Tesla CEO Elon Musk has finally broken his silence on the Afghanistan crisis however it’s not what you may think. Musk shared a picture of Taliban leaders carrying firearms on his Twitter page and noticed that none of them is wearing a mask. Elon Musk added to the thread asking whether the Taliban has heard of the COVID Delta variant or not.
“Not one f***ing mask jesus christ” Musk tweeted. He added to the thread saying “Do they even know about the delta variant!?”

The Taliban took control of Kabul and the rest of Afghanistan last week as the  United States began withdrawing its troops which resulted in many desperate citizens, diplomats and workers trying to flee the country. So much so, some Afghans even held on to the landing gear of the plane during the takeoff of an American military jet. Videos of two people plunging to their death right after takeoff also surfaced online.

Do they even know about the delta variant!?
    — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) August 21, 2021
To be fair, many images of the Taliban that have been published online do not show any of the members wearing a protective mask. However, Musk was criticised on Twitter for criticising the Taliban for not knowing about the Delta variant rather than what is happening in the country.

"Really? You're gonna criticise them on that? And not what they achieved in 19 days what it took the US 20 years and it still failed? I think the delta isn't a priority at this point," a Twitter user commented.

Another Twitter user said “That's not their focus. They are bad folks and their 'mask' shouldn't be your biggest concern about them. You’re a scientist. Do better.”
It could be possible that Musk may have meant it as a joke or as a sarcastic jibe but many of his followers reminded him that he himself behaved like a ‘covidiot' before. It is worth pointing out that the Taliban has reportedly banned vaccinations against COVID-19 in certain parts of the country.
Several international leaders, personalities and celebrities have already denounced the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. However, this is the first time Elon Musk has commented on the ongoing crisis since the fall of Kabul.

Back in the 90s, Hindi-speaking audiences watched South Indian films as just narratives that focused more on cheesy plots and non-realistic stunts. We had a completely distorted image of South Indian cinema that has diversions in itself - Telugu, Tamil, and much more. We have blatantly ignored the fact that there are much more meaningful narratives that add value to Indian cinema.
It was the Telugu movie Baahubali that created history and made us proud as it raised the bar of Indian cinema. Thankfully, we shifted our focus to content beyond Bollywood. We have appreciated Bollywood beauties and now it’s time to praise the talented actresses from down south who can give a tough competition to the Bollywood divas.
1: Rashmika Mandanna View this post on InstagramRashmika Mandanna has her roots in the Kannada industry and has been giving phenomenal performances on the big screens. She has even been tagged as the ‘National Crush’. People think that she has become the epitome of breaking barriers with her movies. Addressing the same, she told TOI, “I’m the epitome of breaking barriers because I can’t deal with a script not reaching me only because of a language barrier. If I get a good script, I’ll do it. I don’t like having barriers or walls around me. I’ll break them and move forward.” We would love to see more of her.
2: Samantha Akkineni View this post on InstagramSamantha Akkineni has already stepped into the Hindi cinema space with The Family Man and people went gaga over her realistic performance in the show. She has been part of the showbiz world for over a decade now but it’s because of the sheer ignorance of the Bollywood buffs, we missed out on her.
3: Nayanthara View this post on InstagramIt wouldn’t be wrong to say that Nayanthara is a lady superstar. She made her acting debut in 2003 with Malayalam cinema and then ventured into Tamil cinema. It was Chandramukhi in 2005 wherein she starred opposite Rajinikanth, she became one of the most popular faces. She broke barriers and became the epitome of women-centric narratives down South. She stays away from the media glare. We have hardly seen her giving interviews and people know her through her powerful performances. One of her directors had said “Nayanthara has never let her personal life influence the shooting. She has never mixed her personal and professional life. She is one among few actresses who respect their career and she stands first on that list. If the shooting was announced to begin at 7 AM she would be there at the exact time. She is not like the actress who would immediately go inside the caravan right after a shot. After her shot gets over, she would eagerly watch her co-stars’ acting. This dedication is the reason for her success”.
4: Anushka Shetty View this post on Instagram
Anushka Shetty is a popular actor who predominantly works in Tamil and Telugu cinema. She stunned us with her performance and grace in Baahubali. It was in 2005 when he stepped into showbiz and has never disappointed the viewers who are always in awe of her.
5: Keerthy Suresh View this post on Instagram
The National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh has portrayed some of the most brilliant characters across Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema. She started at the age of 7 and has been in the industry for a long time. She has been impressing the viewers with her unmatchable acting skills.

