Pankaj Tripathi is one of the best actors Bollywood has. He has the talent of making his fans laugh with his extraordinary comic timing and can equally easily make them shed tears too with his spectacular acting. Now, he has spoken about what he keeps in mind while choosing a script.
Recently, in an interview with IANS, Pankaj Tripathi said, “Sometimes I pick stories I like or characters I like, or something in the film that I really want to reach to the people, like a message. Before choosing a project I see if there is gender sensitivity or not and what a filmmaker is trying to say through the film.”
View this post on Instagram
He further added, “Box office collection is a by-product. I just want to pass on a message through a film. Every story has the purpose of giving out a message. So, I keep that in mind.”
Pankaj Tripathi is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film Mimi which stars Kirti Sanon as well.
The film revolves around the story of a girl who wants to become a Bollywood actor and ends up becoming a surrogate mother for a couple. Pankaj Tripathi plays an integral role in Mimi’s journey and her struggles.
The film also stars Sai Tamhankar, Supriya Pathak, and Manoj Pahwa, and will release on July 30 on Jio Cinema and Netflix.

Recently, he also expressed how he had difficulty in shooting emotional scenes for Mimi, he said, “Because I am not used to it. I always try that it doesn't get over-dramatic and there's no melodrama. It should be real. So sometimes, in an attempt to keep it real, you stop yourself. So that was a difficult part. The emotional part was a little tough for me.”
Well, we are really looking forward to his next release. What about you? Let us know in the comments section below.

MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina have spent majority of their time playing alongside each other -- be it the Indian team or the Indian Premier League. The bond that they share is hard to find in any other pair in world cricket because it's not often that you see a player following in the footsteps of his mentor and announcing his retirement on the very same day.
Having spent so much time together, it was only normal that both of them had plenty to share about their on-field experiences. Dhoni played the majority of his cricket as the skipper of the Indian team, hence was in the habit of getting things done as per his liking.
© Reuters
Back in 2018, the Indian team had travelled to Ireland and Dhoni was on the bench and had to perform the duties of the 12th man and carry drinks to the ground. Raina knew he wouldn’t get the same opportunity ever again and he made full use of that, so much so that Dhoni was left annoyed.
"We had gone to Ireland in 2018, and enjoyed ourselves there after the matches. Dhoni bhai carried drinks for me there," Raina said on ‘22 Yarns Podcast’.
Recalling the incident, Raina said he was batting with KL Rahul and both of them had scored fifties. The best thing about being good mates is that you know each other really well and the same was the case with Dhoni, who knew Raina would ask for gloves and bats and that’s why he carried the whole kit bag so that he wouldn't have to run around again.
© Reuters
Handing Raina his kit bag, Dhoni told the southpaw to take whatever he had to as he wouldn’t come out in the cold again.
"I remember one moment. Dhoni bhai thought that I often ask a lot for gloves and bats while batting, so he brought the whole kit bag to the ground and said: 'Take whatever you want, don't call me again'. I think I was batting alongside Rahul and we both had hit fifties. He (Dhoni) said 'I won't come again, it's very cold out here'. (chuckles)," he added.
© Reuters
But Raina was in no mood to let the opportunity go this easily and asked Dhoni to bring his grip as well which annoyed the Ranchi-born cricketer to the core. And we can’t blame Raina for that, after all, who doesn’t like pulling his best friend's legs.
"I still said, 'Do one thing, bring a grip as well'. And he replied: 'Bohot bade waala hai tu, tu rukja, paani pi, mai leke aata hu.' So it was that kind of fun. I thought to myself that I'll take full revenge that day," said Raina, who is the third-highest scorer in IPL history.

Having retired from international cricket, both players are still active in the IPL and will be back in action when the IPL 2021 resumes in the United Arab Emirates in September.

Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube married the love of his life Anjum Khan in a private ceremony on Friday. While many congratulated the all-rounder on entering a new phase in life, there was no shortage of people spewing hatred and questioning his decision to marry outside of his religion and following Islamic rituals during the wedding.

However, what matters is that Dube and Anjum have sent a strong message of love and harmony, and we can only congratulate them on starting a new phase in their lives in each other’s company. We wish the couple a happy married life ahead.

