Prince Harry as of recently made some eyebrow-raising comments about the royal family
-
The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) had announced a complete ban on working with Pakistani actors or artists in India, after the deadly Pulwama attack that claimed the lives of many Indian soldiers in 2019.
"We're officially announcing a total ban on Pakistani actors and artists working in the film industry. Still, if any organisation insists on working with Pakistani artists will be banned by AICWA and strong action will be taken against them," read the letter by the AICWA general secretary, Ronak Suresh Jain.

Now, Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who worked opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Raees, recently spoke about the ban on Pakistanis artists to work in Bollywood.
She mentioned that she received several offers from India's OTT platforms but couldn't take up the projects because she was 'scared' of the whole development that took place two years ago.

In an interview, Mahira said, "I guess, having experienced it firsthand, it’s just sad. When I think about it… I mean, we have all moved on. That’s what we do, if we don’t have this, we do something else. That’s what happens. But I feel like a great opportunity for the entire subcontinent to come together and collaborate was lost. I think it might happen again. Who knows?”

She also said that she had to turn down some amazing projects as well.
She mentioned "A lot of the other series were offered to me and at that time… I don’t know if anybody will understand when I say this, I was scared. I was genuinely just scared. It wasn’t about what people say, I was just like, ‘I don’t know if I want to go there.’ And there was some content which was amazing, and I didn’t want to miss out on it,”
She further added “But I was scared and I have no shame in admitting it. Now I am a bit more like, ‘No, come on yaar, you can’t let something that happened, which was political, affect your choices.’ So I don’t think I will do that anymore and I hope that we collaborate, even if it's on digital or in any way,”

In 2017, due to the ban, unfortunately, Mahira couldn't come to India to promote her movie.

Mahira is a part of Zee5's, spiritual-drama series, Shehr-E-Zaat, in which she plays the role of Falak Sher Afghan, who is looking for true love and god.
On the work front, Mahira ventured into Bollywood with Raees in 2017 and it's her only release in the Indian film industry to date.

Crime Thrillers are the new ‘it’ formula for the filmmakers, and some are truly gems. Prime Video’s latest release, The Last Hour, also falls into the category and is also infused with supernatural elements. It is backed by an ensemble cast including Sanjay Kapoor, Karma Takapa, Shahana Goswami, Shaylee Krishen, Raima Sen, Robin Tamang, and Mandikini Goswami. The web series has been created, written, and produced by Amit Kumar and Anupama Minz.
View this post on InstagramThe show follows the story of Dev played by Karma, a Shaman who can communicate with the dead in their last hour. Arup, played by Sanjay Kapoor, is a newly transferred city cop who is tasked with tracking down a mysterious murderer in a Himalayan town. He joins hands with Dev to unravel the mysterious death in the town.
The show touches upon the myths and beliefs of people from Sikkim. As we have seen the show, we can say that it started on a very promising note but ended rather abruptly. It felt like that show wasn’t leading the audience anywhere. Having said that, we wouldn’t deny the fact that actors did their part to the best of their abilities.
People who have watched the show also share our views and have rather mixed opinions. There are people who are calling it a gem and then, there are others who are disappointed by the show.

Sanjay Kapoor said that he believes that The Last Hour has a “unique concept and narrative” which made him take up the project. In a statement, he shared, “Having played a host of diverse roles in films over the last 26 years, I was thrilled when I was approached to be a part of this supernatural crime thriller to play the lead character of Arup. Working in The Last Hour has truly been an amazing experience for me.”
Karma added, “I am a director and I never thought Amit would approach me to audition for this intense role of Dev, a Shaman. When I was narrated the script, I knew right away that I want to be a part of this series. The Last Hour, having been set in the Northeast region of India is very close to my heart as I belong to Sikkim.”

