Like most cricketers, Indian batting star, Rohit Sharma too has a taste for zany sneakers. Sometimes seen flaunting some quirky pairs on his Instagram feed, Rohit has time and again proved that he is no less than a sneakerhead. He is a role model on the field but a style icon off the field, to say the least.

The reason why we are praising Rohit Sharma is that the talismanic skipper did something unique, during the recent IPL 2021 tournament. While the team's top priority is to focus on the competition, Rohit left no stone unturned in raising awareness about the environmental issues. What was commendable here was the way he did it. Yes, Rohit was seen wearing a pair of customised sneakers that were designed to spread a message about conserving the endangered species and saving the ocean.
Take a look.

Rohit used his spikes as a reason to share the important message. The pair is customised by Adidas and the cricket shoes spoke about the plastic-free ocean. These quirky shoes attracted all the attention to his sneakers and fans couldn't stop raving about the pair on Twitter.
In fact, Rohit took to Twitter, saying that this move was more than just a game for him. He wrote "The other cause that’s extremely close to my heart. This one hits hard! This is a hundred percent in our control to reverse. I take my cause with me while I go out and do what I love!

He also mentioned in the next tweet that he would continue to have a conversation about it and in the end, said 'let's get our oceans healthy again'

Earlier, he also took to Instagram and posted about another pair that he wore a couple of days ago, which spoke about the conservation of the great One-Horned Rhinoceros or the Indian Rhino, as we call it.
He wrote "Yesterday when I walked on to the field it was more than just a game for me. Playing cricket is my dream and help make this world a better place is a cause we all need to work towards and It was special for me to take a cause so close to my heart with me on the field while I do what I love. Every step matters."

The shoes made a bold statement and this move would help people understand the vision to save the species that are getting extinct.
After this initiative, people started praising Rohit for his efforts. Take a look at some of these tweets.
Big thank you to you Rohit for recognising the problems the oceans face right now.

The visuals from devotees and ‘sadhus’ taking a dip in the Holy Ganges are quite worrisome considering the current scenario of COVID cases in India. As expected after the pictures went viral from the Kumbh Mela, the virus was detected in more than 1,000 people in just 48 hours in the city of Haridwar. Over 13.5 lakh people, including sadhus from 13 akhadas, took a dip in the Ganges and it created such a situation that police had to intervene and clear the ghats
Harsh Goenka, Chairman of RPG Group, took to Twitter to reflect on the situation and shared a meme on the devotees who came to the ghats. He shared an image on Twitter and wrote, “Meanwhile at the Kumbh Mela the international press is appalled at how low we wear our masks.”
Here’s the screenshot of the tweet that has gone viral:
© Twitter/Harsh Goenka
He deleted the tweet but the damage was done and screenshots were taken. After the tweet went viral, people started to trend the hashtag ‘Boycott CEAT’ and bashed Harsh Goenka for having such views on Hinduism. They also shared the screenshot of his old tweet where he made a potshot at Lord Shiva.
Take a look at the old tweet that is also doing the rounds:

And here’s how people are reacting on the social media platform:
#BoycottCeat
I was employee of CEAT in between 2015-2016. Thank God I resigned from that hell. They terminate 1 of my colleague employee for reading Namaaz at working area and I supported this. But now I am regretting this man deserve arrest for hurting Hindus religious sentiment pic.twitter.com/PK2k92DJdI
— Piyush (@the_lost_boyy) April 15, 2021#BoycottCeat That coward has deleted those tweets. I hope he won't find the courage to do this once more. Meanwhile in Kerala, troll groups are filled with obnoxious memes about Kumbh. No one wants to make fun of Eid or Easter. Hindus are easy targets, especially in Kerala.

