Men's wardrobe staples aren't merely plain, uninteresting garments. They're the foundation of a superb ensemble. Whether you agree or not, men frequently shop for tops and spend significantly more on footwear and outerwear than they do on bottoms. We tend to rely on basic jeans and chinos that go with practically all of our shirts and T-shirts, paying little attention to what's below the waist.
You don't have to spend a lot of money on your trousers, but investing in high-quality items that will last a long time is smart and equally vital. To assist you, we've compiled a list of some of the greatest trousers available.
Wardrobe essentials:
1. Tailored Black Trousers__ECOMPRODUCT__1302__
A well-tailored pair of black trousers is always a good choice in a man's wardrobe. It doesn't matter if you wear them with your formal clothes or a fun T-shirt; they're all good and, most importantly, safe. The fit is crucial, whether you buy them off the shelf or have them customised. Choose a cut that you prefer and a fabric that is both comfortable and sturdy, and you're ready to go.
2. Linen Trousers__ECOMPRODUCT__2415__
On a sweltering summer day, a pair of exquisite linen trousers could be your go-to. You can count on them even during the rainy season because linen is one of the simplest textiles to dry. To obtain an effortless appearance that works best with linen, choose loose fit pairings in neutral and earthy colours. You'll be ready to go to the beach in no time if you pair them with your favourite linen shirt.
3. Slim Fit Jeans__ECOMPRODUCT__2416__
There's no denying that a pair of jeans is the pinnacle of wardrobe-essentials. We would say yes if you want to invest a lot of money because a nice pair of jeans that fits you properly will last you a lifetime and more if you take care of them. When it comes to jeans, you know the drill: Wear them on a date with a blazer or to the mall with a T-shirt.
4. Sweatpants__ECOMPRODUCT__2417__
Yes, it's wonderful to be dressed up practically all of the time. On the other hand, Sweatpants are comfier when you're working out at the gym or travelling. The best part is that it doesn't take away any of the cool elements. They'll look great with your favourite sweater or a matching sweatshirt and sneakers for your flight.
5. Shorts__ECOMPRODUCT__2418__
There's nothing like a pair of shorts to keep things basic but cool. Particularly if the silhouette is one-of-a-kind. The super short shorts trend has no restrictions when it comes to length. However, you should go for a pair that is comfortable in length. We leave it up to you whether you pair them with your dad shoes or bulky sandals.
To Wrap UpHaving a holistic wardrobe is important because you never know what looks an occasion calls for. Every man should have a few varieties of bottom wear in their closet and trust us when you get one of each kind, you will thank us.

Watched Marvel’s Eternals trailer yet? Yeah, it looks pretty dope with the brilliant star cast, the immortal alien as the new-age superheroes and oh, the powerful theme song.
Speaking of which, did you notice that the theme song sounds a bit too familiar?
© Marvel Studios
Yes, it might have a desi connection. At least, Indian Twitter users seem to think so.
Turns out, Desi Twitter noticed an uncanny similarity between the theme song of Eternals and a song from one of the most-loved Bollywood films of all time Hum Aapke Hain Koun…!
The hook riff in the theme song reminds one of the Hindi song ‘Pehla Pehla Pyaar Hai’ from the 90s classic movie starring Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan.
© Rajshri Productions
It was actually lyricist, poet and stand-up comic, Varun Grover who pointed a finger at the eerie similarity. And, honestly, you cannot unhear it after you listen to the 90s Bollywood hit song.
So, proceed at your own discretion.
© Instagram/Varun Grover
Varun shared the link of the trailer on Twitter and wrote, “The hook riff from 'Pehla pehla pyaar hai' reworked as the theme music for Marvel's ETERNALS?” It proves nothing can be hidden from the sight of the desi, or ears in this case.

People were surprised and lauded him for the shrewd observation.
Many noticed it while watching the trailer for the first time while some went back and realised the almost similar tone.
Take a look at some of the hilarious reactions from confounded people.
YES! I thought the same.

— PrutsInBoots (@PrutsInBoots) August 19, 2021Could this theme song actually be inspired by this popular Bollywood song from Hum Aapke Hain Koun? Well, every 90s kid’s childhood has been spent listening to this song because we have practically grown up watching this film with our family.
So, if the Indian Janta thinks there’s a similarity, there most definitely is.
© Rajshri Productions
And, as far as the theme song being 'inspired' is considered, it happens all the time. Even we are guilty of getting ‘inspired’ by the music from the west.
As a user replied to Varun Grover’s tweet, “The cinematic universe is circular, it seems.” We agree.

Did you notice it while watching the trailer? Let us know if you go back to watch it again just to listen to the tune again. We know you will.

