    IPL 2021 is going on in full swing. Actor Shah Rukh Khan, who happens to be the co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, posted a big shout out for his players, as they lost the game to Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday. He shared a picture in black and white on Twitter and was seen pointing at the logo of KKR on the T-shirt. He also had an encouraging message for his boys.

    Chennai Super Kings won the match against SRK's team Kolkata Knight Riders by 18 runs despite the team's gallant efforts. At the beginning of the match, KKR was five wickets down by 31 runs. However team members, Andre Russell, Pat Cummins, and Dinesh Karthik did give a fighting chance but at last, it was CSK that took the trophy home on Wednesday.

Even then the fans didn't give up and wrote several uplifting messages for the team.     Well, Varun Dhawan is the latest Bollywood celebrity to impress us in that manner. Time and again, the man has worn some of the dopest-looking outfits in public, be it for his gym, or for the airport. His outfits for film promotions are again on a different level.

    Very recently, the actor was spotted with his wife, Natasha Dalal, at the Mumbai airport, in a rather dapper-looking street outfit.

    Varun was dressed in a roughly knitted, grey coloured full-sleeved T-shirt, a dope looking pair of pants and a beanie. We like how he went for a shirt that has a wide & circular collar. Such silhouettes really compliment his physique.

    We also love the fact that he has a dapper-looking pair of sunglasses on. As far as we can tell, they are a pair from Vogue Eyewear.

    Those pants though are the highlight of his outfit. Varun’s pants look glossy because they seem to be made out of a vinyl-like material, the same stuff that is used to make faux leather. The ribbings around the knee also add a character to the outfit.

    The zippers on the legs, beside the ankles, again, give it a very rockstar like vibe.

    Then, there are the mountaineering boots that Varun is wearing. The suede boots that we see here are a dope looking pair from Timberland. The boots are very manly, look rugged, and have that lumbersexual appeal. Furthermore, they are actually quite affordable for a lot of people.

    These boots are the Premium Waterproof boots from Timberland, and they used to retail for about Rs 10,000, back when they were new. Now, they can be easily picked up for less than Rs 4,500 if you play your cards right.

    The Manipur-born activist, who addressed world leaders at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Spain back in 2019, shared a picture of herself while planting a sapling on April 22 (Thursday), which is marked as Earth Day.

    There are some movies and TV shows which become a part of your life when you watch it, then become a part of your memory after you are done watching them. The characters become the friends you never have and you get so involved that it physically hurts to see anything go against the narrative in your head. Some shows cannot be remade or rather, let me say, should not be retouched, or re-imagined. Well, you get the drift. One of the biggest shows that has a huge cult following and continues to enjoy a favourite status is How I Met Your Mother. The show that basically helped us move on initially when FRIENDS left us all hopeless and then suddenly, before we knew it, we were casually mouthing “lawyered’, ‘have you met Ted’ and ‘it’s going to be legend, wait for it, dary!” 
    The show was so insanely successful and big with the fans that even after the makers felt it was wrap time, they continued writing two more seasons just to keep our hearts. Yeah I know, there is a big divide about how it ended, how it lingered on, the wedding etc, but more on that later. Turns out, the franchise is about to get revived in a 10 episode special series and the sequel will star Hilary Duff. As per reports, “the series will revolve around Sophie (played by Hilary Duff) who tells her son the story of how she met his father," a story that catapults us back to the year 2021 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options”. Now a HIMYM sequel without the original star cast? Nah, for a big fan myself, I feel it's pretty sacrilegious to do so. HIMYM fans on social media also feel something similar.

    Railways official in Maharashtra, who risked his life to save a six-year-old boy who fell on the tracks as a train was approaching the platform, has now donated half of his award money to the mother-child duo.

    Braveheart pointsman Mayur Sakharam Shelke rescued a little boy who fell on the railway track of Vangani Station in Thane district. In the CCTV footage video, we can see that the little child was walking with his mother and as they both neared the edge of the platform, the kid lost his balance and fell onto the tracks.

    For the unversed, the woman with the child was visually impaired and she couldn’t do anything. The pointsman Mayur Shelkhe said, “She could do nothing. I ran towards the child but also thought that I might be in danger too. Still, I thought I should save him. The woman was very emotional & thanked me a lot. Min Piyush Goyal also called me up.”

    He has now donated half of the money of the award received from the Ministry of Railways to the mother-son duo.

    In an appeal on social media, he said, “These are difficult times of Covid-19 pandemic and all those who wish to donate money, hand over cheques to me can offer the money to the mother and the child or any other needy in these times.”

    The Ministry of Railways recently announced an award of Rs 50,000 for pointsman Mayur Shelke for saving the life of a child at Vangani Station.

