With the first of five Test matches between India and England starting from Wednesday at Trent Bridge, former Indian skipper Sunil Gavaskar has launched another speculation against Virat Kohli’s team and the dangerous position in which batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane may find themselves in, in the days to come.
In an interview with The Times of India, Gavaskar has addressed the possibility of a “whisper campaign” being set into motion after Rahane, who is also the vice-captain of the Indian Test squad. On the other hand, Pujara’s name is being dragged into the who controversy, just to cover up Rahane as the “real target”.
    View this post on Instagram
“It’s unfair on these two players. They have put their bodies and hearts on the line for the Indian cricket team for years and particularly the last six months. In my view, a whispering campaign has been started against Rahane and Pujara,” Gavaskar explains the oddity in which Rahane and Pujara are finding themselves ahead of the England series.

“Tell me who else has scored consistently in the last six-eight months. The real target is Rahane. Pujara’s name has been bandied about just to make sure that this whisper campaign is not thought of as if it is only directed at Rahane,” he further speculates how Pujara may just be used as a pawn, while Rahane faces the real heat.

“I would tell all these people to think Rahane as an asset and not a threat. It’s happening the other way around. You know what I mean by that. He is not a threat for those who have started this campaign,” the India legend hints at the people who may have started the campaign against the deputy in-command.
“He scored a hundred right after India were all out for 36 (in Australia). He gave the momentum at Gabba chase as well. He got a half-century on pitches where the ball was turning in India against England. In WTC final, he was out top scorer. Suddenly, questions are raised on these two. What is the aim behind this is what is needed to be looked at.”

"Need to bring in right people with right mindset."

Virat Kohli hints at overhaul of Test side after India lost the WTC final.

    — The Times Of India (@timesofindia) June 24, 2021After losing the World Test Championship final to New Zealand in a terrible fashion, Virat Kohli had suggested an overhaul in the red-ball squad for Team India. “You have to reassess and replan and understand what dynamics work for the team and how we can be fearless. Bring in right people who have right mindset to perform,” the skipper had said.

“If you fall, get back on your feet, dust yourself up and start again.”

We may have heard this saying a lot of times but never really realised its true meaning until we saw athlete Sifan Hassan demonstrating it for us at the Tokyo Olympics.
    © Reuters
The long-distance runner representing the Netherlands in the 2020 Olympics was running the women's 1,500 meter race when she fell. The runner ahead of her tripped and tumbled, making her fall too. There was one lap still to go.

She got up and resumed the race like nothing happened like a true sportsperson and managed to power through the track and qualify for the semifinals. If this isn’t true sportsmanship, we don’t know what is.

The spectators can’t help but appreciate and applaud her spirit and talent. People on Twitter called it an impressive comeback. This is probably the best recovery in the history of the Olympics.

Here are the best tweets where people salute this incredible win.

What grit, what fitness, what talent. This is athletics at totally different level.

    — prince mic (@princemic5) August 2, 2021Imagine being so good at a track event that you can fall with a lap to go, get up, and still beat a field of elite athletes while looking totally composed crossing the line. Unreal. https://t.co/zqY2XbcJhr
    — Tony Graham (@Greytony123) August 2, 2021One of the most amazing races I've ever seen. She was tripped by another athlete, fell, got up, was way behind everyone, but ran past them all to the front to win. Incredible! #Hassan #Olympics https://t.co/XDITWuZaYI
    — Jennifer K (@Jennifer_inLR) August 2, 2021Everyone saying she fell down like she stumbled. That lady in front of her took her down! And she still recovered. Incredible to be that dominant at anything!
    — LeRamski Lake (@ConneryThe) August 2, 2021Sifan Hassan displays impressive zeal and attitude of never giving up. She didn’t let a misstep stop her from finishing the race. People called it a demonstration of the biggest life lesson, which is, getup and get going every time you fall.

She told Reuters, “I can't believe it. I used all my energy this morning and I was kind of tired. I couldn't believe what happened. It was terrible when I tripped. I felt terrible afterwards and I never thought I am going to be [an] Olympic champion."

