The former couple tied the knot in October 2013 and share two children
-
If you happened to scroll Twitter today, you’d be surprised that one of the trending terms is Rabindranath Tagore. However, the reason is a little unusual. During a visit to Visva Bharati University, education minister Subhas Sarkas sparked a row when his controversial statement around Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s complexion baffled people.
He exclaimed that Tagore’s mother treated him differently because of his dark complexion. "Tagore's mother and some other relatives would not hold him in their arms because he was 'dark-skinned. There are two kinds of fair complexions. One that was bright yellowish and the other that was reddish. Tagore was fair but of the second variety and therefore was cuddled by his family less often than other fairer children," the minister claimed.

A lot of people have questioned this claim and want to understand how an education minister can make such assumptions.
Our new MOS Education Subhas Sarkar who is also a BJP MP from Bankura has claimed today that Tagore was dark skinned, so he was highly neglected in his family.
Fact: Tagore was not dark skinned and there is no evidence to suggest that he was neglected because of his skin colour
— Sourav(সৌরভ) (@sourav_sngupta) August 18, 2021
After getting a lot of flak, the Union minister claimed that his words would only elevate the Nobel Laureate’s respect further and that it was all taken in a wrong context. Well, our ministers should watch what they say and maybe thinking out loud was not a good idea after all.

Former racer and the CEO of the Spa-Francorchamps F1 circuit, Nathalie Maillet was found dead along with the bodies of her husband and another woman at her residence in Gouvy, Belgium.
According to multiple media reports, the “lifeless” bodies of the two women and a man was discovered with gunshot wounds. "The male would have deliberately used his weapon against the two women, among whom was his wife, resulting in their death before killing himself," the statement said.

The track's chairman, Melchior Wathelet, said: "My thoughts are with Nathalie's family, her parents, relatives and teams. Today we are losing a very great lady, a motorsports lover and enthusiast, a true leader who will be sorely missed. Nathalie had become the face of the circuit, she embodied this passion for racing that we all share."
United Kingdom publication Mirror reported that the F1 Boss’ husband Franz Dubois found her with another lady Ann Lawrence Durviaux in the bedroom of their home and shot them both with his gun before taking his own life in a double-murder-suicide case.
The thoughts of everybody at Aston Martin Cognizant F1 Team are with the grieving family and friends of Nathalie Maillet.

Winning her first Fun Cup in 2006, she rose through the ranks until being appointed as the chief executive of the track in 2016.