    Not only this, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal personally congratulated him on the phone and said that the railway family was proud of him.

    Marvel Studios have become increasingly famous for hiding interesting easter eggs and minute details in plain sight compelling avid comic-book fans and geeks like me to spend hours looking for them.
    Iron Man’s ‘Heads-up Display’ or HUD turns out to be a goldmine for such hidden content and also shows the obsession of Marvel Studios and the graphic designers to get everything perfect and maintain continuity in the film.

    Here are five times Iron Man’s HUD paid great attention to detail:

    1. Combat Mode - The Avengers (2012)
    During the third act of the film when the Avengers finally get over their personal egos and form a team of ‘Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ against the Chitauri, Tony Stark’s display changes from the normal blue to deadly red. 
    While the blue display showed Stark’s health status, the red ‘Combat Mode’ showed his arsenal of rockets and other weapons that his suit was equipped with.
    2. Hulkbuster - Avenger: Age of Ultron (2015)
    In the scene in which Hulk is under the spell of Wanda Maximoff, Tony stops him from destroying an entire city with the help of the all-new badass Hulkbuster armour. 
    There are two things to notice once the Hulkbuster is up and running. One, the entire HUD gets significantly better in order to differentiate this suit from his common human-sized ones. 
    Secondly, it shows the different strategies Tony would use to defeat Banner such as activating ‘Sedation’ or even mark spots in an under construction-building where he’d have to hit with rockets in order to ensure minimum collateral damage while dropping the angry beast through it.
    3. Diagnosing Anxiety Attack - Iron Man 3 (2013)
    This entire conversation between Tony and J.A.R.V.I.S. in the first half of the movie is simply brilliant. Unable to forget the memories of the battle of New York from the first Avengers’ movie, Tony suffers an anxiety attack and asks his AI to check what’s wrong with him. 
    While talking to Stark, J.A.R.V.I.S. checks everything that he is asked to, while showing the results on his HUD almost instantly. First, he does a CT Heart Scan, followed by an MRI of the brain. He then checks Stark’s blood for poison under “toxicology screening”  before finally letting him know that it’s a severe anxiety attack.
    4. The Injured Left Arm - Iron Man 2 (2010) © Marvel Studios
    Throughout the MCU movies, Stark can be seen nursing his left arm, sometimes even wearing an arm sling to give it rest. 

    In Captain America: Civil War he even explicitly says that his left arm “is numb”. That is because of the numerous injuries caused to the region as Iron Man.
    However, in Iron Man 2 once Tony and Rhodes defeat Whiplash, the suit runs a check on the damage done to Tony’s body and his left arm is shown in red. This is going a couple of extra miles just to ensure continuity, not only within the film but also an entire movie franchise. 
    5.  Suit Charged To 400% And 312% - Avengers (2012)
    Arguably the most entertaining detail of them all, is shown in the first Avengers film when Stark and Thor get “acquainted” to each other. Thor zaps with him a powerful lightning bolt which happens to charge the suit by 400%. 
    Interestingly, the suit shows that the power levels didn’t stop at 400% but went all the way up to 475%. Later in the film, when Stark manually tries to kick start one of the engines of the Helicarrier and Captain America fails to pull the red lever in time, the display shows 312% power, signifying that while the suit has consumed over 150% of the energy from Thor’s strike, it can still be active three times more than its usual run-time. 


    These details are so small that you’d miss it if you blink at the wrong moment and with so many other things happening in a scene, it is very easy to not even notice that they are there.

    Even then, the designers put hours and hours of hard work to ensure that these hints are there, not because they have to, but because they are passionate about their work and want to make it perfect and that’s worth recognition, I believe.

    During the 14th edition of the Indian T20 league, however, one element seems to be extremely common in most of the commercials that are being telecast during the matches and that element is none other than Ranveer Singh.

    The 35-year-old actor single-handedly has the charisma and energy of that a crowded football stadium and because of the kind of personality he commands in the Indian film industry, he is loved and adored by millions of fans from all over the country.
    Big brands such as Jio, My11Circle, and Bingo understand the worth of Singh’s celebrity status and wanted to make the most of the occasion during the two months of madness that the IPL is. 

    As a result, they all ended up hiring him for the numerous adverts they wished to show during the season.

    Little did they realise that as soon as an over ended, it was a complete Ranveer Singh-show with him appearing on the television screen every 10-15 seconds while promoting things like mobile network connections, fantasy cricket, snacks among other things.

    While the first couple of days were bearable, fans eventually began to lose their cool after watching the Simmba star in one of his millions of quirky avatars and started finding new ways to show their frustration on social media.
