If you ever wanted your digital assistant to sound like Amitabh Bachchan, you don’t have to wait any longer. The 78-year-old actor’s voice is now available to use on Alexa, however it comes at a cost. Bachchan’s voice costs Rs 149 (MRP Rs 299) to unlock for one year. The feature has now started to roll out for Alexa users in India and can be accessed by saying, “Alexa, introduce me to Amitabh Bachchan.”

Once you said the wake phrase, “Alexa, introduce me to Amitabh Bachchan,” you will then be prompted to purchase the voice pack. You can even purchase the voice pack from Amazon’s official marketplace website as well. 

Once the voice pack has been unlocked, you can start interacting with Alexa by using the wake word  “Amit ji" or “Alexa, enable Amit ji wake word.” Amitabh Bachchan’s voice will work alongside the default voice and each time you want to hear the actor’s voice, you will be required to use the wake word. 

Bachchan’s voice can be used for listening to short stories, poems by his father, tongue twisters and motivational quotes. Alexa will also use his deep baritone for weather updates, music, alarms and other tasks.