Sun protection for your scalp? Sounds insane right? After all, the only scalp products we use are shampoo but what happens when your scalp has no hair on it?
When you have short hair or a bald head (voluntarily or not), your sun or scalp is exposed to the sun in full force. The UV rays are out in force, and the scalp's thin skin burns hot and fast. And you already know that you should wear sun protection, such as a hat or sunscreen, up there. However, in the event of the latter, what is the best sunscreen for bald men? It's difficult enough to decipher a sunscreen label, but a hairless scalp is a unique situation.
1. Use A Face Sunscreen When shopping for sunscreen, you'll notice those that are designed exclusively for the face. Because some sunscreens contain heavy oils or occlusive and comedogenic chemicals that clog pores or cause excessive wear, these distinctions are made.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1341__
These are the ones that make your skin feel grimy and glossy, and leave you with a pimple or two in the days afterward. Look for products that claim to be non-comedogenic (that is, they won't clog pores) and skin-friendly. If you have oily skin, oil-free is the best option.
2. Use SPF Moisturizer On The Daily We're not arguing that an SPF-rich moisturiser is a better sunblocker than a face sunscreen, but combining the hydrating and sun-shielding stages into one can save you time (and money).
© Instagram/Dwayne The Rock Johnson
Because your scalp is prone to the same ageing effects as the rest of your face—especially since it's exposed to the sun—a it's good idea to moisturise and nourish it just like the rest of your face. All of this is to indicate that, since you should be hydrating your scalp anyhow, just use a daily SPF moisturiser above the shoulders.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1186__
If you're going to be out in the sun for a long time (say on a beach in the middle of summer), you should put an extra layer of face sunscreen over top of the dome just to be safe. On a daily basis, though, SPF moisturiser is a workhorse in the battle against skin-aging UV radiation and environmental contaminants.
3. Adhere To The SPF Baseline RulesWhen it comes to scalp care and sunscreen, the SPF basics remain the same: Under direct sun exposure, or after immediate water or sweat exposure, you should apply SPF every two hours. (Some water-resistant alternatives can withstand dampness for up to 80 minutes.)
© iStock
SPF 30 is recommended by the American Academy of Dermatology, the Food and Drug Administration, the Skin Cancer Institute, and pretty much everyone else. This is because it absorbs 97 percent of UVB rays, which cause skin to burn. (It's much better to apply SPF 30 consistently than to wing it with a slightly stronger sunscreen.) Always choose a broad-spectrum SPF that protects against both burn-inducing (and cancer-causing) UVB rays as well as skin-aging UVA rays.
© iStock
And be generous with your application: the industry standard is 1 fl.oz. (a shot glass) each application for the average adult human body. Put a nice quarter-size face SPF in your palms and slather it on your face, scalp, and neck. (Scale accordingly for your dome.) This may seem excessive for a typical weekday work commute; but, because your sun exposure is brief, you should be alright with a little application of SPF moisturiser on those days.
4. Mineral or Chemical: Your ChoiceThe majority of chemical solutions avoid oxybenzone, a notably hazardous chemical component that alters the body's hormones. The FDA has given the go-ahead for the others, though the argument over their safety (to humans and coral reefs alike) continues. When it comes to SPF, these chemical solutions penetrate the skin and absorb UV radiation. Any UV powers are neutralised by the compounds before they may cause any harm.
__ECOMPRODUCT__1999__
Mineral (or physical/natural) sunscreens filter or reflect UV radiation at the skin's surface with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. Certain mineral sunscreen compositions will leave a white, chalky, minerally cast on the skin since these chemicals do not absorb into the skin. The darker your skin, the more noticeable this is, but this isn't true for every mineral mixture.
To Wrap UpWhen spending time in the sun, use a broad-spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen that you like liberally every two hours (or after exposure to water). Even if you aren't going to be out in the sun for long periods of time, you should apply an SPF daily, such as an SPF moisturiser. This will greatly slow your skin's natural ageing processes, as well as reduce your risk of skin cancer and long-term harm.

Daler Mehndi recently revealed the reason behind not singing many Bollywood songs. He said in a recent interview that he charges Rs 6 lakh per song with GST.
He said, “I’ll tell you the process of making a song today. A dummy singer first records it in Mumbai. Then it is recorded with several struggling or new singers, and then whichever voice they want, they retain the song in that singer’s voice. With me, first, you pay ₹6 lakhs and GST, then I record the song. Hence, they aren’t able to remove my song from the film because they know it is them who approached me. That’s the reason why I have fewer songs, firstly because I’m too costly to afford, secondly I’m very choosy about the songs and thirdly, I don’t want to do dirty work in the market.”
View this post on Instagram
He further elaborated, “I tell them I won’t do it for free. Reality shows have a budget of crores. When they are making money, even I should get it. And I will do honest judging, and say honest things. But, I want my fees.”
Daler Mehndi has given many hits such as Bolo Ta Ra Ra, Tunak Tunak Tun, Dardi Rab Rab, Ho Jayegi Balle Balle, and Na Na Na Na Na Re in his long career.
Not only this, he sang for Bollywood movies like Rang De Basanti and Dangal.
View this post on Instagram
Talking about his plans, he said, “I had always thought that I’d explore new areas after establishing myself in the industry, and that’s what I’m doing. I also plan to recreate some ghazals from my compositions which I used to sing in the 1980s.”
How fair is this in your opinion? Let us know in the comments section below!

If you're wondering how to give yourself a buzz cut, first and foremost, realise that there aren't many DIY haircuts we recommend. Sure, the pandemic era drove some of us to extremes (hacked kitchen haircuts or no haircuts at all), but it also made a lot of guys comfortable with the idea of a DIY at-home buzzcut.
And many of you have become rather adept at it. Whether or not there is a pandemic, making the refreshing decision to simply shear it all off is always an option. The buzz cut is a universally sharp appearance, regardless of your motivation, whether you're accepting hair loss or simply appreciate how short hair looks on you. It also takes little to no styling and is simple to keep up with.

