βNever ever, ever underestimate the Indians,β Aussie head coach Justin Langer had said after India registered its second-consecutive Test series Down Under, earlier this year. What happened in that series wasnβt an anomaly, it was a testimony to the grit and determination of βNew Indiaβ that wasnβt afraid of looking their opposition in the eye and giving them a taste of their own medicine.
Not paying heed to Langerβs comments was perhaps the biggest mistake that Joe Rootβs side made in the just-concluded second Test at Lordβs and they paid a huge price for that. England players thought that by saying a few words and showing aggression on the field they would easily get on the nerves of Indian players and force them into making mistakes. But they were wrong.

What they didnβt realise was that this Indian team wasnβt afraid of such banters. In fact, what transpired on the field was completely different to what English players thought it would result in. Those confrontations in the middle motivated the whole Indian team to go after England players as a unit and the result was there for everyone to see, the hosts crumbled and were bowled out inside two sessions on the final day.
As a batsman, Virat KohliΒ might not be in the same position he was three years ago but has surely become a much better captain, who knows how to bring the best out of his teammates and motivate them on the field.

Kohliβs enthusiasm on the field is second to none in world cricket and the way he marshalled his troops on the fifth day was simply outstanding. His bowling changes were spot on, field placements were brilliant but what stood out the most were the words that he said to his boys before taking the field.

A video of Kohliβs brief speech to his teammates just before Englandβs second innings has gone viral on social media.
βIf I see anyone laughing in front of their players, see what happens. Got it? For Sixty overs they should feel like hell out there,β Kohli was heard saying in the video.

Fielding unit forming a huddle before the start of an innings is a common sight but this huddle was special. Kohliβs words certainly did the magic as India bundled England out for 120 runs in 52 overs to register a massive 151-run win and take 1-0 lead in the series.
After the match, Kohli said the way England players targeted his players in the second innings charged them up and they were ready to go hard on them.
βWe had the belief we can get them out in 60 overs. The tension in the field in our second innings, what happened there, helped us,β Kohli said at the post-match presentation.

KL Rahul, who was adjudged Man of the Match for his brilliant century in the first innings, also said that the Indian players werenβt afraid of bantersΒ and they were ready to teach England a lesson in their own language as a unit.Β
"That's what you expect with two competitive teams - great skills, and a few words as well. We don't mind some banter. You go after one of our guys and all 11 of us will come right back," Rahul said, after receiving his MoM award.
Hope England have learnt their lesson just like Australia did and think twice before going after any Indian cricketer. If not, they know what the consequences will be if they follow the same tactics again.

Apple Watch has been attributed for saving countless lives, primarily because of its health features. This time, an Apple Watch helped save a woman who was handcuffed to a bed, naked, by a home invader. The woman was able to contact her mother while the thief was going through her belongings.Β

According to local reports, the New Jersey woman came home to find a man in her room. The thief demanded money from the woman and then handcuffed her to a bed. Unbeknownst to the thief, the woman was able to use her Apple Watch and text her mother while she was handcuffed. Police then arrived just as the man was about to leave.Β
βAfter being held captive for more than an hour, the victim complained she was cold sitting on the floor, according to her statements to police. This led Canning to handcuff her to a bed, leaving one of her hands-free, the affidavit states, and allowed the daughter to text her mother using her watch and told her to call the police.β
Whatβs more shocking is that the womanβs mother was upstairs and unaware of what was going on.
βThe mother came downstairs to check on her daughter, unsure whether the message was serious. She was met by Canning who pointed the airsoft gun, which she and her daughter believed to be a lethal firearm, at her and again demanded money, records claim.β
According to Andrew Canningβs court affidavit, the woman was threatened with a replica firearm and was asked to remove her clothes. She was asked to remove her clothes by Canning to ensure she wasnβt carrying a weapon. He then handcuffed her and left her naked on the floor, the victim told the police.Β

With one hand free, the victim was able to either text her mom or initiate the smartwatchβs Emergency SOS feature. The Apple Watch, when connected to an iPhone or using the onboard cellular feature, can activate the Emergency SOS feature by pressing and holding the side button. After a countdown, the watch automatically sends a text message to your emergency contact and calls emergency services as well.Β
The Apple Watch has saved plenty of livesΒ in the past using other health features, however, this may just be the first instance where the Apple Watch's Emergency SOS feature saved someone when the victim was handcuffed.Β

Richa ChadhaΒ has time and again proven that talent will take you far, not just the connections you have in the industry. She has given us many powerful performances in the past and is known for her outspoken nature. She is somebody who believes in sharing her honest opinions without fearing about the consequences or the trolling that comes her way on her tweets or Instagram stories.
View this post on Instagram
This time around, RichaΒ has exposed the dark side of Bollywood and we couldnβt agree more. She even called out the hypocrisy of some people's take on nepotism and penned a note on her Instagram story. She also took a potshot at people who misguide the actors who are starting their careers in the industry filled with hypocrisy.
In her note, she said, β'Bollywoodβ, an imaginary address between Bandra and Goregaon. Here when people need you to do something thatβs detrimental to you/your health/your career, theyβll tell you how good it is for you and be confident that youβll believe them. I used to believe them when I was naive.β

She went on to add, βSome press peeps will write long pieces about how nepotism ruins the industry while creepily following every pre-pubescent with a famous last name, and dissing any self-made professional in their mediocre writing, on the pretext of βfreedom of expressionβ.β
She concluded, βMust reform faster, if it has to survive the onslaught of OTT, VR and everything in the future. Plz, smell the coffee.β

We completely agree with her opinions here as Bollywood often doesn't recognise talented newcomers whereas big names are always put up on a pedestal. Here's hoping more insiders speak the truth about the hypocrisy of Bollywood.

