    Saif Ali Khan celebrated his 51st birthday on August 16. He is not only known for his stellar acting skills, but he is also a man of luxury. He has some of the rarest drops in the world, and one of them includes a vintage Ford Mustang GT500. Apart from that, the Pataudi Palace is another inevitable royal abode, sprawled across 10 acres, which is also one of the expensive possessions.

    Recently though, Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan moved to their new apartment after the birth of their second child, Jeh. This contemporary abode is a few buildings away from their old residence. The house has a mind-blowing view with a plush garden. Their new home often makes its way on Kareena's Instagram profile. The couple previously lived in one of Bandra's posh localities. However, their house in Fortune Heights recently went on the market and was rented out for a whopping cost.

    The said agreement was signed on August 13th 2021.  

    Currently, the couple is in the Maldives with their kids, Taimur and Jeh, for a vacation.

    Let’s be honest, we have all found ourselves staring out of the windows in the rain, feeling gloomy while listening to a sappy song or 5 by Ed Sheeran on a fine evening whether or not we were really heartbroken. Or have felt a certain current go down our bodies on the dance floor every time our favorite song blares on the speaker. Just like how we all may have a few songs in our playlist that have helped us get right into the mood on a date night escalating into something more.

    A lot of research proves that music has a direct impact on the way we feel and process emotions. In fact, it is said to invoke powerful feelings of chills, thrills and more in a person. Which is why, every time we hear a particular song, the level of testosterone in the body would shoot right up.

    And thinking of the kind of music our desi 90s kids grew up listening to, there is no way at least one of these songs didn’t make you want to instantly call up your crush for a sexy soiree. 
    1) Tera Nasha 
    “From your lips, to your hips, to your fingertips…” the lyrics of this song hit all of us right in the feels as it gained the reputation of one of the sexiest songs in its time. Bilz & Kashif really did capture the feelings of a young heart in love, just right!
    2) Ride It
    This song by Jay Sean was everything a person would need to suddenly feel sexy and confident all at the same time. Not to mention it delivered an on-point message but in a way that really did make one go for that ride, if you know what I mean.
    3) Yeh Mera Diwanapan Hai
    There have been a lot of renditions of this particular song over the years, but no one can beat Susheela Raman's version. Her voice is enough to still get chills on your body as the woman sings you into a feeling of ecstasy. 
    4) Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai
    A song from the movie Jism where Shreya’s Ghoshal’s melodious voice sent us into a trance. And with Bipasha on the screen alongside John Abraham, all it took to set the vibe of the room was one look at the screen to draw inspiration from the scintillating duo and the lyrics.
    5) Kaho Na Kaho
    Yet another sensual track from back in the day, this song from the movie Murder is till date a famous way to pass along a not-so-subtle message to get freaky in the sheets and how! Guess we have Malika Sherawat and Emraan Hashmi to thank here.
    6) Zara Zara
    This one was a popular choice, mostly among girls, where the mere music of this song would be enough to get the horses running. Dia Mirza and Madhavan’s chemistry was unparalleled as was the feel of the song.
    7) Chupke Se
    Last on the list, this track from the movie Saathiya is an evergreen one. The song felt more like a whisper in the ear for everything one needed to do to get their partner hot and bothered.

    If you’ve ever stepped inside a desi gym in India, you’re bound to have faced a barrage of lean and mean celebrity posters staring at you in disapproval. Your usual suspects include Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and Kartik Aaryan, their faces gawking at you from these posters intended to motivate.
    Add to that you’ve got your desi trainers pointing out a billion different things ‘wrong’ with your body - your chest is too small, your butt is too large, your legs are too scrawny and your abs need to exist. This enumerated list of shortcomings makes them feel empowered by this strange version of an outdated dating fad called ‘negging’. Leaving us demotivated by the whole experience.

    Many men get intimidated by these in person interactions at the gym, and rightfully so. One of the biggest problems plaguing our fitness industry is the flurry of ‘Bro science’ peddlers prevalent at every gym. Some claim that women shouldn’t lift heavy weights as it would make them unnecessarily muscular (?!!), while others try to persuade you into hopping onto the latest anabolic steroid that they’re injecting themselves with (no thank you) for ‘gains’. Honestly, it can all get seriously demotivating when the only thing we’re trying to do is work on our fitness without worrying about these false alarms.