Swara Bhaskar is one Indian celebrity whose name never really goes out of the news. Whether it's her movies, television shows, or her political opinions, Swara is a person who is very vocal about things she believes in, for which she actually ends up getting a lot of stick on social media.
© Twitter
However, with no control over keeping a tab over what people post on social media, things can really go out of hand, and so they do according to Swara. The 33-year-old actress says that she's subjected to a lot of nasty comments online whenever she posts anything.
She says that some posts are so vulgar that they are equivalent to ‘cyber sexual harassment', however, she refuses to be bogged down by them. In a recent Twitter Spaces chat, Swara said that whatever she posts, everything gets linked to her masturbation scene in Veeri Di Wedding.
Okay, well, in all honesty, that somehow doesn't feel nice at all. Imagine going through something like that every day. Swara took to Instagram to share a post about how trolls stop at nothing to constantly attack her on social media.
View this post on Instagram
“Social media is a [virtual] public space like roads & restaurants are, but the public decency and basic social etiquette maintained offline are absent online. I can’t even post a photo of a flower without people linking it to masturbation or referencing ‘ungli’ (finger) after Veere Di Wedding came out,” she said.
“It’s ugly and amounts to cyber sexual harassment but I feel very strongly about not succumbing to online bullying or limiting my presence online because of it. We cannot cede the virtual public space to hate, bigotry and bullying,” she added. She captioned her post, “Speak your truth. Stand your ground.”
© Balaji Motion Pictures
Veere Di Wedding starring Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara, and Shikha Talsania, was a movie about friends Kalindi, Avni, Sakshi, and Meera who come to meet Kalindi after getting to know that she is getting married to Rishabh, her boyfriend. The plot revolves around how they end up rediscovering themselves while being on a trip to Thailand.
Just recently, the movie completed its three years of release and with trolls taking Swara's case at every opportunity available, Swara had a message for them. “3 YEARS (June 01) to the birth of an obsession - my nafrati chintus obsession with my fingers! Happy 3rd to the film that gave rise to an economy: the two rupees per tweet employment guarantee scheme that it seems I launched for my trolls #veerediwedding #sakshislays,” she wrote on Twitter.

Ever since Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he has been subjected to some of the most disappointing social norms this country has. Being treated as an eye-candy and made to sit uncomfortably in front of a camera while a bunch of ladies danced for him have to be top-two amongst these.
Ladiesssss..Yes I got the hard hitting, deep answers too but..Take the first 4 secs before the cam moves to the zoom call to guess who we are dancing for ;) #udejabjabzulfeinteri and then tell me I did it for all of us #gold #olympics #neerajchopra @RedFMIndia @RedFM_Mumbai pic.twitter.com/SnEJ99MK31

However, we are here to talk about something good, something positive the athlete did years before getting the top-spot at the quadrennial sporting event.
A kid from Panipat, completely confident in his own skin and unashamed of the fact that he prefers to communicate in Hindi, rather than English, the javelin thrower was invited to a 2018 literary festival as a guest of honour alongside Bollywood actor Rahul Bose.
At the time when they were taking questions from the audience, one of the attendees wanted to ask him about how he deals with setbacks in his sporting career. Obviously, his first instinct was to ask the question in English.
“I would like to ask you a question that at times you’d get frustrated because of that...” he began to talk on the microphone but was paused in his ways when the athlete, while trying his best not to offend anyone, asked him if he knew Hindi and requested him to ask his question in the same language as well.
View this post on Instagram
“Bhai, hello, Hindi aati hai aapko? Hindi mein poochh lo yaar,” he said with a big smile on his face as the audience laughed and clapped as well.
This is when Bose - the gentleman that he is - offered to help him with his translation needs, but Neeraj had taken care of the problem all by himself. His response had done the work for him and the attendee was all set to ask his question.

“Jab aap ek level ke upar nahi jaa paate apne sport mein toh uss time ki frustration ko aap kaise mitate ho?” he asked with a lot more intention and seriousness on his face.
“Haan, bilkul bhai, aisa hota hai ki humara performance atak jaata hai aur hum kitni bhi training karlein… injury hoti hai ek khiladi ke life mein jo sabse zada rukawat leke aati hai. Toh hum yahi koshish karte hein ki injury aane de kyunki injury ek baar aajati hai toh wohi performance wapas laane ke lie humme do saal bhi lag sakte hein,” said the gold medallist.

