    For fans of Indian cinema, one of the most hotly anticipated movies is RRR, starring Ram Charan & Junior NTR. Well, the makers of RRR released a special music video on Friendship Day to commemorate the bonds that friends share.

    The Hindi version of the song has been sung by Amit Trivedi, the Telugu version has been sung by Vedala Hemachandra. For the Tamil version, the makers roped in Anirudh Ravichander, whereas for the Kannada version, we have Yazin Nizar. Finally, the Malayalam version has been sung by Vijay Yesudas. 
    The song has been composed by legendary music composer, M M Keeravaani. Even if you are not a consumer of South Indian music, you will have heard his compositions from the film Baahubali & Baahubali 2.

    The music video also features the two parallel leads of the film, Ram Charan & Jr NTR, who happen to be really old friends. In many ways, the song is a celebration of their friendship as well.

    Let’s admit it. Bollywood does have a problem of complicating every friendship by shoving the love angle in it. 
    Be it Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na or Kuch Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, it has ruined the most amazing male-female friendships by making one of them fall in love with the other.

    Well, it’s not always the case and people having pakke dost from the opposite *** would tell you that. 

    While we agree a lot of people do end up falling for their friend, platonic friendship exists and is the most legendary one when mushy feelings aren’t involved.

    Although we only have a handful of movies that have shown innocent friendship between a man and a woman, they do deserve a shout out on this Friendship Day. 

    Here are 4 times Bollywood defied its own “ek ladka aur ek ladki kabhi dost nahi ho sakte” (a man and a woman cannot be just friends) logic and we were more than happy to see it:
    1. Bunny & Aditi In Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani © Dharma Productions
    The most real onscreen friendship which is full of support, insults and understanding and lacks any kind of romantic feelings is between Bunny and Aditi in YJHD. 

    They always had each other’s back and didn’t shy away from calling out each other’s mistakes too. The fact that Bunny flew all the way across the world just to attend Aditi’s wedding says a lot about their dosti.

    Soha Ali Khan’s character Sonia was the only girl in the gang and the boys were her friends who could do anything to protect her. 

    Although she was dating one of the friends from the gang, the rest of the squad treated her as their baby sister. DJ even refers to her as ‘just a child’ when her fiance dies and it shows how pure their friendship is.

    They were friends from childhood and although Bindiya (Swara Bhaskar) was crushing on Kundan (Dhanush), Murari (Zeeshan Ayyub) and her shared a special bond. 

    He always looked after her and called Kundan out for teasing her at times.

    The movie starts with the two characters reciting the lines from Maine Pyar Kiya where Mohnish Bahl announces that a guy and a girl can never be friends. And, they proved him wrong.

    The thing about love is that as easy as it is to fall in love, sometimes, it’s just as easy to fall out of it too. And while one would expect that when it happens their partners are decent enough to confront them about it, it seldom ever turns out that way. 
    In fact, one of the most heartbreaking ways in which people find out that their partner has moved on while still being in a relationship with them, is by catching them cheat. And that is never a pretty sight, quite the opposite rather. 
    It breaks your heart, your trust and uproots any feeling of love that there once was.

    You feel your throat closing up, tears welling in your eyes and suddenly, the walls of the room feel as if they’re closing in on you. In a fraction of a second, your life comes crashing down.

    Perhaps that is the reason why many people also resort to bitter and ugly ways to deal with the fact and end up doing things in a fit of rage that they might regret later. 
    Whether it is by getting violent, harbouring feelings of seeking revenge, or saying things that you’d never be able to take back, people have different ways of expressing their pain and hurt, but not all of them will leave you feeling better. Some, even worse.
    Here is what to do instead, when you find out that your partner is cheating on you:
    1. Let Reality Sink In © iStock
    Finding out that someone, who claimed to love you, has stabbed you in the back and cheated on you, is possibly one of the hardest pills to swallow. It doesn’t just play on your self-worth but also might shake you from the core. 

    Hence, it is always a good idea to take some time to let the fact settle down and come to terms with accepting it.

    As unnerving as the experience may be, it is advised to always confront your partner and find out the entire truth. 