— Ansh Shukla (@ashish23750) April 15, 2021 Then, some people supported Goenka’s viewpoint on over lakh people gathering on the ghats when COVID’s second wave is at its peak.
We may #BoycottCeat @hvgoenka but it doesn't change the fact that khumbh scale should have been curtailed and bengal elections shd have been postponed. That's a diff thing that things are equally bad in chandani chowk also.
— gt (@gt26) April 15, 2021#BoycottCeat those who will say truth it is mocking hindu dharma ?? 100k ppl gathered in this Corona situation why the mela is not cancelled ?? Now who will take responsibility
— Aki (@MohammadAkramK1) April 15, 2021What do you have to say about the entire fiasco on the social media platform? Let us know in the comments section below.
Even after these many positive cases, Uttarakhand officials said that Kumbh Mela will not be cut short. Haridwar District Magistrate Deepak Rawat said that the Kumbh Mela was earlier scheduled to begin in January, but the Uttarakhand government decided to start it in April due to the coronavirus situation, NDTV reported “I have no information of it being curtailed,” Rawat said.
We wonder what’s going to happen if devotees continue to gather at the ghats.

Ever since the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League has started, one of the players who have had a great return to form has to be Royal Challengers Bangalore’s all-rounder Glenn Maxwell.
In the first two matches of the tournament, the Australian not only seems to have forgotten the evident struggles of the previous year but is playing a crucial role behind the two-match winning streak that has sent the Virat Kohli-led squad at the top of the IPL Points Table.

After winning the ‘Player of the Match’ for his game-saving innings of 59 off 41 deliveries, the ‘Big Show’ spoke about how the Bengaluru franchise backed him up and helped him get back to his usual self.
"RCB's management is unbelievable, they've always been backing me". - Glenn Maxwell.
— Mufaddal Vohra (@mufaddal_vohra) April 14, 2021
"RCB's management is unbelievable, they've always been backing me," the hitter from Down Under said after the win against SunRisers Hyderabad on Wednesday.
This statement from Maxwell, however, has triggered the fans of his previous franchise, the Punjab Kings, who feel ignored and unappreciated by the cricketer for supporting him, especially when he was down and struggling.
Cmon. Didn't punjab back you.?They played you almost all matches in last Ipl when you were such a liability.

— axay patel (@akki_dhoni) April 14, 2021Cmon maxii.. this isn't backing you're performing for them.. Real backing was when you were playing for Punjab when you didn't hitted single six in whole season still they included in almost every match.
— Voldie (@voldemort__jr) April 15, 2021And Punjab last year, what done Punjab managment allowed to 14 game and not played single match winning knock!
Bakvas player!
— Bharat Devasi 🇮🇳 (@Bharatdevasi14) April 15, 2021Then he should have thanked Punjab for backing him whole season despite poor form
— Thàlãpáthy Sãthyã (@sathyacricketer) April 14, 2021In the first two matches of the 14th edition as a member of the RCB squad, Maxwell has already scored 98 runs, which involves one 50, eight 4’s and five 6’s while playing with a strike rate of 142.02.
In comparison, the Aussie made an appearance in 13 matches during the 2020 season for Punjab during which he managed to score just 108 runs in total, struck nine 4’s and zero 6’s and batted with a strike rate that plummeted to 101.88.
Glenn Maxwell
•IPL 2020 - 0 Six in whole tournament
•IPL 2021 - 2 Sixes in 19 balls
— Anubhav (@anubhav_bosss) April 9, 2021To be honest, Maxwell does look like he is ‘home’ as he plays with names like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers batting above and below him in the RCB batting lineup. He has not yet bowled a single delivery for the new team and based on the excellent five overs that the skipper has been getting out of some of his other bowlers lately, the need for Maxi to lace up for bowling spells doesn’t feel urgent.
But then everyone stays motivated and loves the team and teammates when things are going their way. The real support shows when times are hard and still you see people giving you opportunities to turn your life (or your form) around and that’s what the Kings XI Punjab (now PBKS) did for Glenn Maxwell last season and he should remember that.

With rising cases of COVID in India again, it seems like we’re re-living the year 2020. Both in Maharashtra and Delhi, night curfews have been imposed and certain guidelines have been charted out in order to prevent the spread of novel Coronavirus. The restaurants will be shut in Mumbai at night but deliveries will be allowed.
As we all know that we have two competitors when it comes to the arena of food delivery apps, Zomato and Swiggy. In a recent development, Zomato co-founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal took to Twitter Wednesday night, taking a dig at rival Swiggy while asking for clarity on food delivery rules in Mumbai.
He tweeted, “Zomato is prepared to provide the essential food delivery service post 8 pm in Mumbai, but we are not doing so because we are abiding by the letter of the law. I see our competition is continuing to operate post 8 pm. I urge @MumbaiPolice to please clarify the way forward here.”