    Bollywood holds a strange sway over the trends of this country’s masses. Stars from this industry can make or break trends with a flick of their wrist, an utterance from their mouths. So they definitely need to be careful about what they claim to be ‘facts’, especially since they might just be the latest anti-fad in fact. Just like consuming fats used to be demonised at some point in the fitness game, whey protein seems to be the latest bogeyman.

    In 2019, everyone’s favourite, Ayushmann Khurrana had been featured on an episode of the Ranveer Show on the popular fitness channel Beerbiceps. Over there, he discussed everything from his films, to his inspirations, style and his overall journey so far. Mostly meaningful discussions, to a certain extent. However, it was when he started discussing his fitness experience that he ended up committing the digital faux pas.  
    With a cocky confidence and self assurance that only Bollywood actors possess, the Vicky Donor star goes on to claim, “Protein shakes are really bad. It takes 3 years to digest one scoop of protein shake by the way.” 
    So, all this while we’d thought Ayushmann would be one of the smarter, more informed actors among the current lot of Bollywood stars. Especially, considering the kind of films he chooses are all on the lines of meaningful cinema - Bala, Badhai Ho and Article 15. He seemed like someone who did his research and thought before he talked. Unlike a certain Mr. Khiladi who made  a similar claim lambasting ‘whey protein’. 

    A while back, Akshay Kumar had made public his staunch stance against consuming the supplement. However, the hypocrisy had to be called out when the fit celeb became the brand ambassador for Horlicks Protein. A markedly poorer product in terms of quality as compared to the whey protein brands available. 

    About that outrageous three year claim by Ayushmann, here’s what actual research has to say.  
    A 1997 study in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, examined the absorption of two different protein types, i.e. whey & casein, consumed in one meal. The study showed that approximately 30g of whey protein digestion in the body takes place in 3-4hrs and 30g of casein takes around 7hrs to get digested.  
    That’s approximately 26276 hours less than what Ayushmann claims it takes his body to digest a scoop of whey. If the number he came up with was based on his own body as reference, then he best rush to the nearest gastroenterologist or endocrinologist as his body is clearly not doing a good enough job.

    I truly believe that all individuals are entitled to their own private beliefs, even if it's harmful. No judgment about your personal lives. However, when it comes to celebrities, especially someone like Ayushmann Khurrana , they need to be held to a higher standard just by virtue of them being public figures, and the sheer influence they hold over the minds of the masses. Once they’ve reached that position in life, they need to be careful about misinformation that they could have fallen prey to, trying to correct those misconceptions instead of peddling it on a widely viewed YT channel. Once made public, these beliefs are bound to be questioned and criticized especially if they are poorly informed.
    As the junta who happen to be their fans, we need to realize that they’re film stars, not subject matter experts in fields other than theirs. And we need to stop enabling them as role models in all aspects of our lives. Just because they played a doctor in a movie, doesn’t actually make them one, no matter how much research they put in for their role. 
    Such blind faith is irresponsible and can cause more harm than good.
    So next time you see a celeb try to tell you what’s good and what’s not as if they know best, just log out. You don’t need that energy in your life.

    Indian Idol 12 has finally wrapped up its current season and it was the longest season of the show to date. 
    The show aired for over ten months and Pawandeep Rajan has won the show leaving behind Arunita Kanjilal, Sayali Kamble, Mohd Danish, Nihal Tauro, and Shanmukhapriya.

    Recently, Pawandeep Rajan recalled how his audition for the reality show went. He revealed how he was very scared of what would happen and had doubts over his selection.
    In a recent interview, Pawandeep Rajan said, "When I first came for the audition, I was very scared of what would happen and if I would be selected. In fact, I had no hopes because Sawai had sung before me and he was brilliant, and since I was there, I sang whatever I could and to my surprise, I was selected. So the journey on the show has been incredible and great. I have found new friends on the show. Indian Idol 12 has become a family to me and I would say we all come from villages with big dreams in our eyes and Indian Idol makes them come true."

    He added, "I am from Uttarakhand and currently the situation is not right there so I would like to do something. I would also like to open a music school for kids there so that the talented kids can get proper guidance."