Dil Bechara fame Sanjana Sanghi was recently featured in a post with her domestic workers on the social media handle of Humans Of Bombay, an Indian photo blog that documents inspirational stories of Individuals from Mumbai.
However, this particular post received a lot of backlash from people and was later deleted by Humans of Bombay. So, you might be wondering what the post was about after all.
Apparently, the Bollywood actress talked about how her domestic staff helped her through the lockdown and gave her home-cooked food and so much more. She also discussed how she booked their vaccine slots and also helped them in return.
Check out the post here-

After a few hours, an Instagram user, Diet Sabya called out Sanjana Sanghi and HOB for using domestic workers as props to improve their own image.
Diet Sabya, while calling out the actor on their Instagram stories, wrote, “ ’Help’ suggests that they are doing charity/pro-bono work out of the kindness of their heart. ’Workers’ suggests that they are getting paid for their service. They deserve all the rights that any employee would get.”

Soon many people joined in and started criticizing the actress and Humans Of Bombay. What added fuel to the fire was when people noticed that this was a paid collaboration with a popular beer brand.
Here’s what people had to say about it-

A particular user reacted by saying, “This post reeked of privilege and self-importance through and through” which kind of sums up the reason behind the outrage

However, Sanjana Sanghi hasn’t yet commented on this controversy.

Comedian Bharti Singh may have managed to make it big in life, but she's had to overcome very difficult times while growing up. Bharti Singh grew up in extreme poverty and elaborating on the same, she said that at times there wasn’t any food for them to eat.
Recently, in an interaction with Maniesh Paul for his podcast, she spoke about how she grew up in poverty and how her family is still not accustomed to a lavish lifestyle.
View this post on Instagram
Bharti said that her brother worked at a shop, her sister and mother worked in a factory where they sewed blankets. She also said that her mother cooked at other’s homes. Her sister and mother would at times work at their home as well and seeing all the huge blankets, Bharti didn’t feel like staying at home.
She said, “Ghar jaane ka mann nahi karta tha (I didn’t feel like going home). I would stay in college with my friends, and eat at the hostel. I knew once I go back, I would have to face poverty. Live in that dim light.”
She added, “We would make black tea and eat with parathas. Or eat roti and salt.”
Bharti said that her mother used to make dupattas for Mata Rani (decorative clothes for idols), and so there was the constant sound of a sewing machine at home. She said that the sound still haunts her on sets in costume rooms.
“I have lived in that noise for 21 years. I don’t want to ever go back there. I don’t have very big dreams but I keep praying to God that I am able to sustain what I have. We have eaten salt and roti but now we have dal, sabzi and roti. I just hope my family always has at least dal to eat. I will never want to face the situation or have my family go through that,” she told Maniesh.
View this post on Instagram
She also said that when she bought an Audi Q5, her mother was angry, as she said that Innova had a bigger boot and if it rained, it will spoil the seats of the Audi because it has a sunroof. She laughingly also said that even now her mother gets happy if she gets free dhania when out vegetable shopping.
Now, Bharti Singh is extremely successful and makes all of us laugh through her jokes.

As the International Cricket Council announced the groups for the T20 World Cup on Friday, the biggest talking point was India and Pakistan being pooled in the same group. Indian cricket fans started celebrating soon and it was pretty much expected, given the rivalry between the two countries.
🤩 Some mouth-watering match-ups in the Super 12 stage of the ICC Men's #T20WorldCup 2021
Which clash are you most looking forward to?
https://t.co/Z87ksC0dPk pic.twitter.com/7aLdpZYMtJ
— T20 World Cup (@T20WorldCup) July 16, 2021
What was not expected, however, was the fact that besides the T20 World Cup, people started talking about the Asia Cup and soon it became a trending keyword on the micro-blogging site.
Analyse the two groups carefully and you will understand the reason why people were all of a sudden interested in the Asia Cup -- which as the name suggests is a multi-nation event featuring only the Asian teams.
© Twitter
While announcing the group, the ICC pooled three Asian countries India, Pakistan and Afghanistan in Group 2. But how does the Asia Cup come into the picture, you ask?
We all know that this year’s tournament will be played in two rounds -- Round 1 and Super 12. The Round 1, which is sort of a qualifying round for the main event, will feature two Asian teams Sri Lanka and Bangladesh competing in different groups.
The Men's #T20WorldCup 2021 groups are out
The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super 12.
Who are your picks?