But, before you grab your beard trimmer and go to town, make sure you know how to give yourself a buzz cut properly:
1. Invest In An Excellent Pair Of Hair ClippersThe hair on your head is considerably more tightly concentrated than even the thickest beards, and a beard trimmer will virtually never be powerful enough to handle it. Rather than beginning and stopping and clogging over and again, get a hair clipper that can simply buzz your head in one consistent stroke.
__ECOMPRODUCT__501__
In terms of navigating all of your head's contours without seeming like a hack job, the guards will be a lot more dependable. In principle, you can trim your beard using a hair clipper, but it may not be dexterous enough to navigate delicate places like your top lip.
If you don't already have one, you'll also need a handheld mirror to work on the sides and back.
2. Wash & Examine Your Scalp __ECOMPRODUCT__2330__
It's crucial to have freshly cleaned hair before getting a haircut, just as when you go to the barber. This guarantees that the hairs are resting in their natural state, rather than the direction in which they were groomed or slept on. It's also more difficult to cut through product-clogged hair. So, give everything a good shampoo—and save the conditioner until after you've rinsed out all the cuttings.
3. First-Timers Listen Up! © Instagram/Zayn Malik
If this is your first rodeo, play it safe: You can always trim more, but you can’t add anything back. So if you think you want a quarter-inch buzz, a #3 guard, then start with a half-inch #5 and see how it looks. Then, work your way down if you still want it shorter. Slow and steady on that first time out the gate.
4. On The Sides, Go Against The GrainAccording to McMillen, you should buzz against the grain of the hair growth, pulling the hair upward as you cut it. By buzzing with the grain, you may be able to keep some of the longer hairs from being chopped.
© iStock
It's easiest to begin buzzing at the sideburns and work your way up against the grain. Work your way up through the crown once you've reached the back of the head. This is an excellent moment to take a break and clean out your clipper to ensure that it continues to cut smoothly.
5. After That, Go Over The Top © Instagram/Avan Jogia
After you've finished the sides, you'll go on to the top of the head. However, because the grain of your hair becomes swirly and more difficult to track up there, here is where it can become a bit problematic. That gives you permission to have some fun and mow to your heart's content. After that first pass, run the clipper back and forth once more. Do it again, this time from side to side. As needed, repeat the process.
6. Do A Spot CheckStart with a smaller guard and repeat the process if you want it shorter. To make sure you don't miss any locations, you'll need to make a dozen or so rounds around the dome. If you're happy with the length, conduct a thorough spot-check around the entire skull for any stray hairs that stand out. As needed, buzz or cut them with a pair of scissors.
7. Clean Your Clippers As Well As Yourself__ECOMPRODUCT__2387__
Most clippers come with a small brush to sweep away any hair clippings (if yours doesn't, use a spare toothbrush). They should've also included some oil to keep the metal pieces gliding pleasantly together. As soon as you're done buzzing, give the blade a good brushing and a light coat of oil, as directed because rinsing the blade underwater is a certain way to rust your expensive buzzers.
Then go in the shower to wash it all away. Do another spot check and nip any remaining hairs that stand up and out after letting your new cut dry (which will happen quickly).
To Wrap UpDeciding to cut your own hair is a big step so before you do any research the first thing you do is be 100% sure because while it may grow back, it will take its own sweet time. The added benefit of the pandemic is that even if you cut your hair too short, no one is around to see it, so if you are tired of your look and want to buzz it off then learn all the steps and go for it!

Ever since Raj Kundra’s arrest in the adult film case, Shilpa Shetty has maintained her distance from the screen and avoided any public appearances. People were quick to notice the awkwardness on her face and while some mocked her and blamed her husband for destroying her career, others were quite supportive and applauded her for being so strong.