    Regardless of what haters say, one has to agree that the most improved bowler in the Indian cricket team has to be Mohammed Siraj, who has grown by leaps and bounds to become a vital cog of the machine that the Indian bowling attack is.
    In the second Test between India and England at the iconic Lord’s stadium, Siraj once again proved his worth and gave the Men in Blue fans to start having him in their fantasy league teams if they wish to win big.

    Four wickets in the first innings and four more in the second, the 27-year-old brought the intensity to the floor that his team needed to succeed, especially on the final day when time was running out and all India needed was 10 wickets to get themselves a 1-0 lead in the series. 
    While Siraj’s destructive bowling is a great asset to have, there is one more weapon that Virat Kohli’s Team India possesses and it is absolutely dreaded by their English rivals - Siraj’s stare.

    Every single time the paceman scalped someone’s wicket at Lord’s, he made sure that he would make the batsman feel miserable about themselves. As soon as the umpire would lift the finger, the first thing Siraj would do is rush towards his prey and look him in the eye. 
    What’s different about what Siraj does as compared to some of the other aggressive pacers is that holds his stare for a really (really) long time. Just in case the dismissed batsman gathers enough courage to make eye contact with him once again.

    Dom Sibley, Rory Burns, Jos Buttler, Haseeb Hameed, or even tailender James Anderson, regardless of who got their bails ripped off or got trapped for an LBW, they were going to get the stare, Siraj ensured it.

    Built IRL, a YouTube channel run by an engineer showcased a real-life web shooter similar to what we see Spider-Man use in comic books and movies. The engineer had previously made a working Batman grappling gun and now it seems like he wants to focus on our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man.

    While they don’t work as perfectly as the ones we see in the movies, it is still impressive to see what JT has achieved. Previous iterations of a web-shooter included a backpack air compressor, wrist-worn launchers and high-strength cable. Now, the latest version of the hardware has a far more elegant solution. JT created a metal tube that is powered by compressed propane and a custom igniter. This would launch a long cable that has metal hooks embedded in them. When fired, the metal cable can wrap around an object and secure itself, effectively making it usable to swing as Spider-Man does with his web-slinger.

    Since this version of the web-shooter works with propane and mild explosives, the canister has to be refilled with each use. In order to swing without any interruptions, he built seven launchers in total that he can attach to a belt. He can switch between each launcher when swinging and showed how it works in an indoor trampoline facility. He managed to complete two-and-a-half swings before landing on his feet. While it may not look as cohesive as Spider-Man’s web-shooter, it still is a working device that can be used in real life. 


    While we may be used to watching a CGI Spider-Man swing around New York with precision and impressive stunts, in real life it looks a lot harder. However, Built IRL proves that nothing is impossible as JT has developed something literally out of fiction and made it work with different iterations. Unlike Spider-Man though, he did practice in the indoor trampoline facility for a week to get two-and-a-half swings right. JT explains how the project began, how he got funding for it and uses references from multiple Spider-Man movies to get the movements right.

    Some men would have clean nails but they would either be unacceptably long, or sociopathically short or worse, chipped off raw with their teeth. Major man-child alert! A man’s nails should be trimmed straight (don’t shape them round or pointed while clipping) and should be no longer or shorter than the width of a dime.

    In case you didn’t get the memo, lips are the most seductive and sensual thing about anyone. And, when you are on a date with a woman, you’ll catch her glancing at your lips while you’re talking or smiling. See, those are the lips she’d be kissing (if things go well) and it’s important for her that your lips shouldn’t be chapped, peeling or dry, only smooth and soft. That’s the rule.

    Doesn’t matter if they’re a bit crooked (it’s actually cute), but if they are showing your last night’s dinner or if your mouth is smelling like a fish market, rest assured you are not getting a second date. Oral hygiene is super essential in a guy. The kissing rule applies here as well, just remember that.

    Is it Ross-level gelled up? Is it oily? Is that dandruff? Yeah, women meticulously observe their date’s hair and while some may let a bad hair day go, others wouldn’t. A neatly done hairdo means you actually care about the date and put in effort to look your best, while messy or unkempt hair would make her think you’ve given up on life.

    I’ll let you in on a secret. Your OOTD says a lot about you but so do your accessories. While a classy watch and nice sneakers or shoes are enough to complete your look, wearing too many bracelets or a chunky chain around your neck can totally put her off. Find the perfect balance and don’t let blinding accessories take away her attention from your charm.
