The Monster Hunter series has been a staple JRPG experience for a very long time. The series has launched on almost every platform and the latest instalment launched for the Nintendo Switch. I’ll be the first one to admit that I never really got into the series as I preferred other types of games, but Monster Hunter Rise is the perfect way to get started with the franchise. I have played previous games but never really completed any of them because I couldn’t get into them, until Monster Hunter Rise.

The latest instalment from Capcom is an amalgamation of Generations and Ultimate which means anyone can pick up this game and start playing. You don’t really need to be experienced with the franchise to get started which is probably why I spent more time with ‘Rise’ than any other game in the series. It is probably my favourite Monster Hunter game so far and will be one of the must-play games on the Nintendo Switch.

Part of the reason why I got annoyed with previous titles in the franchise was simply because how long loading screens took. You would have to go to new areas to hunt new monsters and with each new area, you would be greeted with a lengthy loading screen. Monster Hunter Rise fixes that problem with super-fast loading screens that don’t make you feel frustrated after each session. Other improvements in gameplay also made me play ‘Rise’ more than previous titles which I never realised before. For example, in the previous game, when healing, you wouldn’t be able to move around and eventually get attacked by monsters while trying to recover your health. In ‘Rise’ you can now move around and avoid attacks from monsters while healing which makes it far less frustrating.

Other meaningful changes include tracking monsters when hunting. Previously, you just had to follow a trail like a real hunter however, in Rise you can be assisted by Cohoots. They function as scouting birds who make it easier to spot monsters on the map. In fact, once you use them you can instantly see the giant monsters on your mini-map. This method removes the mundane task of following countless trails that would often result in players wasting time.

You can also now move faster in the open world thanks to Palamutes, a type of dog that you can mount and travel faster around the map. You can cover a large amount of ground which makes exploring faster than ever before. You can also use Palamutes to attack monsters without draining your stamina level.

Thanks to Palamutes, Monster Hunter Rise has free-flowing gameplay over other titles you may have played before. Another way to traverse the world is using a tool called ‘Wirebug’. It fundamentally changes how you play the game as it lets you hop onto a monster, zip-up walls and even use it to control large beasts.
While the game is very accessible to new players, Rise is also a complex RPG where you will need to use several weapons. Some weapons have higher damage on certain types of beasts so that you can take them down faster. The ultimate goal of every Monster Hunter game is to kill beasts and harvest the materials for better gear. Crafting in Monster Hunter Rise is an essential mechanic you cannot ignore. In order to take down more dangerous beasts, you need to craft weapons and armour that will be able to withstand attacks from stronger monsters.

The game’s quest system is also fairly systematic and completing them would eventually lead you to the endgame content. The village quests act more like tutorials so that you can better understand the key mechanics and get enough practice for the endgame content. However, if you are looking for more challenging quests, you can always go to the “hub” and test your skills with unique challenges and objectives. There is enough content here to keep you busy and Cacpom will be adding more content such as daily challenges over time.

When it comes to the performance, Monster Hunter Rise does not feel like a downgraded port of a previous game. It is, in fact, the most impressive game you will play on the Switch right now. Graphically, the game looks incredible considering the hardware it is running on, thanks to Capcom’s RE Engine. Sure, the environments may not look as detailed as ‘World’, but it still looks impressive for a game that can be played on a handheld device. Rise certainly feels like an RPG that was meant for portable gaming and in my experience, it looked phenomenal on the smaller screen as well.

The Final Say Monster Hunter Rise comes at a perfect time when India is going through the second phase of lockdown. If you’ve been wanting to play a game in which you can sink into for hundreds of hours, Monster Hunter Rise definitely fulfils that requirement. Whether you are playing the game on the TV or in portable mode, Monster Hunter Rise on the Nintendo Switch couldn’t have come at a better time.

Ever wondered why certain people have amazing looking hair always, and why some people just can’t control their hair or hairstyle, no matter what?