Not a lot of people expected the Indian cricket team to win the second Test against England at the iconic Lordβs cricket ground, especially after the rocky ending they had on Day 4 and how quickly the middle order collapsed in the first session of the final day.
However, a miraculously 89-run partnership for the ninth wicket between Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah rallied them to a 298-run total in the second innings. The carnage brought about by Mohammed Siraj was nothing short of embarrassing for the hosting side.
View this post on Instagram
Team England, which looked like the team to win it all on the final day (or at the very least, end the match on a draw) failed to cross the 150-run mark and got bundled up for just 120 runs with skipper Joe Rootβs score of 33 becoming the highest for the squad.
After Sirajβs full length delivery escaped James Andersonβs block to connect with the stumps, confirming the win and a 1-0 lead for the Men in Blue, it was former skipper Sunil Gavaskar, who came up with the most savage line to describe the collapse the Englishmen faced in London.
View this post on Instagram
βTheir (Englandβs) technique is awful. The technique of their opening batsmen is ludicrous. Their No.3 batsman Haseeb Hameed is nervous, tentative. So, we look up to Joe Root. Jonny Bairstow, yes if he gets going or otherwise itβs nothing. Buttler, he is a fine white-ball player. Iβm not too sure he is there for red-ball cricket,β Gavaskar said on Sony Sports Network on Monday.
βIn bowling, there was just Jimmy Anderson and there was nobody else. Robinson got five wickets in Trent Bridge but itβs really a βtwo and a half menβ kind of a team,β he added.
View this post on Instagram
βThatβs why I think India will win the remaining three matches of the series. I had said at the beginning of the series that India should win it 4-0 or 3-1 and I still believe that result is possible if rain doesnβt spoilsport," he declared at the end.
India will hope to take a 2-0 lead while Joe Root and Co. will look to tie the score at 1-1 as the series progresses to the Headingley Carnegie cricket ground in Leeds, which is scheduled to begin from August 25, 2021.

Vaani Kapoor made her debut in Bollywood with the filmΒ Shuddh Desi Romance in 2013. She has also starred in a Tamil film and other popular Bollywood films like Befikre and War.Β
Now, she will be seen alongside Akshay Kumar in the film Bell Bottom, the trailer of which has already impressed one and all.Β
Recently, in an interview with Times Now, Vaani expressed how she is struggling to make her career in the world of Bollywood. She also went on to talk about how the huge time gap between her films impacts her.Β
View this post on Instagram
When asked about whether Vaani faced a financial crunch in her early days, she said, "For sure. I have been supporting myself, I haven't taken a penny from my parents from the age of 18-19 and I have been supporting myself, I was modeling, making my own money. This was also very new territory for me, I was very clueless, I was very under-confident, I didn't know what I am doing, I didn't know how to go about it. But there is a certain vision one has for themselves, I had that vision and I stuck by my beliefs."
She further elaborated, "So, I never really tried to short sell myself, that's one thing I was very certain about from day one. There has been a financial crunch and all, I am not very privileged where I come from an extremely affluent family. My family has gone through ups and downs as well, and I am proud that I have been able to make things work for myself, single-handedly.β

"Sometimes you have to be a part of films which are good and big and have a great reach to a bigger segment of audiences who are willing to come. I always knew when I signed the film that it is a Hrithik (Roshan) and a Tiger (Shroff) film, but I had a substantial part in it, which was very integral to the storyline of the film,β she added.Β Β

Vaani also said, "Now, I could be in a film for two hours and not do a good job or I could be even for 10 minutes or 15 minutes but register with people by doing a good job. Of course, I would want someday films to be held where I could probably lead the film or be equally important or have a bigger screen space... there are endless combinations that one would want. But at this point in my career, the kind of opportunities that come my way, I try to pick the best."

Ever since India lost the World Test Championship final to New Zealand in England, a sudden and noticeable change can be seen in the way in which some of the calmer team members have been sending out messages that are a bit⦠uncharacteristic of them.
That stare from #Siraj
What a match!!! #INDvENG pic.twitter.com/JHBI8eeeeC
β ThatFanBoy (@SiddhuYour) August 16, 2021
Be it Jasprit Bumrah fired up against Jos ButtlerΒ on the final day of the second Test, or Mohammed Siraj giving the death stareΒ to all the batsmen he removed from the pitch, it seems as if Virat Kohliβs aggression is finally bleeding into his team.
Joining this trend after the incredible victory at the iconic Lordβs cricket ground is the teamβs red-ball vice captain, Ajinkya RahaneΒ who shared a picture of him smiling from ear to ear while posing in a flashy jacket on Instagram and with a caption that caught peopleβs attention.
View this post on Instagram
βMy reaction when the trolls get trolled,β he wrote in the caption, sharing a piece of his mind for those who doubted his capabilities as a player of the longest format of the game and were talking about getting him out of the team after a series of slumpy performances he had put out for the squad ahead of the London match.
Up until the first innings of the match, Rahaneβs form looked dicey as he was unable to put runs on the board and ended up losing his wicket to England veteran James Anderson on the 23rd delivery after scoring a solitary run.
View this post on Instagram
However, it was the second innings in which Rahane forced the critics to eat their words when he anchored the batting order with his steady and masterful batting alongside Cheteshwar Pujara after the top order of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were dismissed for a total of 55 runs.
Pujara and Rahane stitched a 100-run partnership during which the former scored 45 runs while eating up 205 deliveries while Rahane struck 61 runs in 146 ball to not only help India reach a respectable total but also spend the crucial moments of the penultimate day which could have made the victory easier for the hosts had he gotten out sooner.
Hereβs how the fans reacted to Rahaneβs rare reaction:
This are some shit fans who trolled him.. respect every cricketer form is just temporary