A user commented, “Thank god media is not asking any questions.”
Another user wrote, "It must have taken her so much courage !! More power to her!!"
However, the trolls, doing what they do best, wrote, “Why is she not laughing today?”

She was welcomed warmly by the Super Dancer team, which made her quite emotional in the morning,” an insider told a leading daily.

We think it’s commendable that she returned to work with her head held high. She didn’t do anything wrong and doesn’t deserve hate and trolling. What do you think?

As children, we have had a very simplistic view about our superheroes and villains. Superheroes would always be righteous, the ones who were good. Villains on the other hand were always bad, people who had pure evil in their hearts.
© Marvel Studios
After we grew up, we realised that such things aren’t always black and white, that there are no clear cut boundaries. We realised that some of our favourite heroes were not always heroic, and that some of our villains were not exactly villains.
© Warner Bros
Here we take a look at a few of such villains who weren’t just pure evil, but were merely misunderstood, and victims to certain unfortunate misadventures. We take a look at villains, who probably would have turned out to be completely different and “good” had they received some mental health support, in a timely manner.
© Warner Bros
Now, we won’t include characters like Snape, from Harry Potter, even though he is one of the most misunderstood characters in pop culture. The reason for that is how Snape’s story ended, that he had to portray himself as a baddie, and the fact that he was perhaps the greatest hero in the Potter Universe.
© Warner Bros
We also will not include characters such as Arthur Fleck’s Joker, because they are a bit obvious, and mainly because Fleck wasn’t exactly a villain, but an antagonist.
© Warner Bros
1. Thanos © Marvel Studios
Oh, the way people rejoiced when Thanos dissipated into thin air at the end of Avengers: Endgame. However, we believe that he is a character that we ought to be feeling sorry for. Here was a man, trying to revive a dead planet, his home, who had to sacrifice the one other person he truly loved, his daughter. Surely, had Thanos received some form of counselling, he would have turned out to be different.
2. Bane © Warner Bros
Christopher Nolan’s Bane, again, was presented majorly as an out and out villain, who just wanted to wipe off a corrupt city. However, we do need to keep in mind the fact that Bane was in immense pain, constantly. We also have to acknowledge the fact that Bane had to deal with major abandonment issues. He was first abandoned by his own parents, then by the League Of Shadows, an organisation or a family that he gave everything to. Ra’s Al Ghul was certainly like a father figure to him, who eventually abandoned him. You’ve got to feel sorry for such a guy.
3. Loki © Marvel Studios
Even if we disregard the Loki series, we have to feel sorry for Loki. Here was a boy, who was adopted, and was always in the shadows of his elder brother. To make matters worse, he was constantly reminded of the fact that he was adopted and did not really belong with the people that he was living with. On top of that, imagine having a childhood, where you know you are one of the wisest and most clever people around, but still are treated like a doormat. Anyone would have gone bonkers crazy like him.
4. Draco Malfoy © Warner Bros
One of the most pitiful figures that we get from the Potter Universe is Draco Malfoy. Yes, he was problematic at times, but most of the vices that he had were because of his family values. On top of that, he had the pressure of living upto the Slytherin name, the legacy of the Malfoy family, and of course, the fact that his parents were death eaters. As if all of this isn’t enough to drive him off a cliff already, he then gets selected by the most powerful evil wizard of all time, Voldermot, to kill off not just his professor, but also, another equally powerful wizard.
5. Joker © Warner Bros
There is a very popular fan theory about the origin of Christopher Nolan’s Joker. According to the theory, the Joker started out as a vigilante who had a bad run with some goons. The Joker believed that certain criminals had to be killed off, because the justice system was just not competent. He believed that Batman had to start killing, so that he can truly save Gotham. Also, the Joker had a really abusive father and an abusive wife. If all this is indeed true, you come to appreciate the Joker even more.
6. Eric Killmonger © Marvel Studios
Eric Killmonger in Black Panther is another character that was very misunderstood. He lost his father at a young age, he lost his mother to the prison system in the United States, and was abandoned by his community. And to make things worse, he grew up as an orphaned black man in the US. All he ever wanted was a sense of belonging and to empower people of African descent all over the world. Basically, he wanted to fight racism, the way the actual Black Panthers, the political group in the 1960s, fought racism.
7. Ra’s Al Ghul © Warner Bros
As a character, Ra’s Al ghul is as grey as they come. He lost his wife, almost lost his daughter, and had the pressure to literally save humanity and civilisation at all cost. Not just that he lost one of his dearest friends in Bruce Wayne, and had to excommunicate his best student, Bane. Seriously, all of this is a lot to handle. Moreover, Ra’s Al Ghul rightly believed that Gotham was irredeemable - no matter how hard one tried, Gotham would always be at the centre of greed, crime and corruption, and pollute everything around it.
8. Magneto © Sony Pictures
Finally, we have the most misunderstood character of all time, Magneto. Sure he did some pretty horrible things to humans. However, we have to appreciate the fact that he has always been very careful while fighting mutants, even if they were trying to kill him. There must have been countless occasions when Magneto could have just crumpled up Wolverine like a paper ball, And yet, he never harmed him mortally. Furthermore, when we learn about Magneto’s backstory as Erik Lensherr, and the trauma that he had to face as a Jew in Nazi Germany and the concentration camps in Poland. Such was his trauma that even Charles Xavier couldn’t help him. Also, the fact that he was right at the end, that humans would eventually hunt down mutants, just goes on to show that Erik was wildly misunderstood by everyone.