With rising cases of COVID in India, people have become vulnerable and helpless as the country’s health care infrastructure is reeling under the second wave.
Some celebs did come forward to help the needy and those who didn’t are getting heavily criticised by trolls for not using their reach for the betterment of people in such times of turmoil. Jacqueline Fernandez, who recently launched her foundation You Only Live Once (YOLO) to help the needy, admitted to being privileged but has objected to celebrities being criticized at a time like this.
View this post on InstagramIn an interview with Times Now, Jacqueline said, “I want to be there as much as I can for people and not think about myself. Because I know I do come from a space that's a complete privilege right now. I have a roof over my head and I have food to eat. There are people out there struggling to survive because of the pandemic.” She went on to add, “If it’s in your capacity to help, please help, and if maybe, it’s not in your capacity or you don’t have the means, at least don’t spread hate, don’t spread negativity. It’s not the time or the place for that.”
She also said that criticizing Bollywood celebs is completely uncalled for as people might not know how others are dealing with the situation mentally.
“Don’t add just negativity. It's really uncalled for... There are actually people out there who are doing what they can and probably not talking about it. You don’t know what someone’s going through or what someone’s doing, so please don’t make yourself a judge of that. Even if it means keeping your negative opinions to yourself, please do that,” she added.
View this post on InstagramOn the work front, Jacqueline was recently seen alongside Salman Khan in a special song in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. She has a number of films in the pipeline, including Attack, Bhoot Police, Cirkus, Bachchan Pandey, and Ram Setu.

We all know that isolation is an easy concept to fathom and practice if you are privileged enough to live in big houses with all amenities.
However, people from humble homes in rural areas have been facing the issue of lack of space, and isolating has been a huge problem for them to contain the novel coronavirus.
And now, since isolation is paramount to contain the virus, a youth from Telangana who tested positive for the virus on May 4, has been isolating on top of a tree as there was no space for him in his own house.
He built himself an isolation ward, with a bed on top of a tree around his house. He used bamboo sticks to the branches to create space.

A resident of Kothanandikonda, a tribal village of Nalgonda district, Shiva was completing a graduation course in Hyderabad and came back home after cases dismally increased in the city.
As Shiva’s whole family lives in a small space, there wasn’t any place for him to isolate himself. So, the teenager decided to isolate on a tree instead. Not only this, the young man spent 11 days on the top of the tree.
He also made a pulley system using a rope and bucket to use while he was isolated for easy accessibility of stuff. His family sent him food and other essential items that were needed to survive during this time.

All health care centres are extremely far away and the nearest is 5kms away from his village and the nearest hospital is 30kms away.
It is extremely difficult for people living in rural areas, particularly those who are not well to do, to properly isolate themselves due to a lack of space.

Just days after billionaire couple Bill Gates and Melinda Gates announced to the world that they were divorcing each other after 27 years of marriage, it is now revealed that the Microsoft founder had an 'inappropriate' years-long affair with a female staff member.
© Reuters
According to reports, the 65-year-old had a sexual relationship with a female Microsoft employee in 2000 while he was married to Melinda.
It is reported that the extra-marital affair came to light in 2019 after the employee wrote to the Microsoft board, giving details of the relationship, while also asking for Melinda to read the letter.
Following the revelation, Microsoft Corp. decided to review the matter and decided to conduct a "thorough investigation" with the help of an external law firm.
A Microsoft spokesman speaking to the Wall Street Journal had said, "Microsoft received a concern in the latter half of 2019 that Bill Gates sought to initiate an intimate relationship with a company employee in the year 2000. A committee of the Board reviewed the concern, aided by an outside law firm, to conduct a thorough investigation. Throughout the investigation, Microsoft provided extensive support to the employee who raised the concern."
However, according to the company, it could not reach a conclusion to the investigation as Gates had decided to step down from the board in 2020 before the probe could be completed.
© The Internet Protocol
Amid rumors that Gates had left due to the affair, a spokesman of the Microsoft founder said that his decision to leave the board had nothing to do with the relationship with the woman. "There was an affair almost 20 years ago which ended amicably." said the spokesman.
According to reports, Gates had asked two women out on dates while he was still married to Melinda, with one woman working at Microsoft and the other working at his philanthropic foundation.

The recent revelations clearly do not leave a good mark on Bill Gates, whose ties with Melinda are said to be 'irretrievably broken'.

When you hear the word “drama”, Ekta Kapoor Serials or “K-Serials” shouldn’t be the first word to pop into your head. Believe it or not, but our cinemas have had a long and colourful history of making some of the most iconic, epic dramas.
Indian Epic Dramas as a genre offers so much - there is a great story, of epic proportions, the scene and setting are as grand as life itself, and the costumes have a rich heritage. You cannot be a fan of cinema and not enjoy Indian Epic Dramas.
But how big a fan are you exactly? Can you identify all 8 of these films from their costumes?