She participated in the 5,000 meter race in the semi finals and, wait for it, won a gold medal the same day. She is also the first Dutch woman to win a medal in a long distance race.

    Isn’t this amazing?

Arjun Kapoor has been vocal about his relationship with his father, Boney Kapoor. In fact, with time, his bond with Janhvi Kapoor also became stronger. The two are often seen catching up, and in a recent interview, they also spoke about how their relationship has evolved. Moreover, even Janhvi unveiled how the four siblings, including Arjun, Anshula, and Khushi Kapoor, managed to talk about their past baggage.

For the unversed, Arjun and Anshula are kids from Boney Kapoor's first marriage with Mona Shourie, whereas Janhvi and Khushi are daughters of Sridevi and Boney. Arjun lost his mother right after his first debut movie, Ishaqzaade, in 2012. The actor has been straightforward and was affected due to the untimely demise and the separation as well.
    View this post on Instagram

In an interview, he spoke about his bond with his father in recent times and how it has improved as compared to before. He credited his sisters, Janhvi and Khushi for the same. The four siblings reconnected once again after Sridevi passed away and spent a lot of time together. However, he said it is only because of his other siblings that he has understood his father better.
He said in the interview, "I've not lived with my father as much as I would have liked to. I keep getting told that I am like him, but I don't see it. Through meeting Janhvi and Khushi and breaking that barrier, I have now been able to build a more authentic relationship with him. We have all confronted many of our demons."

He further added, "It has to do with letting go, which is very cathartic...it is strangely therapeutic to just sit around and talk rubbish, and realise that you were holding onto things, unknowingly or knowingly, because you were supposed to. But I love my father more because of both of them. It is complex. I have been able to see my father in a different light. If I didn't share this equation with Janhvi and Khushi, I would have resented many things and never felt the need to reconnect with him at this level," He mentioned in his newest interview with a publication.
View this post on InstagramPreviously Arjun also spoke about the love between Boney and Sridevi, while also adding that the time it happened wasn't 'okay'. He said, "You could have been in love with somebody, and you can fall in love with somebody after that, and that has to be understood. I don't agree... I can't say I'm okay with what my father did because as a child I felt the repercussions, but I understand it. I can't say 'theek hai, hota hai, because I will always wonder. But when I rationalise it as an older person who's dealing with his own relationship highs and lows, you understand."

Google will release the Pixel 6 later this year and the company revealed how the smartphone will look prior to the launch of the device. The search engine giant showed off the design of the new smartphone that kind of looks inspired by Daft Punk, a new chipset developed in-house and more. The smartphone has a slim black camera bar running through the width of the smartphone, similar to the visor on the Daft Punk helmets.

The company will be launching two models of the smartphone called the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro and have ended the “XL’ nomenclature to avoid confusion. Both models will be available in three colours each.

The biggest change on the Pixel 6 series is the fact the smartphone will be powered by Google’s own Tensor chipset. The new chip has been rumoured for a whole that will be capable of running AI and ML models directly on the phone according to Google. Google also says that the new chip will help to improve the smartphone’s camera capabilities, speech recognition, and many other features.
The Pixel 6 Pro will come with a triple camera setup at the rear while the Pixel 6 will come with a dual rear camera setup that will not have a telephoto sensor. Google also talked about the improved user experience on the Pixel 5 series thanks to the chipset.

As with previous Pixel devices, the 6 Series will also come with Google’s latest Android OS. It will come with Android 12 out of the box and have Material You UI design language. “The colours, the camera, the form, and what’s on the screen all work together in a single, fluid experience," Google said.

Google also mentioned that thanks to the new Tensor chipset, the phone will have improved speech recognition and that the company has taken “big leaps" in voice command, translation, captioning, and dictation.
So far that’s all we know about the Pixel 6 series by Google. While Google did announce the phone officially, the company did not share any further details. Pixel smartphones are known for their photography capabilities however the company did not share any image samples from the Pixel 6 as of now.