Bollywood, for all its fame and money, is a slippery slope from start to the finish. Even if you've been a part of the industry for a long spell of time, it doesn't really guarantee that you'll be getting films on the basis of that. This is the reason why so many actors come to the industry and slowly fade off or retire early, unlike a few who have cemented their place as Bollywood A-listers.
Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor is one of those actresses, who despite making a good debut with 2013's Shuddh Desi Romance, is still finding her feet in the industry.
© Instagram/Vaani Kapoor
The 32-year-old actress recently spoke about having a "sense of relief" on the release of her film BellBottom, which is her first film in the last two years.
© Pooja Entertainment
The film, which stars superstar Akshay Kumar, is the story of an undercover agent code-named Bellbottom who begins a covert mission to free 210 hostages held by hijackers.
In the trailer of the film, Vaani sort of makes a blink-and-miss appearance, and when asked why that's the case, she defends the trailer's tactic. “The makers have kept it a certain way. See, the film is being led by Akshay Kumar’s character. The story is about a plane that gets hijacked. It’s based on these two events that happened in the late 70s and early 80s during Indira Gandhi’s time as the Prime Minister of India," she said.
"Keeping it very crisp, my part is of this girl who is married to Akshay’s character. She is sweet, refreshing, very lovely. She is also the backbone of his life. As a personality, she is someone who is very level-headed and centered. There is a lot to explore in her character, which one can talk about after the film releases. Having said that, yes, it’s not the most difficult part for me to play. It was well defined on paper for me to understand what she is or who she is. And it didn’t take a lot of research for me to crack her,” she added.
Vaani for all her acting talent and good looks has only been able to do two films in the last five years, with Hrithik Roshan-starred War in 2019 being her last film, after Befikre in 2016. According to her, it's the case because of the intense competition in the industry and also because of bigger parts going to more renowned actresses.
Speaking about the situation, she said, “It’s very hard to break into the industry with the right people, the right film, and the right production. And on top of that, to get a perfect and well-written part for a female actor, it’s not easy. Yes, there is an emergence of women-driven parts but it’s not that easy. The best ones do go to the bigger, credible actors who’ve already achieved a certain amount of stardom. So, it doesn’t come that easy,"

"Having said that, one’s aim is to reach that (stardom/popularity), which is helped by working with actors like Akshay Kumar who has a massive audience. His loyal fans and his loyal audience come to watch his films. He has a very big reach, and no one can deny that. So, I think sometimes what happens is you do a certain film for several reasons including the reach. Tomorrow, maybe someone would want to take that chance on a person but they would usually end up going to a person who’s relatively credible, visible, and of course, has done a decent job in his/her previous film,” she said.