    © Instagram/aparshakti_khurana
The thing is, some men follow certain rules when it comes to their hair and hairstyle. Believe it or not, we men are very finicky when it comes to our hair. For most of us, nothing short of the best will ever do.

    © Instagram/rajkummar_rao
You may experiment with tons of different products, and tons of different routines, but the thing is, unless you follow some basic rules, all of those products and routines will amount to nothing.

    © Instagram/arjunkapoor
Here are 6 basic, but highly effective, rules that all men with good hair follow, whether they’re a model or an actor. It goes without saying if they follow these rules, so should you.

    1. Say NO To Greasy & Oily Hair © Instagram/kartikaaryan
While regularly oiling your hair is good, leaving that oil in for prolonged periods of time is not a good choice. This is especially true if you have an oily scalp. Oily scalp leads to oily or greasy hair. If you don’t take care of this, no matter how great a conditioner you use, or how expensive your shampoo is, nothing will work on your hair. It also becomes impossible to style your hair and manipulate it into a decent looking style.

    2. Invest In Some Good Products That Suit You © Instagram/vickykaushal09
Speaking of styling and products, make sure that you don’t use sub-par products. It is imperative that you invest some time and money in finding the product that works best for you. It doesn’t have to be ridiculously expensive, over the counter products are good too, provided, you pick the ones that suit you. Consult a dermatologist if you’re too confused.

    3. Mind Your Hair Texture & Density © Instagram/hrithikroshan
Embrace the hair that you have. If it has a naturally coarse texture, don’t try to change it. If you have a naturally thin density of hair, no products or routines can help you. Pick your style and routine that works around your hair, not the other way around. With that being said, of course, there are certain things that you can work towards, like making your hair shiny, or strong, and less brittle.

    4. Identify Whether You Need A Hairstylist Or A Barber © Instagram/ayushmannk
People often get confused between a hairstylist and a barber. A barber is trained to only cut your hair, and groom it in a very basic manner. A hairstylist will actually work with you, and help style it in a completely new manner. We suggest that you visit a hairstylist, after every 3-4 trips to the barber, especially if you’re in the process of finding out your own style.

    5. Get Your Hair Cut At Regular Intervals © Instagram/kartikaaryan
Speaking of going to the barber, don’t wait too long between haircuts. Ideally, you should be visiting the barber every 3-4 weeks, but no later than 4-5. This allows you to have a more consistent hairstyle, keep a track of things, and really evaluate your style.

    6. Plan & Study Before You Go For A Haircut © Instagram/ayushmannk
Never ever go to a barber or a hairstylist without doing your research. Tell them about your concern, what sort of a haircut do you want, what hairstyle are you going after. If possible show them pictures. The better you are at giving directions, the better your barber or hairstylist will be in getting you the haircut that you have in mind.

The Bottomline…If you want a hairstyle that looks dope and really stands out, you have to put in some effort. Just follow these basic tenets, and trust us, you’re all good to go. The most important thing here, is to have a clear vision, of what you want your hair to look like, and being able to tell your barber/hairstylist about it in a clear manner.

A human body is capable of many things. In some instances, it's good while some are pretty embarrassing and quite gross as well. From having ingrown hair to having eye-boogers, there are some uninvited stuff that need to be taken care of. Here are 4 gross things that your body has and how to fix them. Check it out.
    1. Calluses & Flaky Skin © iStock
If you have flaky skin on your body or scalp, it's considered to be a good sign. Calluses are hardened layers that protect the skin against pressure. Flaky skin, on the other hand, sheds the older skin and generates a new one.

Getting rid of flaky skin at home is possible. All you need to do is use a pumice stone, emery board or nail file to remove the layer of hard skin. Soak your hands or feet in warm water as it helps soften the calluses.
    2. Ingrown Nails © iStock
Ingrown nails happen when the edge of the toenails grow into the skin. This can cause issues like redness and swelling and while it's a common problem, this gross issue too can be dealt with in the comfort of your home. In case of excessive issue, it may need a professional's intervention.

