP overs
4. Faster spinners likely to make an impact
Agree? #IPL2021 #CricketTwitter
— Aakash Chopra (@cricketaakash) September 16, 2021
He suggested that batting first after winning the toss would be a wise choice at these venues. Rather than going with medium pacers, teams should pick genuine fast bowlers in their line-up. Batting cautiously during the Powerplay was another piece of advice that he gave to the teams.
However, it was his last advice that got the internet talking.
He argued that the grounds in the UAE are likely to assist spinners who bowl with an extra bit of pace. Apart from getting the attention of countless fans, the particular advice even drew an interesting comment from India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.
Faster spinner bhaiya? #justkidding
— Yuzvendra Chahal (@yuzi_chahal) September 16, 2021
After keeping mum all these days about his omission, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star finally opened up about the much-debated topic. The RCB spinner savagely trolled the national selectors for dropping him out of India’s T20 World Cup squad. Chahal’s exclusion was perhaps the biggest surprise to the majority of cricket fans and experts alike.
Afterall, Chahal was India’s leading wicket-taker in the shortest format and most experts expected him to spearhead India’s spin-bowling attack in the T20 World Cup 2021.
© Reuters
Chahal didn’t take any names but the direction of his dig was quite clear. It was aimed at the chief selector Chetan Sharma. When asked about an explanation for Yuzi’s exclusion, Sharma had said that they did discuss his name but decided to pick young Rahul Chahar because he bowls faster in the air, something that would make him more lethal.
© Twitter/Yuzvendra Chahal
“Yuzvendra Chahal’s name was discussed. But we picked Rahul Chahar over Yuzi as we wanted someone who bowls fast and gets pace off the pitch. He also gets the ball to grip through the surface,” Sharma had said, when asked about the rationale behind dropping the country's most successful bowler.
Here's how fans reacted:
Agar koi spinner hai to wo faster kaise hua aur agar koi faster hai to wo spinner kaise hua....
— Jimidaar (@Khaadku) September 16, 2021That means a spinner should Bowl over 100kmph. PP mey Ball gumega ni swing karega aur middle over mey cutters.
— Karthik kamath (@karthikamath) September 16, 2021Faster spinner bhuvneshwar kumar or deepak chahar
— psy_ ₑᵣₐ {𝓱ₒ!ᗰₑ》 (@Ddark_psy) September 16, 2021Fastest spinners??
— Gupta Ji (@coffeewithrohit) September 16, 2021Faster spinner .... @cricketaakash
— sHAFAAt (@sHAFAt108) September 16, 2021 They might be right in their observations but Aakash Chopra and the selectors forgot that there is no fixed way to win a cricket match. The only way of winning a match is by performing in the middle and Chahal has on most occasions delivered on the field.

Most people go through the ugly phase of a relationship when they think about ending things, but the moment they actually think about a life without their partner, it scares them to death.
It can be a vicious cycle to think and rethink about splitting up. Before you pull the plug on the relationship, you should make sure if it can be salvaged by ‘taking a break’ from each other.
© Kunal Kohli Productions
Taking a break is like pressing the pause button on the relationship while breaking up is the delete button which is pretty difficult to undo. It leaves room for getting back together and saving the relationship.
Taking a break makes things much easier but is it really worth it? What if it ruins the relationship even further?
(2)
Here are all the pros and cons of taking a break and why it could be a better or worse idea than breaking up once and for all, for you to be sure:
Why It Might Be A Good Idea: © NBC
1. You Start To Value Each OtherWhile the bad things might have brought you two to this point in a relationship, taking time off each other makes you miss the good things in them, like how they cared for you and how they added to your life.
It refreshes the relationship with no bad air unlike in breakups.
2. Helps You Think ClearerTaking a break helps you clear your mind and be sure about what you need from this person or relationships, in general. You can see what’s out there, meet people and even focus on yourself in the meanwhile.
3. Prepares You For The Worst & The BestIt helps you prepare mentally for a heartbreak while keeping your hopes high for the good. So, when and if you do break up, it doesn’t hurt so bad.
However, if you get back together, the relationship becomes stronger as you both work on your flaws and make amends where needed.
