We’ve all got issues, that’s not a revelation by any means. Our experiences from our past dictate the present state of our lives to an extent. This extends to relationships as well. Many people get into relationships looking for comfort, love and a sense of stability.
Sometimes though, we get involved with people who may not be the best for our emotional needs. That’s right I’m talking about emotionally unavailable partners. Partners who like your presence enough to want you around, but not enough to properly invest in your equation with them. So while we can acknowledge and empathise with their deep-rooted insecurities, it’s important to look after ourselves and run for our dear lives when we’re faced with an emotionally unavailable partner.
Here are seven warning signs that show your partner may be emotionally unavailable:
Only Talks About Emotionally Easy Things 1. We get it, no one likes to be a Debbie Downer or speak about emotionally intense subjects all the time. It can take a toll on our mental health. Still, if your partner never talks about difficult topics, it could mean that there’s a certain emotional baggage that they’re unwilling to access or share with you.

    via GIPHY
Emotionally Inconsistent 2. Like the Katy Perry song, if your partner’s feelings towards you keep oscillating between hot and cold then it’s a possible red flag. While they might have their own reasons for being this way, your feelings and emotions matter too. It’s difficult to be around emotionally inconsistent people, and sooner or later that can catch up to you.

    via GIPHY
Brings up their exes 3. Oh boy, this is a loaded one. If they’re bringing up their ex all the time, especially if they’re foul mouthing them, it just means there’s still a part of them that’s yet to heal from that hurt. It can get a little awkward for you as a partner if their ex has more of their attention than you.

    via GIPHY
They’re a closed book 4. While it may have been sexy and intriguing at the beginning of the relationship, their ‘mystique’ can become downright annoying after a point. Usually an emotionally unavailable partner doesn’t like sharing their own experiences, they try to be as closed as possible. So you end up feeling for two, rather than just you.

    via GIPHY
Ambiguous Status 5. Despite having been together for a while, your partner still has trouble in properly defining your relationship. They find comfort in that ambiguity while you are left constantly second guessing.

    via GIPHY
No Emotional Labour 5. One of the best parts about sharing a meaningful relationship with your partner is the ability to be yourselves, however some people take this opportunity for granted. For their own reasons, they’re always distracted, never available for your conversations, while expecting you to be there for theirs. This one-sided love affair eventually starts taking its toll, sooner or later.

    via GIPHY
Conflicted Resolution 6. Fights and arguments (as long as they’re respectful) are a healthy component to any relationship. But it takes a sense of security and maturity to not leave an argument unresolved. An emotionally unavailable person may not have interest in sitting together and working through your problems. Many a times, your arguments don’t find closure leading to an ever-increasing laundry list of unresolved issues in your head. It’s not a healthy space for anyone to be in.

    via GIPHY
An emotionally unavailable person can be exciting to be with for a while, but once the aura wears off, you’re usually left with a person incapable of basic communication. And that, my friends, isn't a fun place to be for anybody. Pack your bags and get out of there ASAP.

Shilpa Shetty certainly is going through a rather rough phase, because of the allegations that have been levelled against her husband Raj Kundra, and his involvement in the porn scandal.

The celebrated director recently took to Twitter, calling out celebrities in Bollywood for their silence, and media outlets for the very public and crass media trials that they conduct.

Hansal put out several tweets saying that up until the law decides on the matter, Shilpa Shetty should be allowed her dignity. He also claimed that the price of being a celebrity and being in the public eye, is that very often, they are left in the lurch and have to defend for themselves.
If you cannot stand up for her at least leave Shilpa Shetty alone and let the law decide? Allow her some dignity and privacy. It is unfortunate that people in public life ultimately are left to fend for themselves and are proclaimed guilty even before justice is meted out.
    — Hansal Mehta (@mehtahansal) July 30, 2021
Shilpa has been trolled online since her husband, Raj Kundra was arrested on the 19th of July,  and has even filed a lawsuit against multiple publications and social media platforms for publishing defamatory content against her.

Shilpa Shetty has claimed that because of the kind of stories that have been published by certain outlets, she has lost several of her endorsement deals, and is constantly receiving some nasty messages.