Mumbai Police clarified and asked him to follow the guidelines. The Twitter handle tweeted, “Kindly read the Govt Notification. It says that Home Delivery is allowed but there is no time limit specified.”

After Mumbai Police responded to the CEO, people started to troll him and asked him to improve his services instead of slamming others. People appreciated the Mumbai Police for the epic reply.

Mumbai Police on Wednesday issued fresh prohibitory orders under section 144 of the CrPC, banning the assembly of five or more people at one place in the city. This is part of the Maharashtra government's curfew-like restrictions on public movement over the next 15 days across the state.
India has reached the mark of two lakh new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. India has been the world's worst-hit country since April 2. The situation is genuinely getting worse with each passing day and we wonder when will be able to defeat the pandemic.

TCL showed off the Fold ‘n Roll, a prototype device that can fold and extend its display with a rollable display. This is the company’s first device that comes with a flexible device that will arrive sometime later this year. When extended, the Fold ‘n Roll becomes an 8.85-inch phablet size smartphone giving users more real estate on the screen. When being in the normal unfolded and unextended state, the smartphone looks like a 6.87-inch glass slab.
© TCL
The smartphone is still at a prototype stage at the moment and the company says it’s “still exploring the technical specifications” of this type of device. TCL has detailed that the company is planning to roll out a foldable phone later this year but it sure doesn’t look like it will be the Fold ‘n Roll if we go by the company’s statement. At the moment, the TCL Fold ‘n Roll does show a glimpse into the future where foldable or rollable smartphones will become mass-market products. However, for now, it seems unlikely this prototype will become a mass-market product anytime soon.
Having said that, TCL might be able to offer affordable folding or rolling smartphones that is currently reserved for the high-end market. Xiaomi has announced a more affordable foldable smartphone with the ‘Mi Mix Fold’ and even Samsung has hinted at a lower-priced folding device.
© TCL
However, TCL’s concept looks very futuristic and completely out of left-field since no other OEM has looked at doing a 3-in-1 phone. TCL has cautioned that it will take some time before devices like the Fold ‘n Roll arrive in stores. We will see a flexible screen device from the company later this year but the company has not revealed anything about the device as of yet.
What do you think about the TCL Fold ‘n Roll? Do you think a 3-in-1 smartphone could be something that might interest you? Let us in know the comments section if you would invest in a TCL Fold ‘n Roll if it came at an affordable price.

Money Heist is currently producing its fifth season which is also its final season and we are eagerly waiting for it. In the past few days, the cast of the show has been sharing behind-the-scenes pictures of the show for us and most of us are excited about the final season.
However, Pedro Alonso, who plays the role of Berlin in the show has posted a cryptic post recently. In the post, he hinted that he might have completed filming for the show.
View this post on Instagram
Taking to Instagram, Pedro wrote, "I made the sketch a while before shooting the sequence. I sent it to my co-captain. She replied 'it's a bit creepy and also 'but I like animals'. It's funny, then when I shot my shots of the sequence, my little brother told me 'now yes, now I see that something disturbing in your eyes'. It's funny. For me it was about love. And perhaps also a strange message for a future time, when it will be time to inspect the wound. Almost for the character, but also for the actor. I know it may sound a bit strange."
He also wrote, "Sooner or later that moment comes. It always comes. The one when it's time to go to the end of what we don't know. Or we don't want to know. And in my opinion, it is not bad. Although it does make an impression. As does true love and life itself. So chilling at times, but certainly so beautiful. It has been an extraordinary journey @alvaromorte One of those that really deserve to be kept in a treasure chest after the odyssey.”
In the post, he shared a video of himself silently seated at the back of the car and also a sketch that he made.

