Elon Musk’s SpaceX will launch the first commercial payload to the Moon called the "DOGE-1 Mission to the Moon” in the first quarter of 2022. What’s different about this payload is that the rocket company will be funding the launch from the meme-inspired cryptocurrency dogecoin as the mode of payment.

The mission was announced on Sunday via the Geometric Energy Corporation’s statement, however it did not disclose the mission’s financial value. "We're excited to launch DOGE-1 to the Moon!", SpaceX Vice President of Commercial Sales Tom Ochinero was quoted as saying in the statement released by Geometric Energy. "This mission will demonstrate the application of cryptocurrency beyond Earthorbit and set the foundation for interplanetary commerce."

Elon Musk also tweeted the announcement with the caption, “SpaceX launching satellite Doge-1 to the moon next year
    – Mission paid for in Doge
    – 1st crypto in space
    – 1st meme in space
    To the mooooonnn!!”

Musk also said on Twitter in April that SpaceX will be putting a "literal Dogecoin on the literal moon”. What’s weird is that Dogecoin has lost a third of its value following Musk’s appearance on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. He called it a ‘hustle’ during his appearance on the comedy sketch show.

Having said that, there is no denying that Musk’s tweets in relation to Dogecoin this year resulted in the cryptocurrency gaining a lot of value. It jumped more than 800% in value last month and is now considered the fourth-largest digital currency in the world.

Musk’s Tesla Inc. also said earlier this year that the electric car maker bought $1.5 billion worth of bitcoin and will soon accept it as a form of payment for its cars as well.

In a turn of events, Kangana Ranaut's post announcing she had tested positive for COVID-19 has been deleted by Instagram. Yes, after her Twitter suspension on May 4, now she has managed to make headlines again.

On Saturday, Kangana shared an extremely tone-deaf post in which she announced that she has been tested positive for COVID-19 and called the virus a "small-time flu which got too much press."
Later, she was criticized in the comments section by people for being insensitive and spreading misinformation.
Now, in her Instagram story, she wrote, "Instagram has deleted my post where I threatened to demolish COVID because some were hurt. Matlab terrorists and communists sympathisers suna tha twitter pe lekin COVID fan club. Awesome...It's been two days here on insta but don't think will last here more than a week."

India is battling a brutal second wave of COVID where we are seeing over 4,000 deaths a day and we have seen the healthcare system collapse in front of our eyes. People are facing a shortage of oxygen and other basic medical resources.

Last week, her Twitter account was permanently suspended and her Instagram and Facebook accounts are still active. However, she wrote in her Instagram story, “don't think will last here for more than a week.”
She was suspended from Twitter permanently for her controversial tweets on West Bengal Election results and post-election violence. She had also been criticized and dissed for her remarks on the oxygen crisis.

Kangana Ranaut joined social media last year and took over the official accounts managed by her team to tweet and post personally in August 2020. Not only this, her sister Rangoli Chandel’s Twitter account was permanently suspended for hate speech a few months ago.
Kangana said in her deleted Instagram post that she had been feeling weak and tired and had taken a COVID test ahead of traveling from Mumbai to her hometown in Himachal Pradesh and she tested positive.

The Apple AirTag has already been hacked by security researchers even though it launched almost ten days ago. We’ve already seen people trying to drill holes into the tracker to avoid buying accessories, however, now something more serious has been discovered. A security researcher was able to hack the accessory and modify its NFC URL for lost mode.

According to 8Bit, a German security researcher Stack Smashing tweeted that he was able to “break into the microcontroller of the AirTag” and modified elements of the item tracker software.

“A microcontroller is an integrated circuit (IC) used for controlling devices usually via a microprocessing unit, memory, and other peripherals." According to AllAboutCircuits, “these devices are optimized for embedded applications that require both processing functionality and agile, responsive interaction with digital, analog, or electromechanical components.”
The security researcher managed to jailbreak the AirTag and had the ability to decide what the device wanted to do. In the video, the security researcher modified its NFC URL and compared it to a normal AirTag to show how it works. The regular ArTag opens the FindMy website, however the modified tracker could open any URL, which could be used for phishing attacks and other nefarious purposes.

It is still unknown whether Apple will be able to fix this problem or implement a server-side blocking mechanism to prevent the AirTag from sending targeted users to custom URLs or prevent modified AirTags from accessing the Find My Network. If you’re wondering how it works, check out the video below that shows the comparison between the two AirTags.