— T20 World Cup (@T20WorldCup) July 16, 2021
Apart from the eight countries which have earned automatic qualification, four teams from the qualifying Round 1 will reach the Super 12 stage.
Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are placed in Group A and B respectively and there is a possibility that both teams might end up in Group 2, which already has three other Asian countries India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
© Reuters
Placed alongside Scotland, Papua New Guinea and Oman, Bangladesh are expected to win their Group B and looking at Sri Lanka’s current form and Ireland’s recent heroics against South Africa in a 50-over game, there is every chance that they might end up as the runners-up.
There are so many catches to it but if it goes this way, we’ll be watching a mini Asia Cup within the T20 World Cup.
© Reuters
The 2021 Asia Cup was postponed after India reached the World Test Championship final and there was no other window left to conduct the tournament. But now that we might see it happening, albeit unintentionally, fans sarcastically praised the world body for accommodating both the tournaments in one event.
Some suggested that the winner of Group 2 should be crowned the Asian champions, while others felt cheated because they prepared for a world event but got a mini Asia Cup instead.
If Bangladesh finishes on top in Group B and Sri Lanka second in Group A, Group 2 in Super 12 will be an Asia Cup with NZ also participating. https://t.co/0bmRtfny94

— Raunit Ranjan (@RaunitRanjan2) July 16, 2021Nice of ICC to even organise an Asia Cup within the WT20.
— Clive (@_vanillawallah) July 16, 2021ICC has decided to conduct a Mini Asia Cup in Group 2 during the T20 World Cup.
— Sameer Allana (@HitmanCricket) July 16, 2021Clever stuff from ICC
It is mini Asia Cup in T20 World Cup
Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, NZ in same group
Winner of Group B to join them: Bangladesh expected
Runner-up of Group A: Sri Lanka & Ireland in Group A
— Zaid Hassan (@zaidhassan89) July 16, 2021never knew NZ played Asia Cup pic.twitter.com/gFiLmKWZRf
— bowl fast (@backfoot_punch) July 16, 2021India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka are probably in the same group of WT20.
They call it World Cup, I call it Mini Asia Cup.

The trailer of Farhan Akhtar’s sports drama piqued the interest of the viewers and people have now finally got to see the movie as it has been streaming online. The film follows the story of a former sports star rising from the ashes and proving to the world that nothing can stop him from achieving his dreams.
Farhan plays the role of a local goon, Aziz Ali, whose life changes when he meets the love of his life, Ananya played by Mrunal Thakur. She pushes him to follow boxing and he soon becomes a star in the ring. He is at the peak of his boxing career when a twist in his fate pushes him down. Paresh Rawal plays the role of Nana Prabhu who trains Aziz Ali.
Since the movie has been streaming online for a while now, people have been sharing their opinions on social media. There were people who weren’t pleased by the fact the movie was predictable and also questioned the ideology behind the Love-Jihad angle. Some people also felt that the script wasn’t up to the mark.

However, a lot of people have appreciated Farhan's hard work as they were impressed by his massive transformation. They are saying that Farhan has inspired them once again in Toofaan after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. People have also been hailing the performances by the lead actors. They think Farhan, Mrunal, and Paresh have put their best foot forward.

In an interview earlier, Farhan had revealed what attracted him to pick up this character. He'd said, “His emotional, mental and spiritual journey attracted me to the character. Boxing is very exciting and makes for great viewing in movies. I always have been a fan of boxing films. Beyond that, there has to be substance and the drama has to be correct. In this film, the relationship that Aziz Ali has with Paresh Ji or Mrunal’s character is something that managed to strike a chord with me. If you ask me personally, the growth of Aziz Ali and his coach's character is the heart and soul of the film. The journey of these two characters defines Toofan. This is what excited me.”