    Whether you may have found out through a common friend, dropped down to a conclusion over something suspicious or caught them red-handed, it doesn’t matter. Give them a chance to speak for themselves before you decide what to do.
    If you decide to work out, you do that. But if you decide against it let there be no scope for communication left.

    The feeling of betrayal is strong enough to drive even the most patient ones to utter madness, but in my experience, seeking revenge doesn’t settle the score but, in fact, initiates a domino effect. 

    It may feel like this is what you want at the moment to feel better, but one only ends up feeling more hurt, having done something they otherwise would never have done. 
    Not to forget the fact that anything you do now won’t change them, only you. And you must never give that satisfaction to your cheating ex.
    4. Reach Out To Family Or Friends For Support © iStock
    It can’t be easy to deal with something like this by yourself, and one mustn’t have to, either. 

    Confide in someone you trust and let them be there for you. Sometimes, just having someone who would listen to you and offer you their shoulder to cry on is enough to make you feel better.
    5. Don't Be Afraid To Seek Therapy © iStock
    Being cheated on leaves you with a lot of unanswered questions. Closure becomes redundant in the case and all you’re left with are emotional scars and psychological baggage. 

    And rather than dealing with that alone and internalising any of that pain, it is best to seek professional help to deal with your issues. Someone who is trained to understand and direct trauma, will be in a much better position to guide you through this pain.

    Let's admit it!

    Growing up in India, our earliest ideas about basic things, be it the difference between good and evil, the magical feeling of falling in love, or just true friendship (yaari dosti), have all come from watching Bollywood films.
    Now, friendship is something that can be between any set of persons regardless of age, gender, or any other criteria there is. However, Bollywood has surely specialized in showing some true bromances throughout its existence.

    Be it Jai-Veeru from Sholay or others after it, Hindi films have been very successful in portraying the love between two men, making us feel ke kaash, humaari dosti bhi aisi hi ho.

    Well, on this International Friendship Day, let's take a look at some modern Bollywood film guy-friendships that are destined to survive anything.

    1. Uday Shetty-Majnu Bhai In Welcome © Netflix
    We might have seen Akshay Kumar's 'Welcome' thousands of times before, but you know that whenever it comes on TV, it's such a feel-good movie that you can't help but finish it again.

    Now, while Akshay's comic timing has a lot to do with it, one of the main reasons is also because of Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor's portrayal of gangsters Uday Shetty and Majnu Bhai.
    The two really made us laugh and love them for the chemistry between them and for what they did for each other.
    Whether it was fooling Rajiv to get him to marry Uday's sister, Sanjana, or destroying an entire film set because someone called Uday a 'Bewakoof Gadha', Majnu bhai really showed that he will do anything for Uday bhai.
    This is definitely the kind of friendship that we all need in our lives.
    2. Munnabhai-Circuit In Munnabhai Movies © Prime Video
    Bhai! Whether it was helping Munnabhai (Sanjay Dutt) become a doctor without passing medical exams in the first movie or literally believing that Munnabhai could see 'Bapu' Mahatma Gandhi in real-life, Circuit (Arshad Warsi) proved he was Munna's main man throughout.

    While they did sometimes end up fighting or having an argument or two when it came to having each other's back, you bet your a**, you couldn't have picked a better friendship than theirs.
    This along with the friendship between Uday and Majnu went on to prove that even if you are gangsters, friendship can really end up running thicker than blood.
    3. Rocco And Hunter In Desi Boyz © Zee5
    Desi Boyz was indeed a fun movie that we all loved watching, especially due to the long ongoing on-screen chemistry between Akshay Kumar and John Abraham.

    The pair played Jerry and Nick in the film, who because of the financial problems of the 2008 financial crisis, had to resort to becoming male escorts Rocco and Hunter.
    Their friendship in the movie goes through a lot of tests, with both ending up having a big fallout because of the circumstances.
    However, when it mattered most, both went on to prove that they will do anything for the other, even if it meant John losing the girl he loved the most in the world.
    Now, this really was some friendship!
    4. Sonu And Monu In Haseena Maan Jaayegi © Prime Video
    Who did not love Sonu (Sanjay Dutt) and Monu (Govinda) from Haseena Maan Jaayegi?

