Regardless of whatever the critics have to say, the fact remains that the Indian cricket team has been very, very good with Ravi Shastri as the head coach. From T20Is to the longest format of the game, the former skipper has seen his squad achieve some exceptional feats under his tutelage. Case in point, the iconic Indian tour of Australia and arguably the best Test series win in the history of the game. As Ravi Shastri turns 59, here are 5 times his candid nature made Team India fans fall in love with him: 1. Goti Muh Mein Tha Come on. You know we had to start off with this. We know you were already thinking about this moment. During India’s tour of Australia back in December 2018, the Men in Blue were frustrated with the lower-order resistance shown by the hosts during the first match at Adelaide and according to Shastri, the fear of an unexpected defeat at the hands of “batsman” Josh Hazlewood had begun to creep up in their minds, although, in the end, Ravichandran Ashwin was able to take his wicket. However, the way Shastri admitted being coiled in nervousness during the final moments of the match became immortalised when he said, “Sach bole to Goti muh mein tha (To be honest, we almost had balls in our mouth),” during the post-match presentation. 2. Tracer BulletNo matter how great of a head coach Ravi Shastri already is and regardless of how many more achievements he will go on to earn at this position, what people can’t argue with is the fact that he will always remain an even better commentator. His trademark “Like a tracer bullet,” compliment must feel like every batsman’s dream and not everyone can mimic what the Mumbai-born started. 3. Bhaad Mein Gaya Pitch In an era when the pitch report has become an extremely important point of discussion when it comes to the success or failure of a squad *looking at you, Michael Vaughan* Ravi Shastri said ‘screw this’ and was absolutely thrilled when his boys dominated the South Africans 3-0 despite having favourable turf for the touring side. “Our motto was to take pitches out of the equation. ‘Bhaad me gaya pitch’ (to hell with the pitches). Whether it’s Johannesburg or Melbourne or Mumbai, we want to take the pitch out of the equation. With the batting line-up we have, if they post big totals and then we have bowlers who can take 20 wickets – we can keep taking those world championship points we’re after. Rahane was never going to go anywhere, he had to rediscover his touch which he’s done,” Ravi Shastri told Star Sports after the match. 4. Have A Drink On My Name.@RaviShastriOfc reacts to his memes doing the rounds #INDvENG pic.twitter.com/pNvZxKgUmM — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) March 7, 2021 Following India’s dominating series win against the touring England cricket team in a four-Test clash, the former Indian skipper got in front of the camera for an online interview and addressed the numerous social media posts that revolve around him and his fondness for alcoholic beverages. "It's banter all the way. They do it to have fun. It's at my expense, but it's okay," Ravi Shastri said in the post-match press conference the day after his Men in Blue thrashed Joe Root and CO. in just two and a half days to win the series at the newly inaugurated Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. "Have a drink on my name. When you post those kinds of things, so many people have a laugh," the India coach said. "Enjoy, it doesn't affect me.” 5. The Audi 100 Winning the Audi 100 continues to be one of the greatest prized possessions in Ravi Shastri's trophy room and the legendary all-rounder says that he still gets goosebumps thinking about the moment he earned this award, especially against some tough competition in Pakistan’s Javed Miandad. He won it in 1985 after beating Pakistan and had said that Miandad "had no chance of getting the Audi," but the Pakistan captain "had to needle" him so that he "would get distracted." The car is still with him and is in pristine condition.

Just weeks ago, Kartik Aaryan was in news for parting ways with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and it was revealed he has been dropped from the upcoming sequel of Dostana.
Multiple sources stated that it was because of his 'unprofessional attitude' that the production house decided to end the chapter, and Karan vowed never to work with Kartik. In a recent and yet shocking development, Kartik will no more be a part of Shah Rukh Khan’s production Red Chilies Entertainment’s venture that is tentatively titled, Freddie. The film was supposed to mark the first collaboration of Kartik and Katrina Kaif.
View this post on Instagram According to the Komal Nahata-led entertainment website Film Information, "The main reason for Kartik being dropped from producer Shah Rukh Khan's film is the same as Dharma Productions' Dostana 2. This time too, Aaryan wanted the script changed- after having approved of it while signing the film. Luckily for Red Chillies, the film had not gone on the sets and hence there isn't a lot of investment gone into the film, which would've otherwise gone down the drain. In the case of Dostana 2, Kartik had already shot for around 20 days."
Arjun Kapoor recently responded to a fan’s comment that praised him for putting his best efforts in all his films and blamed his bad luck for the failure.
He agreed with the thoughts of his fan and said that some of his films like Mubarakan never got their due. Mubarakan was directed by Anees Bazmee and Arjun played a double role in the film. This year, Arjun has seen two releases - Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Sardar Ka Grandson. The former was released in theatres but due to Covid-19, we couldn’t see the film's box office performance. However, it was later released on OTT and garnered positive reviews.
View this post on Instagram Sardar Ka Grandson was also released on Netflix. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Arjun reacted to a comment saying that his films didn’t work due to bad luck. He said, “Thank you for that. I think it’s very sweet. He is being honest about the fact that he is supporting me regardless of a few films not working out and I think that is being a fan, eventually, and I respect that.” He also said, “I completely agree. I think bad luck, of course... A film like Mubarakan didn’t get its due. It was a really good film, it was entertaining, a clean family entertainer. Then, there were too many other films releasing. There have been moments like that. I have also done films that unfortunately didn’t pan out, but like he rightly said, I have always given my best effort. It’s good to know that people respect that or regard that and are by your side, cheering for you, to reconnect with the audience and get revitalized, re-engaged with them.”
View this post on Instagram Arjun Kapoor will be next seen in a horror-comedy, Bhoot Police along with Saif Ali Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ali Fazal. Not only this, he is also part of the film Ek Villain Returns, co-starring John Abraham, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria.
Sushil Kumar, who turned 38 on Wednesday, has been arrested and kept in police custody for six days for the murder case of fellow wrestler Sagar Rana. After weeks of intensive searches, raids at Kumar’s numerous hideouts across the National Capital Region, and issuing cash rewards for any information in his name, Delhi Police’s Special Cell was finally able to get their hands on the Olympian on Saturday evening. The officials have explained that he had been feeling sorry for his actions and said that he had no intention of killing Rana. Kumar also cried throughout the questioning session, did not sleep the whole night, and refused to eat anything. We passed on the birthday wishes to Mr. Kumar, however, he didn’t react. His body language shows that he is regretting his action,” a senior officer said according to The Hindu. The same officer also mentioned that Sushil Kumar had also made a request for a “wrestler’s diet” while under police custody and was straightaway refused. He was only provided with the food available in the police mess and remains under “round-the-clock” monitoring. "The one who murdered my son does not deserve to be called a mentor. All the medals won by Sushil Kumar should be taken from him. We believe that police will investigate properly but Sushil will try to influence it by using his political links," Rana's mother argued according to India Today. "We are hoping for justice. Where did he go when he was absconding, who gave him shelter, and most importantly the gangsters with whom he is connected to. He should be hanged so that people learn a lesson and think before killing his own pupil," said Rana’s father.