Why It Might Be A Bad Idea: © Dharma Productions
1. The Uncertainty Is BrutalThere’s always a possibility that you and your partner won’t be on the same page after your timeline for ‘the break’ gets over.
This means, while you are on a break, you will always contemplate if it’s going to end well for the relationship or not.
2. It Can Worsen The DifferencesIf you’re taking a break because there’s a lack of communication, trust or commitment between you two, it can create further distance and differences because since there’s no or limited contact between the two of you, the insecurities can get stronger.
3. Can Damage The RelationshipBeing on a break invites doubts in a relationship and can change your bond even after you get back. Needing a break is a sign of an unhealthy relationship and might weaken it for a long time, if not forever.
© Maddock Films
It could be the best or the worst thing for your relationship, depending on how both of you take it and your equation with each other.
The important thing is to set some ground rules and adhere to them at all costs while you are on a break.

For me, and most people my age, it becomes difficult to even hide a packet of chips you gorged on last night from your parents let alone hiding something big and consequential.
A relationship, for example.
Considering how I can’t even make or maintain a poker face for longer than 3 seconds, it is a nightmare to imagine hiding texts and calls from your beau during the day, especially with the lockdown now.
But looks like 'love' always finds a way and for this man in Kerala, that meant finding a way to hide his girlfriend in his room, away from his parents, for 11 long years. Yep, you read that right.
Kerala man, who hid lover in room for 10 years, weds her finally https://t.co/SHd3pZvHlz pic.twitter.com/xa8rbcJzdl
— The Times Of India (@timesofindia) September 16, 2021
Apparently, a man named Rahman from Kerala along with his lover Sajitha hit the headlines after the couple revealed how the woman had been hiding at the man’s house for 11 years until recently when the couple finally decided to marry each other. Again.
How They Got BustedRahman, who had been missing from his house since 10th March was spotted by his brother Basheer on Jun 7, 2021. He informed the police and when the police nabbed Rahman, he took them to his rented house in a nearby locality.
There, the police found a woman who claimed she was Rahman’s wife. After questioning her, it was revealed that she was in fact the same woman who had gone missing 11 years ago from the same area.
© Twitter
While both Rahman’s folks and the authorities were stumped at how she managed to live barely 100 meters from his family without once coming in sight, the couple shared how it was both of their idea to go through with this.
How She Started Living With RahmanSajitha had told Rahman almost 10 years ago that she did not want to live with her family anymore and so Rahman thought of a way of helping her out.
Sajitha lied to her family about going to a relative one fine day and never returned. Many from the village assumed she eloped with someone else.
Even though Rahman was on the list of suspects, nothing could be found against him. In the meantime, Sajitha made herself comfortable in the one room she was given, which could be locked from the inside. She would use a plastic bag for attending nature’s call during the day, dry her wash clothes in the room itself and would entertain herself with a small TV and earphones.
© Twitter
Although the Kerala State Women’s Commission filed a case against the man for keeping her in captivity, it was revealed that he in fact took care of her and hid her with her own consent. The two got married under the Special Marriage Act at a local sub-registrar office, but none of Rahman’s family members attended the ceremony.
Meanwhile, people on Twitter are still wrapping their heads around this bizarre news. Here are some of the reactions:
The thing that happens in your houses are not happens everywhere
— K3nw4Y (@k3nw4) June 13, 2021She comes out of her room after 11 years and the whole world is in lockdown
— Tino Thomas (@Tman_tino) June 13, 2021Does he know the difference between a normal woman and a caged animal ?
— Mojo Boy (@mojoboy2021) September 17, 2021it is being made into a cute love story..how sweet...
— Kotresh Kumar (@KotreshKumar7) June 14, 2021Before the news agencies romanticize the story a deeper investigation is needed.. There is much more here than what meets the eye..
— Proud_Indian (@ram_kannur) June 13, 2021This is a crime. No doubt. The woman obviously went along with the idea of hiding in a room for 11 years because of a combination of love towards the man and a fear of the society.
Its surprising that the man and his family did not find any impropriety in the whole arrangement.
— Comrade Atticus Finch (@malayaliatticus) June 14, 2021Kerala man who hid his lover in his room for 10 years, marries her finally.