With India battling the novel Coronavirus, the vulnerability and helplessness of people is apparent every day as they try to save their loved ones from the virus. India’s health infrastructure has almost collapsed because of the second wave of COVID-19 and the number of cases is climbing up every day. Just recently, Mallika Dua’s parents Vinod and Chinna Dua were also admitted to a Gurgaon hospital for COVID treatment. Mallika took to Twitter to seek help with the medicines.
She reached out to celebs and Congress leader Deepender Hooda but it was the BJP MP and Minister of Civil Aviation Hardeep Puri who offered his number and informed her that the medicine had been arranged.
Here’s the interaction that has been going viral on social media:
© Twitter
After the conversation went viral, people started targeting her and dug up an old video where she had wished death upon all ‘Bhakts’, a term used for the supporters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP. “All ‘bhakts’ ya. All these IT cell f*cks. They should just die,” she had said.
Here’s the video that’s being circulated online:

People are mighty pissed as they’re offended by the BJP leader helping her as both Mallika and her father Vinod have spoken ill about BJP leaders in the past. One of the users even pointed out how her father Vinod attacked former PM and BJP leader Atal Bihar Vajpayee on his demise.
You may think that even if someone is from opposite ideology, we should help them for humanity. But humanity is for humans, not poisonous snakes.
This is what Vinod Dua said when Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji died.
They don't even spare the dead, cheer when BJP workers are killed. pic.twitter.com/MTxxDfpvYC

Another BJP supporter Ankit Jain targeted Mallika Dua's privilege as he feels that many people are losing their loved ones but aren’t getting the support. It’s the privileged ones who are getting all the help. He complained about the fact that the injection for her mother was arranged by just a tweet where the minister was not even tagged.
It is not about who voted for whom, it is about privilege. It is about an injection which is not available for a common man but is arranged without even tagging the minister. https://t.co/0UFk3LqNvv

Dua shot to fame with her comedy sketches on the work front, often tackling Delhi stereotypes four years ago, and has since been a social media sensation. In an earlier interview, she had described how her work had taken a toll on her.
She said, “I feel a lot of pressure, every day. It takes a massive toll on your mental health. I didn’t start to appease anyone, it was purely out of my own happiness. It started as ‘you are good at it, you should do more than it became ‘if you don’t do it, you won’t make money.’ Then it transformed into ‘you must do it because others are doing it and you must be better than them.’ So there’s no end to it. I don’t post obsessively anymore. I don’t want to get caught up in the rat race of numbers.”
She also premiered on Prime Video's LOL- Hasse Toh Phasse.

The WWE pay-per-view 2021 WrestleMania Backlash started out with an opening video with a voice-over by none other than ‘The Animal’ Dave Bautista aka Batista with a few clips from his upcoming Zombie flick Army of the Dead added here and there.
And to be honest, the video was great! It perfectly highlighted the matches that were planned for the evening, the rivalries that had shaped up and now that I understand how branding works.
It was a great way to pitch a movie trailer within a live event.
But those who have been watching the WWE for a long time now were fairly certain that the interaction between the organisation and the zombies was not complete just yet and that they’d be seeing some more “undead action” later in the day.
you can't put footage of big dave batista fighting zombies in the opening of the ppv and then not have any zombies on the rest of the ppv

And surely enough, more and more zombies began to find their way into the Yuengling Center in Tampa Florida, haunting the wits out of the legendary John Morrison when he went to “make an offer” to the Lumberjacks ahead of the match of his partner The Miz against Damian Priest.
Just as Morrison opens the door to the Lumberjacks’ dressing room, he finds himself staring at a bunch of the “walking dead”, looking mean as ever.
Morrison would then go on to inform The Miz about what he saw, but the latter was too focused on his match with Damian Priest to pay a lot of attention to it and asked Morrison to snap out of it.
Just as the Lumberjack match began, the fighters could see the ring getting surrounded by smoke and… you guessed it, ZOMBIES, standing all over the place, waiting to get their hands of the fighters (apparently, these man-eating savages are only allowed to throw punches in the WWE’s PG13 era).
Now, before you go crazy, complaining about how the WWE simply sold out their entire pay-per-view to promote a film about zombies, consider the fact that the most successful gimmick played in the history of pro-wrestling, was that of a zombie, the Dead Man… the Undertaker.
And that’s exactly why the fans of the show backed up this move with all their heart and had some fun with it too:
