When Kabir Singh released around two years ago, two things happened. The music album became an instant hit with the audience and on the other hand, the movie was called out for its sexist narrative, and the protagonist for being a weird misogynist. However, the movie ended up being a big success at the box office. Now there’s an old video clip from Bobby Deol's Aashiq which is being dubbed as his audition for a hypothetical Kabir Singh. Here, have a dekko first:

The scene in question here is being compared to the one where Kabir threatens Preeti to leave everything on the day she is getting married and creates a ruckus, demanding her to leave with him. Here, a similar scene exists long before Kabir Singh was released, thus giving rise to memes around DJ Bobby being the OG Kabir.

Who would have thought back in 2004, that then tech minnow Facebook, would eventually become the internet behemoth it has evolved into. Over the years the social media platform has made itself an integral part of daily lives around the world, with around 2.80 billion monthly active users (MAUs). However, this increased access to each other’s lives may have come with its own drawbacks, with Facebook often accused of influencing and promoting politically right-leaning content.
As a counter to that, Facebook decided to release a quarterly report of its own. The ‘Widely Viewed Content Report’  published by the California based tech giant on Wednesday shows a far different side to the tech giant than we would expect.
Memes, viral challenges, absurd questions and pop tests seem to be the kind of content being consumed by most users on this platform, not hyper political content as had previously been alleged.
What’s most surprising is that users on the social media platform seem to have viewed a form of personality test posted by an Indian monk the most.

This test (as he calls it) designed by Gaur Gopal Das, a former HP engineer turned monk, guru, spiritual author, personal coach and inspirational speaker, seems to have struck a chord with Facebook’s users. Between April 1, 2021 and June 30, 2021, around 80.6 million people accessed the Indian Guru’s word puzzle, ‘First Three Words You See Are Your Reality’, according to the report.
The top spot may have been an interesting revelation, but the lack of an observable pattern in the report in the viewing habits made it a rather strange list, showing the strange consumption habits of its users.

Relatively unknown in our parts of the world, rapper Ace Gutta's inane post was next in line, managing to garner 61.4 million viewers.

The only pattern that the Facebook giant could note was that its users preferred interacting with photo or video form content. Beyond that, the content consumption pattern was downright weird.

According to the report, a Wisconsin based firm that connects Green Bay Packers fans to its former players claimed the top spot for the most viewed link on Facebook. Following in second place, was the link that connected users to Pure Hemp’s e-store, a brand that sells CBD (Cannabidiol) products.

All in all, this entire report seems to be straight out of a strange, parallel universe. Its absurdities and lack of a coherent pattern are disconcerting for some reason. Perhaps it's a pushback by Facebook to the various independent studies that dispute the tech giant’s claims of having neutral content on the platform.
All in all this report is definitely one interesting read!

India is a land of many traditions and let's just say that Bollywood is one tradition that most of us Indians have followed from the start and carry on doing so still. Be it 90s, or early 2000s' hero-villain fights, the cliched love stories, or unbelievable, crazy action-packed sequences, we've loved all of it, and growing up, it gives us a sense of nostalgia that is irreplaceable.
    © Netflix
Now, while actors like Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and others continue to entertain us till date, there are a few actors who we loved watching but retired from Bollywood early. Well, here is a list of such Bollywood actors who really impressed us with their performances in whatever roles they played, but quit Bollywood when they could have offered so much more.

    1. Rajat Bedi © Twitter
Remember the badass Bollywood villain who would try stealing the hero's girl or at least always make sure that he is in trouble? Well, the tall and muscular Rajat Bedi was the king of acting notorious 24/7 in movies like Koi.. Mil Gaya, International Khiladi, and Jaani Dushman.

In fact, he was so good at doing his job, that we probably couldn't have imagined a bigger jack*** than him in movies. While a lot of credit should go to his acting talent, the truth is that Rajat cut his Bollywood career short by moving to Vancouver, Canada in search of better business projects.
    2. Rahul Khanna © Instagram
Son of famous late actor turned politician Vinod Khanna and elder brother of Akshaye Khanna, Rahul Khanna had everything in the locker to make it big in Bollywood. The actor, VJ, and writer even won a Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for Deepa Mehta's Earth (1999) and went on to work in a Spike Lee (director of Malcolm X, BlacKkKlansman) film 3 AM.

However, Rahul suddenly decided to leave acting in films and now works as a model and an Instagram influencer. Well, to be fair to him, the good-looking actor sure does well to leave his audiences impressed with amazing photos of himself.
    3. Sahil Khan © Instagram
Remember the extremely muscular fellow alongside Sharman Joshi in the Style movie series? Yeah, well, Sahil Khan's debut was an impressive one and he was touted to have a good reign as an actor in Bollywood right after it.