Pankaj Tripathi has created a niche for himself in Bollywood and now all of us are his fans. People not just praise him for his acting but also for how he is as a person. He is someone who believes in fighting for women’s rights and you’ll know this if you have heard him speak in his interviews.
His recent suggestion on gender equality is something that should be implemented by everyone.
In his recent interview with IANS, Pankaj said that boys need to be taught that no gender is superior.
View this post on Instagram
He said, “Boys need to learn right from the beginning that no gender is superior or inferior. There was a time when I survived solely on my wife's salary and I see absolutely no harm in doing so. My wife and daughter have impacted my life in the best way possible, to see the existence of such a large gender disparity in our country needs immediate attention and change”.
He also said, “I feel that parents put all their energies into grooming and teaching their daughters how to behave themselves but when it comes to boys, it's not given the same importance. In today's education, I think the inclusion of feminism is a must for all young boys, too”.
View this post on Instagram
Recently, he also suggested creating a film-friendly set-up in his village near Patna where he was born. He said that it’ll be great to set up a film set-up which is well connected to the city and people from Bollywood can come and shoot.
View this post on Instagram
He said, “A film-friendly ‘mohalla’ or colony is possible with a little bit of funding from the government to create a film panchayat at a well-connected village near Patna, at least on a trial basis for now. The area can hence be marked by filmmakers all across the country to shoot any urban setting scenes they need to for their film, with the maximum help in the form of a solid support system provided by the locals there.”
What do you think? Let us know in the comments section below!

Believe it or not, but as seemingly simple as Riteish Deshmukh’s sense of style is, we actually kinda like the way he manages to turn heads with his outfit.
© Instagram/riteishd
From wearing some really zany sneakers to wearing a pair of slip-ons that were made from a recycled bag, the man surely knows how to make a statement, even with his most basic outfits. Well, he recently managed to do something similar, yet again.
© Viral Bhayani
Ritiesh was spotted at the Mumbai airport, along with Genelia and their two kids, in of the dopest-looking outfits that we have seen in a long time. His camouflaged ‘ugly’ sneakers in particular, were the highlight of the ensemble. But first, let’s have a look at his outfit.
© Viral Bhayani
Riteish was seen dressed from head to the toe, in a very militaristic-themed outfit. Barring his T-shirt, which was pink in colour, everything that he wore, was some shade of green.
© Viral Bhayani
The jacket, for example, looks very dapper on him, given their bulky and baggy silhouette, and that green, forest camouflage. The joggers again, look very militaristic, thanks to the chunky pockets, and pronounced zippers that adorn the joggers.
© Viral Bhayani
The joggers in particular have a very tactical appeal, again mainly due to the large pockets. Its fit and silhouette give it a very technical appeal, which quite honestly, looks very cool.
© Viral Bhayani
Then, there are ‘ugly’ sneakers that Riteish’s wearing. The sneakers are proper, dad sneakers if you ask us. Riteish is wearing the Nike Metcon DSX Flyknit 2 in the Army Camo colourway.
© Viral Bhayani
The sneakers have a very unique silhouette. Because the sneakers have a sock-like opening, they do not have a tongue. This means that these sneakers can be worn like a slip-on, and that is exactly what Riteish has done. He removed the laces from the sneakers and is wearing the sneakers like a pair of sock-sneakers or slip-on.
© Viral Bhayani
The sneakers launched back in 2018, and back then, they would go for about $150 or roughly Rs 12,000. Today, they retail for about Rs 8,000 or so, on most e-commerce sites.
© Viral Bhayani
All in all, that’s a pretty dapper-looking outfit that Riteish has got there. A job well done, Riteish, take a bow.