    They made us laugh so much through the years for the stupid yet hilarious things in the movie that they did to fool their loving father and getting the girls.
    While the two were brothers, what really reflected was the friendship between them that made them be there for each other at any time of need.
    I mean, Govinda literally disguised himself to play the role of Sonu's uncle (hilarious) so that he could finally get the girl he loved.
    While the movie made us laugh right out till the end, we were left amazed at the bond that both Sonu and Monu shared for each other.
    5. Sonu And Titu In Sonu Ke Titu Ki SweetyHere is a tale of another Sonu (Kartik Aaryan), but this time around he will do anything for his Titu (Sunny Singh), his friend that he loves more than anything.
    Sach batao. Aankhon me ek aansu nahi aya kya kabhi when you heard the song, "Tera Yaar Hu Mai"?
    The movie really took the whole "Bros Before Anything" concept seriously, with Sonu going on to extreme levels to ensure that Titu didn't end up marrying Sweety (Nushrratt Bharuccha), who is out there allegedly to break the brotherly bond between Sonu and Titu.
    This movie showed the bromance between two Delhi boys who loved each other so much that they would literally be rather heartbroken themselves than let the other go through the same thing.

    A few days ago, Novak Djokovic was criticising American gymnast Simone Biles for pulling out of several events at the Tokyo Olympics citing her mental health, saying things like a top athlete must “learn how to deal with pressure”.
    There is an old adage “practice what you preach” but it seems like the World No. 1 tennis player said those words only to look cool because in reality he has time and again failed at handling pressure himself, allowing his emotions (read anger) get the better of him on the court. We all remember how he was disqualified from the US Open last year after accidentally hitting a line judge, but nothing was accidental this time around.

    The latest incident happened on Saturday during the men’s single bronze medal match at Tokyo 2020. Unhappy with his performance, the Serbian smashed his racquet not once but twice, once against the net pole. Not just that he even threw his racquet into the stands in frustration, which under normal circumstances would have earned him a straight disqualification but since there was no one in the stands, he was spared with a verbal warning.

    Having won his record-equalling 20th Grand Slam title, Djokovic reached Tokyo with an eye on the ‘Golden Slam’ but his bid ended after he lost to Germany's Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals.
    For the unversed, Golden Slam is a rare combination winning all four Grand Slams alongwith the Olympic gold medal. So far, no male tennis player has ever achieved a Golden Slam in the history of the sport.

    For a man who came aiming for gold, he never imagined himself fighting for the bronze medal. Djokovic perhaps didn’t expect a tough fight from Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta, who is ranked outside Top 10, but he was wrong as his Spanish opponent took the game 6-4, 6-7 (8-6), 6-3, taking the last spot in the podium, while the Serbian returned home empty-handed.

    Before the tournament began, Djokovic, when asked about the pressure of winning a “Golden Slam” had said: “Pressure is a privilege” but watching him crumble like that only made him look like a fool.
    After Biles withdrew from some events, Djokovic, instead of applauding her move, crticised her saying “without pressure there is no professional sport”.

    On one hand we had Biles, who withdrew from events because she thought team would have a better shot at winning medals without her and on the other hand we had Djokovic who pulled out of his mixed doubles bronze medal match, costing his country and her partner Nina Stojanovic a possible medal chance.

    Without an iota of doubt, anyone who’s even remotely interested in Punjabi music will say that Diljit Dosanjh is one of the most melodious singers in the industry. Heck, he might be one of the best singers in India today, who also happens to have a dope sense of fashion.

    Recently, the Punjabi singer-songwriter took to Instagram to host an AMA or an “Ask Me Anything” session for his fans. And boy oh boy, did we get to see some really dope answers.

    Although Diljit’s intention was to have his fans focus on his upcoming album, Moon Child Era, most of the questions were targeted at his personal life and preferences.

    One of his fans asked him what his net worth was. To this, Diljit responded in a very tactful manner, saying, “My net worth is what’s currently going inside of me.” Another user asked him what cars does he own, to which, he responded by saying that he doesn’t own a car.

    People who follow Punjabi music, and are familiar with Diljit’s older work will remember that his songs have featured some really fancy cars. In his hit song Do You Know, for example, he was seen driving the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, and classic Ford Mustang from the 1960s, two of the most iconic cars ever made. 