There has been a lot of buzz around Rahul Dravid’s name to become the next head coach of the Indian cricket team in the last few months. Ever since he was appointed India’s head coach for the Sri Lanka tour, many fans and experts believed it was the step taken in the right direction, with an eye on the future as current head coach Ravi Shastri is nearing the end of his current contract.
Every move that Dravid made throughout the tour was closely observed by fans and experts alike and given the resources at his disposal, he did a fairly decent job, although he wouldn’t be happy with the way the tour concluded with India suffering their first bi-lateral series loss against Sri Lanka in 13 years.

For the first few months, the talks of his contention for the coveted job was a result of fans getting excited on social media channels but by the end of the Sri Lanka tour even Dravid became aware that there was more to it than just social media chatter.

After the T20I series, the former India batting great was asked about his thoughts over the ongoing buzz and if he had thought about taking over the role on a full-time basis to which he said that he gave a diplomatic answer saying he “enjoyed the experience” but hasn’t thought about it yet. What was worth noting is that Dravid didn’t rule out the chances of him becoming the head coach in the near future.

“I have enjoyed this experience. You know, look, I have not really thought anything far ahead,” Dravid said during the virtual press-conference.

“You know, to be honest with you I am happy doing what I am doing. For me, I haven’t given any other thought than this tour and getting through this tour.
“I have enjoyed the experience and I have loved working with these guys. It’s been great. And no, I haven’t given any other thought to anything else. There are (a) lot of challenges doing a full-time role, so I really don’t know," he added.

    — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) July 30, 2021
The Lanka tour was Dravid’s maiden assignment with the senior men’s team and he faced some really tough challenges but still was able to motivate the players and push them to give the opposition a tough fight, despite losing almost half of their first-choice players.
The result might not have gone India’s way they had hoped for but the team had Dravid’s imprint written all over it and they fought with great determination, especially when their back was against the wall.

Believe it or not, but Elon Musk certainly isn’t a fan of Apple. They have a long and publicly recorded history of being antithetical to each other. Musk has even gone on record, saying that he isn’t a fan of either Apple’s products or of their business practices.

    © Twitter/elonmusk
Elon Musk took a few more shots at Apple recently, over their ongoing court battle with Epic Games, and called Apple’s business tactics, an attempt to tax the Internet.

Apple app store fees are a de facto global tax on the Internet. Epic is right.
    — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) July 30, 2021
To put things into perspective, Epic Games & Apple are engaged in a heated court battle, over the monopoly Apple’s App Store has for iOS devices.

    © Reuters
Epic Games developed Fortnite, one of the most popular Battle Royale games across any platform. Epic built a direct payment system into the game that would allow it to bypass Apple's 30% fee for App Store purchases. For this, Apple kicked Fortnite off its store, at which point, Epic Games sued Apple for its monopolistic practices.

    © Reuters
Apple has always claimed that the reason they control their applications ecosystem so stringently is because this allows them to keep things secure. Basically, if an app developer wants their app to be available to iOS users, they have to go through the App Store.

    © Reuters
Apple charges 30 per cent of all the transactions that take place in apps downloaded from their app store, and this includes in-app purchases as well. As a result, many smaller developers and business owners, have to hand over a major chunk of their revenue to Apple.

Musk’s Twitter followers quickly joined the conversation, with a majority of them, stanning Elon right away, and suggesting that Tesla should have an app store of its own.

They are not. Apple is asking for a small percentage in exchange for the secure and widespread platform they offer. Epic is free to use purchase methods other than in-app purchase.
    — Jordy (@jordynuyts) July 30, 2021small ???? They take 30% from what developer sells.. and as a bonus, if user returns app and asks for refund - they still charge developer by 30% of app price...

    It's very much fucked up.
    — dendy | ray subject (@dendy_sk) July 30, 2021Problem is, in the real world you can't rent a mall plus demand 30% of every sell you make. You rather rent or sell the store you have nothing to do with the product sales. That's where Epic and Elon is right.
    — milliene (@milliene1843) July 30, 2021Then build a Tesla App Store as competition. No other App Store exists that even remotely compares to the Apple App Store.
    — Brandon (@StudentOfProfit) July 30, 2021The best way for the world to move beyond the Apple-Google app store duopoly is to build a new, open phone with crypto integrated at the OS level.