Yes, Virat Kohli is a once-in-a-generation player, and yes the man seems to have instilled some significant changes within the Indian cricket team’s dressing room, especially with regards to the fitness of his teammates. It is also true that the title ‘Run Machine’ that Kohli got after doing some phenomenal work at the pitch for over a decade now, is well-deserved.
View this post on Instagram
However, there is another fact in the world of cricket that doesn’t seem to sit well with his fans — At this very point in time, this very second, Virat Kohli is not the best batsman in the world of international cricket and in the One-Day Internationals, it is Pakistan’s Babar Azam who has taken away that recognition from him.
However, this comparison between Kohli and Azam has obviously managed to trigger Kohli fans:
Not compare Virat Kohli with babar azam because Virat is Virat
— Shivam Kumar (@ShivamK17161363) April 15, 2021Its too early to compare Babar Azam with Kohli. Long journey awaiting to be like Kohli, 78 matches are very less in cricket for comparing.
— irab AFGHAN (@AliSherAfghan) April 14, 2021If you know the meaning of respect Then don't compare that Babar with our King Kohli
— 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐲𝐚𝐣𝐢𝐭★𝟏𝟖࿐ (@im_satyajit123) April 14, 2021You guys still can't compare Babar Azam with King Kohli.
There's only one king.#KingKohli
— Rana Hammad (@Hammad_Arif_) April 14, 2021Here are some numbers that make the comparison legitimate:
In the last 78 innings the two legends have played:
Kohli’s scored 3100 runs while Azam has scored 3808, his average is more than 11 points higher than the Indian skipper and his strike rate outmatches Kohli’s by 5.5 points. Kohli’s inability to convert his 50’s into 100’s has also been a trouble for him. His 8 tons get outnumbered by Babar’s 13. Kohli does have three more 50’s than his Pakistani counterpart though.
View this post on Instagram
On the basis of the current forms, the ICC rankings suggest that Azam is in fact the number one ranking batsman in the 50-over format of the game. This essentially means that Kohli’s 1,258-day reign as the best batsman in the world has finally come to an end.
And that is the very basis of competitive sports, right? To try to maintain your dominance in your game for as long as possible while others continue to hustle to take that spot away from you? As of this week, Azam has been able to do just that to Kohli.
View this post on Instagram
It is a monumental occasion and of course, comparisons will continue to run wild. Simply ignoring the opponents’ achievements by saying things like “Kohli is Kohli” or belittling his performance by suggesting that he didn’t get to play against the ‘real teams’ of the game is like insulting the game of cricket. We do have a tendency to ignore what doesn’t work in our favour but that doesn’t change how the world revolves around us.
If anything, the dip in Kohli’s ranking should motivate him to do even better, take his game to the next level and get that top-spot for himself once again. That’s competitive cricket and that’s what competitors do. Everything else is just… noise.

With rising cases of COVID in India, hospitals are finding it hard to accommodate patients in their isolation wards. The horrific reality came forward once again when the video of a 30-year-old woman who traveled from Hazaribagh to Jharkhand capital Ranchi to admit her COVID-infected father at Sadar Hospital surfaced online.
In the video that went viral, the woman narrated how she had to wait in the hospital’s parking lot for nearly half an hour before she finally got any help and by that time, her father passed away. It was heart-wrenching to see a daughter pleading for help for her father and no one was there to help her in time of need.
On her way out of the hospital with her father’s body, the woman saw the health minister Banna Gupta and confronted him. She can be heard saying, “Mantri Ji, doctor doctor chillate reh gaye koi doctor nahi aaya aadhe ghante tak…yahan ka halat itna kharab hai, yahi mar gaye (papa) tadap tadap ke…khali vote lene aate hai (Mr. Minister, we were crying out loud for a doctor, kept asking for a doctor for more than half an hour, nobody came to our rescue… the condition is so bad here my father died waiting…they only come here for votes)”.
Here’s the video that’s going viral:
These are scenes you’re going to see more and more in the days ahead. Horrifying. pic.twitter.com/ioIdQ6TXBU
— Shiv Aroor (@ShivAroor) April 14, 2021
After the incident, the health minister asked the Civil Surgeon to do an inquiry into the woman’s complaint at Sadar Hospital. “A woman started crying after her father died. I am shaken by the incident. I have ordered an inquiry,” he said.
People who saw the video had their own opinions. Some said that it’s also the responsibility of the citizens to take care of themselves as COVID’s second wave is much more dangerous while some were feeling choked to see her pain and agony.

The video shows us the state of the health care infrastructure in Jharkhand. In the last 21 days, more than 144 people in Jharkhand have died of Covid-19. From less than 1,000 active cases, the state’s cases have climbed to 1,44,594 with 1261 deaths in the state.
It’s time that we also understand that it’s better to stay at our homes until very necessary and unavoidable.

We are habitual to the fact that whenever Ranveer steps out, he would be seen in outlandish clothes and sneakers. But when he dresses like us, it still comes as a surprise many times. It's a rare sight to see Ranveer in simple clothes. There was a time he wore a polka dot shirt with pants and then again a simple athleisure outfit and those were the two instances, we remember him acing some easy to cop silhouettes.