Kuch bhi bolo, bhaiyya, lekin pyaar ho toh aisa!
— Sreeparna Chaudhury (@blowfish_07) September 16, 2021 While there is a lot of mystery surrounding this case, one can't help but wonder as to how is it humanly possible for a person to stay in a room for 11 years...

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 is currently the most complete foldable phone right now. I love the Galaxy Z Flip 3 personally but it still has a few missing features that you can get with the Z Fold 3. Flagship smartphones are getting boring and there’s only so much “innovation” you can do to stand out from the rest. However, Samsung has actually innovated with foldable displays and has now perfected the formula for foldable phones with the Galaxy Z Fold 3. I’ve used the Galaxy Z Fold 3 for almost four weeks and found the device to be the most convincing foldable phone yet. Here’s what I think about the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
DesignThe Galaxy Z Fold 3 is no longer the flimsy and sensitive foldable phone from three years ago. Samsung has worked hard to correct the wrongs and improve on almost everything from the first Z Fold smartphone. I used last year’s iteration for a bit and already found it impressive. Now, Samsung has taken it up a notch by making one of the most premium/luxurious smartphones you can buy right now.
© MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
The moment you hold the Z Fold 3 for the first time, you will notice how sturdy it is. That’s because Samsung made the body using ‘Armor Aluminium’ which is even more durable than what was previously used. In turn, the phone feels like a delight to hold and is by far the most premium smartphone I’ve used in 2021. In fact, I even feel scared to use it without a cover simply because it feels expensive.
© MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
The front and back of the device have also been reinforced using Corning Gorilla Glass Victus which is 80% more durable than standard displays. This means that the phone is less susceptible to scratches, cracks and debris damage. Samsung has also got the IPX8 certification for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 which means it is also water-resistant. The power button also has a fingerprint sensor embedded which falls naturally on your right thumb when using it unfolded or even folded for that matter.
Displays The Galaxy X Flip 3 has two displays i.e. a 6.2-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch foldable display on the inside. The displays have a refresh rate of 120Hz much like every Samsung flagship device that has launched this year. While using the outer display, it definitely feels like you are using a Nokia Communicator from back in the day.
© MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
Both displays are very sharp and have vibrant colours much like what you would expect from a Samsung display. Watching videos on YouTube or Netflix is a pure delight, however I do have to point out that the inner display is a bit reflective. Due to the glossy nature of the inner display, using it under light or sunlight can be a bit difficult. I also have to point out that switching between the two displays is also very seamless which means you can easily switch back and forth while using an app whenever you want to.
© MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
I do have to point out that the crease in the middle is slightly more visible than the Galaxy Z Flip 3 especially when viewing movies or pictures that have a bright background. The viewing experience, however, is now completely uninterrupted. Last year’s Z Fold 2 had a punch-hole camera in the inner display but this year Samsung has opted to embed it within the display. The under-display camera is barely noticeable when starting right at it and the only time you will notice is when viewing it from very acute angles.
The larger display is also perfect for multi-tasking due to the larger real estate available to users. You can easily run three apps at the same time, thanks to the Multi-View feature. You can watch a video, type an email and browse the internet at the same time without any app crashes or glitches.
Performance and Battery Life The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset and has been paired with 12GB of RAM. Keeping those specifications in mind, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 runs as fast if not better than the OnePlus 9 Pro. Battery drain isn’t an issue anymore and games run with the highest settings. Dead Cells particularly looks beautiful due to a variety of factors such as the beautiful display, 120Hz refresh rate and little to no frame rate drops.
In our quick benchmark test, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 scored 1125 (single-core) and 3448 (multi-core) on Geekbench 5. That’s better than most Android smartphones that have launched this year and at par with the flagship devices available right now. For graphics, the Z Fold 3 scored 1440 in 3D Mark’s Android Wild Life Extreme test.
S Pen Support © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
For the first time, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 has support for a stylus. It was on my wishlist ever since Samsung announced the first Z Fold and the company has finally delivered. You can only use the S Pen Fold version with the Z Fold 3 in order to take notes, create drawings or for managing documents. I found it most useful when using document apps where I could easily drag/drop images and text on documents using the stylus. With the S Pen support, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 essentially turns into a tablet when unfolded.
© MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
But the new S Pen is not only meant for doing stylus functions. You can also use it for other purposes such as taking pictures hands-free or play/pause videos. You simply click the button on the pen to use Air Commands and it works almost identical to how it did on the Galaxy Note series.
It’s worth pointing out that the S Pen Fold needs to be purchased separately and I highly recommend purchasing the official case as well. It’s the only way to conveniently carry the S Pen along with the phone since it does not have a dedicated slot to store the stylus.
Cameras Samsung didn’t really rework the camera department and has used the same 12MP primary sensor, 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 12MP telephoto lens as well. While the cameras on the Galaxy Z Fold 2 were capable of taking decent images, I would have liked to see some form of improvement here. Having said that, even though Samsung opted to use the same hardware as last year’s model, it still does a good job of capturing images.
© MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
Sure it does not match up to the Galaxy S21 Ultra but for a phone of this stature, it gets the job done. Images are mostly detailed from the primary camera in good to decent light conditions while I do feel the night mode needs a little bit more work. I also noticed that the ultra-wide sensor does not do a great job at capturing details which can be a problem if you plan on taking outdoor shots.
Much like every Samsung phone, the camera on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 also has the same over saturation effect which I’m not a fan of. Some images ended up looking quite washed out while others looked crisp. It’s the same situation as the Galaxy Z Flip 3 where I found the camera performance to be inconsistent. It’s also worth pointing out that the selfie camera also has a skin smoothening effect that ends up making your selfies look unnatural.
Being a foldable phone, you can flex the display and place the phone on the table to take selfies on the front-facing camera or the primary camera. You can also use the S Pen to take images manually or hold up the S Pen to get the timer started. You can also use the Dual Preview feature where the Camera app displays a preview on the Main Screen and Cover Screen simultaneously. This will help in framing your shot better and let the person on the other side of the camera have a preview as well.
The Final Say The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the pinnacle of folding smartphones that also demands a very high price tag. If you want something innovative, premium and unique, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the only Android smartphone that fulfils these criteria. From incredible multi-tasking features, to a tablet-like experience when needed, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the most versatile smartphone right now.

Due to the pandemic, most adult professionals found themselves flocking back to their hometowns to ‘work from home’.
Living with your parents as a grown-up is probably the best thing after you’ve lived on your own, had Maggi for dinner most nights and had to choose between Netflix and paying rent.
© iStock
Regardless of how spoiled you were as a child, as a responsible adult, you are expected to help around the house and take care of yourself on your own while you enjoy the ‘ghar ka khana’ and fresh laundry folded on your bed every day.
In desi households, you get a free subscription of daily taane if you don’t.
© Viacom 18 Motion Pictures
However, this one non-desi dad, who found his 23-year-old son lounging on a couch pretty much every day, had another approach to make sure he doesn’t add on to their expenses and chores.
He made a list of strict rules that he needed to abide by if he wanted to live under his roof.
© Dharma Productions
He shared on Reddit, “He said it was temporary but he's been here for 4 months and that's not what bothers me but the fact that he adds to our expenses and hasn't started working and doesn't help in any capacity.”
© Dharma Productions
The rules went like this:
"A. No counting on us to do basic tasks and start doing his own laundry and wash his own dishes.
B. No complaining about what's for lunch/dinner and accept and be grateful for the food he eats.
C. No wifi more than 6hrs a day just like his younger sister.
D. No luxuries like Netflix subscriptions and YouTube live streams unless he somehow pays for it himself.”
© Dharma Productions
People on Reddit mostly agreed with all of the above except the ‘wifi rule’, which they thought was a bit too much. However, they said the other rules were pretty reasonable and it was time he took responsibilities around the house like an adult.
Although this is an epic way, desi dads don’t need to make these rules. They just need to look at you in a different way (a sharp stare with a disappointed look and hands on their waist) for you to move your ass at once.
© The Timeliners
While moms spoil their big bacchas rotten with love and care, desi dads make sure their children act straight under his roof, starting with getting up early in the morning.
