'Every Day Is Earth Day For Me' India's 9-YO Climate Activist Licypriya Kangujam Celebrates Earth Day

Whether it is melting glaciers that we hear about in the news every now and then, or the rising sea levels or the rising maximum temperatures across the globe, climate change is real and often leads us to this thought, "What kind of world are we leaving for our children?"

The Manipur-born activist, who addressed world leaders at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Spain back in 2019, shared a picture of herself while planting a sapling on April 22 (Thursday), which is marked as Earth Day.Β

Posting the picture on microblogging website Twitter, Licypriya said, ''Everyday is Earth Day for me. We need to treat our planet with love and respect everyday, not just one day. Happy Earth Day everyone.''Β Β