It's because crypto is so useful that the new phones will genuinely be better for people of all wealth levels.
    — Ryan Berckmans (@RyanBerckmans) July 30, 2021What about Tesla running its own App Store?
    — Austin Tesla Club (@AustinTeslaClub) July 30, 2021The thing is, it is not just Apple that takes an exorbitant cut from the transactions. All major app stores function this way, be it Microsoft, or Android. All of them claim 30 per cent of the revenues that apps generate from sales on these platforms.
The reason why Musk called out Apple specifically, is the fact that with other ecosystems, users can sideload apps, that is use the installer files downloaded from places other than the app store, install the app, and then use them. Apple doesn’t allow that, citing security reasons, which, in today's day and age, seems to be a hopeless crutch. We all have heard stories of malware in iOS devices, especially with the Pegasus scandal.
Taking a cut from the sales on their app store is justified. Apple and Google, do incur a cost in running and maintaining the app store, and it makes it easier for people to search for apps. However, 30 per cent is a bit too steep. It would behove everyone if the percentage was reduced to a more reasonable figure.

‘Real men don’t cry’. Thanks to phrases like these, we have been conditioned to believe that men can not be emotionally vulnerable. When it comes to processing emotions, there are certain expectations that we have from men because society has shoved it down our belief systems that men are strong and fearless.
With such conditioning and upbringing, men find it hard to express their emotions and even tend to think of themselves as less of a man if they have to show their vulnerabilities in front of others. These stereotypes are extremely toxic for men because part of what makes us human is the ability to share our emotions, be it sadness or happiness.
Well, it’s high time that things change for good and since art imitates life, it’s more than important for male actors to emote through their characters on the big screen. The change is happening gradually and we are here to give you an example of such male characters in Hindi web shows who haven’t shied away from expressing the darkest of their emotions and vulnerabilities.
Srikant Tiwari From The Family Man

    View this post on Instagram

Manoj Bajpayee has given his blood and sweat to this character. And in season 2, we also pleasantly realised that Srikant Tiwari had no shame in expressing his vulnerabilities or even shedding tears in front of others. In one of the sequences, you can see Srikant breaking down in front of his wife when he shares news about the death of his colleague, Milind. It was devastating for him but while he has also been fed the need to man up and handle that grief alone, it’s commendable to see him share his vulnerabilities. We need more men like him.
Hathoda Tyagi From Paatal Lok View this post on Instagram

Abhishek Banerjee pulled off a dark role like that of Hathoda Tyagi but if you look closely at the character, you would realize that he is someone who is beyond anger and revenge. You could understand his pain when he spoke of his sister getting raped and again, without holding qualms about sharing his dark past.
In an interview with Indian Express, Abhishek had said, “never thought of him as a dark character. For me, he is Vishal Tyagi who avenged the rape of his sisters. So for me, he is a hero despite committing murders. I never felt his anger, rather his pain. I used to cry at times. Once I started crying during our workshop. I never had any complaints playing him.”
    Kabir Sawant From Breathe

    View this post on Instagram

Kabir Sawant, played by Amit Sadh, might be all beefed up but lacks emotional stability. The director has shown him to be vulnerable when he is back as he is getting haunted by shadows of his past. On the screen, Kabir is showing us our dark side without worrying how the world around him would react to this side.
In an earlier interview, Amit Sadh had said, “I have always believed that character is more important than screen time. Kabir’s character is not just my success - it is the success of the whole team. I am glad to see that the audience is loving my character on the show. The credit for the phenomenal character Kabir Sawant goes to all those who have worked very hard and done a fine job of shaping the character. If I can be selfish for a second, I would say I am extremely thankful, touched, and numbed to see this kind of response. In all honesty, I have never received such an overwhelming response to my performance in my 14-year career span since my television debut – it is a humbling experience.”

    Guddu Bhaiya From Mirzapur

    View this post on Instagram

Ali Fazal has always been appreciated for his acting skills and his character Guddu Bhaiya is truly impactful. There are scenes where a viewer could easily peak into his emotional vulnerabilities. There’s a sequence where he was seen crying like a child as he lost his brother and his lady love. He might be shown as someone who is out to seek revenge but you can see his character even expressing his physical pain.