10-year-old Chhattisgarh boy, Sahdev Dirdo, rose to fame overnight after a video of him singing the Bachpan ka Pyaar song went viral. He has been in the limelight for the past few days and his song has become one of the most popular Instagram reels wherein even celebs have participated in making videos on the song. His popularity made Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel felicitate him and even those pictures went viral.
Sahdev Dirdo was recently also featured in the official video of Bachpan Ka Pyaar with rapper Badshah and Aastha Gill. Soon after the song was released, people started bashing him for being a bad singer and even went on to question how he became so popular despite his voice.
Singer-music composer Vishal Dadlani has come to Sahdev’s rescue and has blasted those people who have been speaking ill about the boy.
In a video shared by Vishal on Instagram, he said, “Over the last few days I have seen a lot [of] video that ‘this kid should have been more famous, how well he sings. Why is that Bachpan Ka Pyar boy getting so much fame?’ What I want to say is that both of them are kids. Is it necessary to compare them? One might sing very well, other less so. But one’s song got really popular. Does that mean we have to put one guy down to pull the other one up?”

He continued, “It’s a f*ked up mentality. It really is. Can’t they both be good? In their own ways. One entertained us a lot, the other is very talented. Can’t it be so? The f*k kind of world are you people living in? It’s just a kid. Usko neecha dikhake aap log kya karre ho? What are you achieving? Don’t do that man. It’s not nice.”
We completely agree with Vishal’s thoughts on this. What do you think of his take on the situation? Let us know in the comments below.

Team India’s aggression was on full display during the second Test at Lord’s, with each and every player executing their role to perfection. Their aggressive approach is why the visitors were able to bowl England out inside two sessions on the final day and win the Test match.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli might have failed with the bat but he showed great leadership qualities throughout the game. Kohli’s passion for Test cricket is well-known around the world and he is someone who never shies away from engaging in a word or two on the field and the same happened in London.

The hosts were in a commanding position going into the final day but they let their emotions get the better of themselves, which allowed Indian batters to push them on the backfoot.
Losing from a position of strength is hard to digest and that is why England can’t fathom how they lost the match despite being in the driver’s seat. After losing the match, England captain Joe Root admitted his mistakes and said that, if given an opportunity, he would do things differently.
© Reuters
“We went from a very strong position where we looked like we would win the game to losing. More than anything, just got a few things wrong. That partnership, they did pretty well. But lots of things I'd do differently if given an opportunity,” Root said at the post-match presentation.
England legend Georffrey Boycott has blamed Root’s ‘stupid’ tactics for the embarrsing loss but some of their former crickters like Nick Compton have turned a blind eye to that.
© BCCI Twitter
Former England batsman Compton is like that parent who is never ready to accept that their child has made a mistake and always holds others responsible.
Instead of questioning the tactics of his own team, Compton decided to target the Indian skipper and called him “the most foul mouthed individual”. Recalling an old incident from 2012 when he toured India, Compton said he received a barrage of abuses from Kohli which he would never forget.
© Twitter Nick Compton
“Isn’t Kohli the most foul mouthed individual. I’ll Never forget the barrage of abuse I received in 2012 when the swearing stunned me to the point that he did himself a serious disservice. It highlights what a level headed and grounded man Root, Tendulkar, Williamson et al are," Compton wrote on the micro-blogging site.
Watching the players not ready to give an inch made for a great spectacle for fans around the world, especially in India. Compton was massively trolled for digging up old graves not just by Indian fans but also English supporters..
Here’s how they reacted:

— Umakant (@Umakant_27) August 18, 2021@thecompdog was it that bad? In fairness it gave the test and the series a nice little edge. Who doesn’t enjoy watching a grudge match! Hopefully we batter them in the next test!

— Suraj (@Cricket70142806) August 18, 2021Throughout the Lord’s Test, players from both sides fought with intensity, they were in the face of their opponents all the time which led to quite a few heated exchanges.

‘What happens on the field, stays on the field’ this principle is followed by almost all the professional athletes across the globe but Compton is clearly an exception because he likes to hold grudges from events that happened on the field. Knowing our team we are damn sure that nothing’s gonna change in the upcoming matches and if you are going to hold grudges all we can say is Be Our Guest!