But he quietly left Bollywood to pursue another career outside of it, with an additional reason being nepotism. Sahil did so well that he even got featured on a Stardust cover alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
    View this post on Instagram
As per his post, he even blamed Salman for him being dumped out of films, which was one of the many reasons he quit acting for good. Well, it's not all bad for Sahil as he has done pretty well in life outside of Bollywood.
He now works as a fitness enthusiast and an influencer who has a lot of gym franchises under him. Clearly, he was as street smart as in his debut film and went on to do well in life.
    4. Chandrachur Singh  © Twitter
Chandrachur Singh played the chocolate boy/boy next door roles in hit films like Kya Kehna and Josh starring Shah Rukh Khan. I mean, just to be on a similar level like SRK in a movie is no small feat, and people really thought he'd go on to achieve more stardom in the future.

However, Chandrachur too, left Bollywood suddenly as he felt he couldn't get the content-oriented films that he wanted to do. Well, he did come back to star in Disney + Hotstar's Aarya last year, and with the OTT platforms focusing on more content-oriented films, we feel he can make a good comeback if he wants to.
    5. Deepak Tijori © Zee5
The good-looking actor fared well in a lot of hit movies like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Khiladi, and Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, acting with stars like Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Shah Rukh Khan in the process. Not a lot of people know but in starring as the villain in Jo Jeet Wohi Sikandar, he actually beat Akshay Kumar to the role.

Well, with a bright future in sight, Deepak decided to take a new path and started working as a director. It's not ideally true that he left Bollywood per se, but he surely is not acting a lot now.

The second Test between India and England might have ended but the battle between the two camps is far from it. When the match was on, we saw tension build up throughout the game as players from both sides decided to have a go at each other, which resulted in so many several heated altercations at different points during the game that it became hard to keep a count.
    © Reuters
However, apart from India’s remarkable victory, the biggest talking point of the game was the fight between Indian skipper Virat Kohli and England's veteran fast bowler James Anderson. The two stalwarts of the game came face to face on several occasions but things got really heated up during India's second innings on Day 4.

    © Reuters
During the normal play, most of us following the game on our TV sets couldn’t hear the whole conversation that took place between Kohli and Anderson due to various reasons. The Barmy Army, a group of England cricket fans, posted a video on their official Twitter handle of the whole sledging incident, with subtitles, thinking it would make people fall in love with Test cricket, if they aren't already.

“This is pure theatre and we are only 2 matches in. Test match cricket, never change,” it tweeted.

    — England's Barmy Army (@TheBarmyArmy) August 18, 2021
On the contrary, it sparked a massive fight between fans from both countries. While the Indian supporters criticised Anderson for being a bully, English fans weren’t pleased with the words that Kohli had said to their all-time greatest fast bowler.
And also more wins than england
    — Lokish Balachandran (@GeniusRosicky) August 18, 2021I mean he has more international centuries than your top 6 combined so yeah ok
    — Rohan (@Rohantweetss) August 18, 2021Speak honestly, how many itchguards have you brought after the lords test?Your fast bowlers thought of giving it back to bumrah and got stunned big time
    — Abc (@imyash0007) August 19, 2021You do realize it was Anderson who started it right? And then it was Buttler so as I see it, Kohli and rest of the team just returned the same volleys back with interest. You don't get to decide where the Line™ is, that's Australia's job.
    — Vedant Pratap Singh Jadon (@vpsjdon) August 18, 2021He’s going to do it no matter what because then Eng focus on getting even instead of focusing on the basics as we saw on day 5. Getting kohli out wont mean we’ll be beaten this time around. There are others.
    — Sahil Panse (@sahil0909) August 20, 2021Mitch I know England team and English fans all are going through a tough time and I hope this will continue for years to come both in cricket and football
    — Sobhan Pradhan (@DrSobhanPradhan) August 18, 2021Are you sledging Kohli or the English attack?
    — Fahad Moti Khan (@FahadMotiKhan) August 18, 2021Yeah Kohli has most number of international hundred behind Sachin, no active batsman is close to him on that account, I think it's baffling the disrespect he gets just because he gets under your skin
    — Shibashish Mukherjee (@ShibashishMukh4) August 18, 2021He has also put us 1-0 up. The chat seems to be working.
    — Sahil Panse (@sahil0909) August 18, 2021 England fans tried to troll Kohli by bringing up the fact that instead of sledging the opponent, Kohli should focus more on his batting which has been on the decline for quite some time now. Some of them even argued that Kohli is only good at sledging, nothing else. They tried to pull him down by comparing him to fast bowler Mohammed Shami who has scored more runs than what Kohli has managed in the first two Test matches.
    © Reuters
The Indian fans were quick to respond and reminded them that unlike England, who are a a one-man team as they rely heavily on their skipper Joe Root for scoring runs, the visitors are not dependent on Kohli for bailing them out with the bat because they have many quality-batters in their ranks.