Mohabbatein fame Preeti Jhangiani began her career with Rajshri Productions' music video titled Yeh Hai Prem opposite Abbas. She then started featuring in Nirma sandal soap and various other ads that gave her the hype needed to step into mainstream movies. She stepped into the world of cinema with the Malayalam film, Mazhavillu. She then acted in two Telegu films, Thammadu opposite Pawan Kalyan and Narasimhanaidu opposite Balakrishna.
View this post on InstagramShe made her Bollywood debut in 2000 with a super hit film Mohabbbatein where she was cast opposite Jimmy Shergill. The film also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and others. She was also seen in a few more Bollywood movies like Baaz, LOC Kargil, Aan, and others.
People loved her as the ‘adarsh naari’ and accepted her that way. They couldn’t imagine her kissing people on screen or wearing revealing clothes. She chose to stay away from Bollywood as she was being typecast and directors couldn’t offer her meaty roles.
View this post on InstagramIn a recent interview with TOI, she said how people were unwilling to accept her in any other roles but ‘bechari bahu’ character. “Some people did try to change it. I did Victoria No 203 where I played a negative character; I absolutely loved it. I still use photos from that photoshoot, I am in so much love with them. I really did try to get away from the typecast but the audience didn’t accept it. Even if I wanted to do a kissing scene, they wouldn’t accept it, though I did have a kissing scene in a Rajshri video too. In films, I feel, people just refused to accept it. I still have diehard fans who tell me not to wear anything but just saree kind of things," she said.
She added, "People still call me the ‘Chhuimui girl’ or the ‘Mohabbatein girl’. I am stuck with these two tags and I am fine with it. Midway into my career, I was like, ‘Can you please offer me something else?’ I didn’t want to play the bechari bahu (helpless daughter-in-law) anymore. I was not denied roles but I was completely typecast."
View this post on Instagram
She also said that she didn’t relate to the characters that she played on the big screen as in real life, she didn't even own a 'salwar-kurta'. Well, this is quite an irony.
What do you think of these stereotypes? Would you have liked to see Preeti in other, different roles? Let us know in the comments section below.

An Italian student decided to tattoo the QR code of his COVID vaccination certificate in an ingenious move to prove he is vaccinated when travelling. All digital certificates in the European Union (EU) have a QR code on the certificate so that people can travel freely within the member states.
However, while travelling you can forget your COVID vaccine certificate papers or have your smartphone run out of battery when you most need it. Andrea Colonnetta decided to get the QR code tattooed on his arm so that it is always available for scanning everywhere he goes.
© Instagrma
“It’s certainly something original, I like to be different," Colonnetta, from the southern city of Reggio Calabria, told Corriere Della Calabria newspaper. Colonnetta also said that he didn’t give much thought in advance before getting the tattoo but decided to go ahead as it was practical.
The underside of Colonnetta’s left arm now bears the QR code of his official Italian COVID vaccination certificate. This certificate gives proof that the person has been vaccinated, has recovered from COVID or tested negative in the last 48 hours.
© Instagrma
Not only while travelling, but the digital QR code is also required in Italy to get into museums, cinemas and indoor sports venues. It is also required to visit indoor restaurants in the country.
Colonnetta said that he received a lot of attention on Instagram and TikTok, but his parents weren’t sure about the decision. “Certainly they encouraged me to be less impulsive and to better reflect on things…" he told the paper.
It is worth pointing out that the QR code tattoo actually works as Colonnetta tested it while entering a McDonald’s. He took a picture of the arm and asked the security guard at the fast-food restaurant to scan it. However, what’s confusing is why Colonnetta had to take a picture of the QR code in the first place when he could have just shown the tattoo to the security guard.

She said, "When I reached India, it was nothing like (what I had imagined). I was thinking I'll get picked up by a limousine and a butler, and they're going to take me to a suite, and I would go to my auditions in that limo. It was nothing like that. I had the biggest slap on my face. The bullying, the rejection, the traumatic experience that I went through."

With the third Test between India and England starting from August 25, 2021 at the Headingley Carnegie in Leeds, a lot of conversation is taking place about the kind of falling out the two sides had during the second Test match at Lord’s and how that is going to leak into the upcoming game.
In an online Sports Tak interview with former Indian cricketer Farokh Engineer, the subject of racism came forward, in which he was asked whether he had faced a difficult situation because of the colour of his skin and here’s what he said:
“They used to call us ‘bloody Indians’ and used to make fun of our accent but I gave it to them back on the pitch by scoring runs and wicket-keeping and by gaining respect. Only then did Team England begin to consider ‘these Indians aren’t fools’.”
“We aren’t weak either, we’re also powerful. Just because they have whiter skin than us, they aren’t superior. I tried to tell them that ‘I am not equal to you, but we Indians are better than you. That is the image I portrayed to them’,” he added.
Here’s when Engineer was asked whether he sees a reflection of himself in the current captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli, whose strong words against James Anderson got picked up by the stump mics during the London Test.
This is pure theatre and we are only 2 matches in
Test match cricket, never change. pic.twitter.com/yT5yvGIF3B
— England's Barmy Army (@TheBarmyArmy) August 18, 2021
“Oh, yes,” Engineer said. “They [the English] don’t like it because they aren’t used to getting it back. Our Indian cricketers used to keep quiet… but when you give it back to them, they start respecting you. I admire Virat for that. He has been an aggressive captain, but it has to be within limits.”
“Banters continue to take place at the pitch. Sometimes it even gets a bit personal when they start talking about your colour. Back in our days, our skin colour was a big issue. Today, they can’t talk about our colour because racial comments are a very big issue and we could even sue them. But they can insult you in different ways.”
"You swearing at me again are you? This isn’t your fu***ng backyard," Kohli had barked back at Anderson during India’s second innings at Lord’s. "Chirp chirp chirp. This is what old age makes you do," he added.