It is a popularly believed notion that relationships that are all rosy and full of fire and sizzle, often fizzle out soon after marriage. Be it the sense of responsibility that gets added, the pressure that comes with the tag of now being called ‘husband and wife’ as opposed to simply two people in love or just the fact that making it official takes away from the thrill of it. There could be a myriad of reasons as to why it is said that a relationship changes completely after marriage.

    © Reliance Entertainment
And at the same time, there is also enough talk about how marriage is simply unparalleled and the change that people keep referring to is usually that of the couple evolving, not devolving. Because at the end of the day, marriage is an experience and last we checked, it wasn’t one size fits all.

And since I can’t yet speak from experience, considering it’ll be years before I tie the knot, I decided to rally up the opinion of those men whose word actually means something - men who are already married and can vouch for what they say.
    © Abbas Mustan Films
Here is the advice that these 8 married men would pass on to the still single -

“Marry a friend. Make sure that your partner understand the concept of space. Try live in before you take leap of faith. Live a few fantasies in your life. Perfect soulmate is a myth, it's more about getting to the one that drives you crazy.”
    © Bhansali Productions
“Get married, and do it soon. There is a whole different world that you are yet to experience with your partner, one that the society will never let you unless you get married. So, I’d say don’t wait too long and waste your precious years running after something futile.”

“Learn how to iron your own clothes and fight the instinct of throwing your wet towel on the bed. Trust me, it will save you a lot of fights. Oh and, communication is key!”
    © Youtube_Lux
“Stay single until you figure out how to apologise even when you’re not at fault.”

“Don’t stop dating your partner after marriage. The day you stop making the kind of efforts you would in a relationship, is the day the back counting on your marriage begins.”
    © Nadiadwala grandson entertainment
“Always marry for what your partner actually is. Never for what you think they ‘can’ be. That is just signing up for disappointment.”

“Don’t marry the first girl you date.”
    © Bhansali Productions
“Marry only when you think you are financially stable. People don’t credit it as much as they should, but it’s extremely important for you to be able to afford the kind of lifestyle your partner wants before you get married.”

PV Sindhu created history last month when she became the only Indian badminton player to win two Olympic medals. After earning the silver at Rio in 2016, the shuttler once again had herself a podium finish, this time in Tokyo.
With this accomplishment, Sindhu has surpassed all the other badminton players who came before her - well, at least in terms of how prestigious their awards are. And surely enough, the 26-year old deserves all the credit that she has been getting in the recent past.
    View this post on Instagram
If there is one man, in all of India, who might be as happy as Sindhu and her family members, it has to be her former coach and the legendary Pullela Gopichand. Although the two parted ways a couple of years ago, and Sindhu says that it was because she wanted to practice in a bigger stadium, many incidents have fueled the speculations of a rift between the student and her former master.
Nonetheless, when the Hyderabad-born ace athlete defeated China’s He Bingjiao to win the bronze medal, Gopichand was among the first ones to wish her on her big day, and for a moment, everything seemed to be great and like a dream in the Indian badminton fraternity.

And then, Sindhu was asked about her senior, Saina Nehwal and things went back to nasty speculations.
According to a report by The Times of India, here’s what Sindhu said after she was asked about who called congratulated her after winning the medal:
"I always saw the talent in her, even at the young age of eight. And through the years, despite being so young, she always repaid my faith in her." - Pullela Gopichand on #PVSindhu

    — The Better India (@thebetterindia) July 30, 2021
"Of course, Gopi sir wished me congrats. That's all. I haven't seen the social medal. I am slowly replying to everybody. Gopi sir messaged me, Saina no. We don't talk much, so..."
While Sindhu seems to be on the rise, Saina’s downfall ever since 2019 is becoming more and more evident with time with her missing out on qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 being the final nail in the coffin. Since 2019, Nehwal has played in 17 tournaments that belonged to the Olympic 2020 cycle while playing 28 matches during this time. She’s won 11. That’s a winning percentage of 39.3%.