    Other than those two, several of his songs have featured Lamborghinis and Bentleys.
    One of his fans also asked him if he had ever tried magic mushrooms. Yup, his fans indeed went there. Diljit’s reply to this was pretty straightforward. “Never,” he said “That’s not the way,” he added.

    When asked how does he deal with trolls, Diljit’s answer won him more fans than he already has. He said “They are already hurting inside. We all need to be more kind to each other.”

    Using the AMA session, Diljit also spoke about his upcoming album, Moon Child Era. When asked if the album will be entertaining, he responded, saying, “Definitely. After all, I am in show business.”

    Dating in today’s day and age can be tough. It has become even tougher thanks to the pandemic. Therefore, whenever we hear of some bizarre catfishing stories we can’t help but shake our heads and chuckle.

    Well, an American man living in London found out that he was being catfished in the harshest of ways - in front of the audience of one of England’s most famous reality TV shows, called Catfish.

    An American man who goes by the name Mario was living in London for some time when he decided that he should try out online dating. After matching with a few people, he finally found one person with whom he connected almost instantly. This person had introduced herself as Hannah.

    Hannah and Mario spent the next 8 months chatting and talking almost every day. Things went so far that Mario started believing that he was in love with Hannah, and wanted to meet her. Now, Hannah, in spite of saying that she lived in London, refused to meet Mario, by giving some or the other excuse, every time the conversation headed there.

    Mario got a little suspicious and therefore decided to get in touch with the people at MTV’s Catfish, and sought their help. A very basic investigation that comprised of reverse searching Hannah’s dating profile image, and a few social media accounts of her name, revealed that Hannah was actually based out of Auckland, New Zealand. 

    When Hannah was contacted by the show’s host, she said that she did not know anybody named Mario in London, and had no idea that her photograph was being used to catfish him.
    The producers of the show got in touch with the person who was posing as Hannah, and finally convinced her to meet up with Mario. The fake Hannah, then messaged Mario, saying that she will only meet him if he promised that she wouldn’t lose him. They finally agreed to meet at a park.

    Mario was in for the shock of his life when he finally met “Hannah” and found out it was his roommate named Courtney. 

    Courtney told the producers of the show that she had fallen in love with Mario, but did not want to risk losing him. So, to find out how he is romantically, she used a fake profile to date him. Her eventual plan was to break up as Hannah and then engage with him as Courtney.

    Hearing this, Mario moved out of the place where he was living with Courtney and moved in with a friend. The show’s host then revealed that they stayed in touch as friends, and after two months of the meet up at the park, they moved in together, and are still friends.

    Given just how bad catfishing traps can get for the people involved, we have to say, that Mario and Courtney, both of them got off easy.

    No matter what you think of Karan Johar, you cannot deny the fact that Channa Mereya is one of the most iconic songs for anyone who’s dealing with a bad break-up. It genuinely is a tonic for the heart.

    The rapper has edited a popular scene from Johar’ Ae Dil Hai Mushkil where Ranbir’s character sings ‘Channa Mereya’ plays, and replaced it with one of his most recent songs.
    There are those who find this particular scene from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil rather tear-jerking, and then, there are those who find it to be a typical Bollywood heartbreak scene. Well, no matter where one stands on the issue, the fact is, Badshah’s mashup has gone viral on Instagram and has garnered some rather strong reactions.

    While some of his followers found the edit to be quite good and are loving it, others found the edit to be quite hilarious and have labelled it to be a pretty decent meme.
    Badshah’s released a new song on the 28th of July, called Baawla, featuring Uchana Amit and  Samreen Kaur, which has already garnered over 28 Million views.

    The edit seems to be a really well thought out tactic to promote the song. As far as promotional activities go, this is a rather ingenious idea. Several celebrities, including Ayushmann Khurrana and Anubhav Singh Bassi, have actually appreciated the song. Dipraj Jadhav, whom Badhah actually tagged in the video, also commented, saying “Paaji tussi great ho” (Brother, you are great)

    Badshah also said that it was him who actually edited the mashup video. While the song actually goes rather well with the video portions that were used, we sincerely think that Badshah should just stick to ‘making music.’ These mashups do not seem to be a viable alternate career option for Badshah, does it?