The England fans forgot that the way Jasprit Bumrah and Shami batted on the final day of the Lord's Test, they outperformed some of England’s top-order batsmen by a country mile. So, instead of focusing on Kohli’s performance it would be better if they acknowledge the faults in their own side and gear up for the third Test.

Salman Khan was recently stopped at the Mumbai airport to perform his security check by a CISF officer.
According to a report by HT, the actor was headed to Russia for his upcoming film Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif. In a video shared by a paparazzi account, the actor was welcomed by many photographers and fans at the airport.
Salman Khan managed to dodge the crowd and made his way to the entrance of the airport and a CISF officer stationed at the door stopped him and asked him to complete his security check before he could enter the airport.
The security personnel also helped in controlling the crowd that was behind Salman Khan at the airport. The gesture has also caught the attention of people on social media and they are praising the officer for doing a great job.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is set to launch in India on August 24 and I got to spend 24 hours with the device. I can say that it is one of the most exciting smartphones I’ve used all year. After using the device for a day, I can say that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will probably be the ultimate flagship smartphone to own in 2021. Here’s what I feel about the Galaxy Z Fold 3:
Design and Display The Galaxy Z Fold 3 may look very similar to its predecessor but for some reason, it feels like a better iteration. The first thing you will notice is the premium feel of the device’s chassis. To be honest, I don’t think “premium” is the right word to describe the feel of the phone as it feels more like a luxury product. In fact, I was scared to use the phone initially, assuming that if I broke something, I may have to sell my car to get it repaired.
    © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
However, as I got more comfortable with holding the phone, I remembered that it’s made of Gorilla Glass Victus. It might be hard to believe, the phone feels more durable than the last one. The hinge and the back of the phone are made of metal where the back of the phone has a matte finish. I prefer the matte finish as the phone is far less slippery when held. With a phone that costs almost Rs 1.5 lakh, I felt reassured that the phone will not slip out of my hand that easily.

It is worth pointing out that the phone does feel heavy and hefty, somewhat similar to the Nokia communicator. It is still lighter than any of its predecessors, however if you’re coming from a regular smartphone, you will feel the difference in weight right away.
    © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
Now let’s come to the exciting part. The Z Fold 3 5G features a large 6.2-inch cover display and a larger 7.6-inch inner folding display, both being AMOLED units. However, this time around, the inner display does not have a punch-hole camera cutout which is instead embedded within the display. This helps in providing better immersion when watching movies or playing games. Both displays also have a refresh rate of 120Hz which means you get the smooth OneUI experience out of the box.

    © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
In my initial use, the inner display has been a pure joy to use, especially for watching content on Netflix. In most cases, you don’t really notice the crease in the middle unless you are looking at something with a white background or from an acute viewing angle. You can feel the crease when using the display for typing or navigation, but it really isn’t too bothersome as you get used to it after a few hours.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 also has support for the S Pen, however for now I haven’t been able to test it as the review unit didn’t come with one. In fact, Samsung has not even revealed any details about the S Pen for India for the time being which could change by the time the smartphone launches.
    Why It’s Exciting  © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla
This is the third generation of foldable phones by Samsung and it seems like the company is confident about foldable displays. When using it, I couldn’t help but notice that folding and unfolding the display is very addictive, which you tend to do often for browsing the web or watching video content. It also made me nostalgic for my old Nokia Communicator from back in the day. The ability to convert my smartphone to a small tablet is no small feat. I can use the phone’s outer display for daily communication and browsing the web. But if I want to watch a movie, I can take full advantage of the 7.6-inch inner display. This ability to whip out a larger display whenever you want makes the Galaxy Z Fold 3 one of the most versatile phones right now.

What About Everything Else? The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset that has been paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM. On paper, the smartphone should be at par with flagship phones with similar configurations. However, since it has only been 24 hours, I haven’t been able to test games like Genshin Impact and Battlegrounds Mobile India as of now. It’s also not enough time to give an educated report on the battery life right now which I will elaborate more about in my full review.
However, so far, my experience with the Z Fold 3 has been quite impressive where I haven’t noticed any software bugs or crashes. Most apps adapt well to the larger inner display and work just as advertised. To know more about the cameras, performance and gaming capabilities, stay tuned for my official review.