A Tesla driver left the wing doors open of a Model X which then collided with a double-decker bus in North London. The Model costs about £100,000 (~Rs 1,01,28,661) and we can only imagine what it might cost to repair the car and the bus as well.
On the Tesla Model X, the car’s doors open up like a falcon’s wing, However it seems like the driver did not notice the door was still open. In the video, shot by a bystander, you can see the Tesla Model X crash into the front windscreen of the bus mere seconds after the camera starts rolling.
The Tesla Model X apparently has at least three warnings when the car’s door is open however it is unclear whether the driver was aware of alarms or chose to ignore them. What makes this incident horrific is that the car smashed into the same side of the windscreen where the bus driver sits.

According to Business Insider, a spokesperson for Transport for London (TFL) confirmed that the accident happened in Southgate, London.

"We are aware of an incident involving a route 125 bus on Saturday in Southgate, and a video on social media of the incident that shows what happened from an onlooker's perspective," Tom Cunnington, TfL's head of bus business development, said in a statement to Insider. "It must have been a really nasty shock for the bus driver, who we wish well, and we are supporting the bus operator's ongoing investigation.”

Telsa’s Emergency Response Guide says that the falcon-wing doors on the Falcon X can be raised and lowered with the push of a button.
Other users on Twitter also pointed out that the Model X’s dashboard beeps continuously and even gives a visual warning if your door is open while driving.

It’s unclear whether this particular Model X had malfunctioned or did not give the driver any warnings at this point in time. However, it is also possible that the driver may have been distracted or ignored the warnings.
Last week, a Tesla crashed into a set of petrol pumps where the driver narrowly escaped the car before the crash. However, in this case, the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol and has since been arrested.

With the Taliban continuously growing in power by taking over one Afghanistan city after another, thousands of locals have lost their homes, gotten separated from their families or even lost their lives. Only a few have actually managed to escape and seek refuge in countries like the United Kingdom, the United States of America and India to name a few.
Under such intense circumstances, one of the most popular faces of the country, Rashid Khan has been arguably the biggest voice of support for his country and when he walked onto the field with the Afghan flag painted on his left cheek, people from all over the world acknowledged his bravery and lauded him on Twitter as well:

“Dear World Leaders! My country is in chaos, thousands of innocent people, including children & women, get martyred everyday, houses & properties being destructed.Thousand families displaced.. Don’t leave us in chaos. Stop killing Afghans & destroying Afghanistan (sic). We want peace,” he had written on Twitter earlier this month.
His national teammate and yet another extremely popular cricketer from the country, Mohammad Nabi also expressed his sorrow as the world watches his brothers and sisters get raped, enslaved and butchered.
future, as their homes are being seized. I appeal to the leaders of the world; please don't let Afghanistan go into chaos. We need your Support. We want Peace.#PeaceforAfghanistan #FreedomforAfghanistan #StopKillingAfghans
    — Mohammad Nabi (@MohammadNabi007) August 10, 2021
“As an Afghan, I bleed to see where my beloved country is today. Afghanistan descends into Chaos and there has been a substantial rise in calamity and tragedy and is currently in a humanitarian crisis. Families are forced to leave their homes behind and head to Kabul with an unknown future, as their homes are being seized. I appeal to the leaders of the world; please don't let Afghanistan go into chaos. We need your Support.  We want Peace.,” Nabi wrote.
Both Khan and Nabi are scheduled to join their Indian Premier League team SunRisers Hyderabad in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the 2021 season of the tournament is expected to resume in the Middle East after getting disrupted due to the bio bubble breach in India.