You can use apple cider vinegar as it has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that can help deal with ingrown nails.
Prepare a water bucket with 1/4th cup of apple cider vinegar and warm water. Soak your feet in it for at least 20 minutes and dry it, and you are done.
    3. Eye Boogers © iStock
It is normal to wake up with that sticky substance in the corner of your eyes. We all experience eye boogers. They are mucus that our eyes discharge. At night, when you go to sleep the eyes don't blink and that leads to a build-up of mucus.

To get rid of it, you can opt for a warm compress, held over for at least 5 minutes on the eyes. This will loosen the mucus and help you get rid of it.
    4. Skin Tags © iStock
Skin tags can be prevented and they are one of the most common problems as they occur anywhere they like, basically on the face, butt, armpits, etc. Skin tags too can be dealt with but it needs to be done very gently. Instead of snipping them, try to dissolve them by using anti-bacterial formula.

Tea tree oil works well and when you use it thrice a day, the skin tag will dry out and fall off eventually. Make sure the oil gets absorbed into the skin.

It is one thing to dream about something, growing up listening and dreaming to be a prince or a princess, make castles on the cloud, and it is another thing to convert them (or attempt to) into reality with force. In a case of what seems like Sisyphus pushing a rock up a hill, a lawyer in Punjab, advocate Palwinder Kaur, filed a petition against prince Harry to be arrested for not marrying her after promising her lifetime happiness. The advocate urged action against Prince Harry Middleton, son of Prince Charles Middleton, resident of the United Kingdom and ushered a court order to the "United Kingdom Police Cell".
    © Twitter
She wanted the court to issue a warrant against the prince so that there was no delay in their wedding. After several virtual hearings, after multiple requests, a live hearing was arranged for her. The judge enquired for proof if she ever visited him in the UK and whether these promises were made in person. Ms. Palwinder insisted that she was in contact with him via social media and was in constant touch with his father, Prince Charles. The judge exclaimed that with no concrete proofs in place, it was a chance of mistaken identity and these chats were clearly with a fake ID or an impostor. Bursting the dream bubble decorated by this ‘khwab nagar ki shehzadi', Justice Arvind Singh Sangwan declared that "I find that this petition is nothing, but just a day-dreamer's fantasy about marrying Prince Harry. This petition, though very poorly drafted, both grammatically and lacking the knowledge of pleadings, speaks about some emails between the petitioner and Prince Harry, in which the person, sending the email, has stated that he promises to marry soon”. “There is every possibility that the so-called Prince Harry may be sitting in a cyber cafe of a village in Punjab, looking for greener pastures for himself," he further added. It was eventually ruled out to be a daydreamer’s fantasy which didn’t end well. The only compensation offered to the lawyer in love was sympathy. One would wonder if the woman in question followed social media and if she was aware that not only he is a married man, but is soon to be a father to his second child with wife Meghan Markle.

It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that Rock Star Yash has one of the most awesome beards we have ever seen in films.

    © Instagram/thenameisyash
No wonder that fans want to grow and maintain a beard that is as long and as luscious as his. In fact, most men start growing out their beards, hoping that some day, they too can sport a long and thick beard that looks glorious.

    © Instagram/thenameisyash
Now, while growing your beard to that length may take some time, making it look thick and luscious doesn’t need to be. In fact, even if you have a short-boxed beard that grows in a patchy manner, you can make it look thick, densely growing, and fuller. How?

    © Instagram/thenameisyash
Just follow these basic beard styling hacks and in no time, you can make your beard look fuller and thicker.

    1. Apply Some Beard Wax & Shape Your Beard © iStock
First and foremost, get a good beard wax. A wax gives your beard a firm hold and allow you to tame it, and style it. Furthermore, a beard wax protects the hair of the beard, as well as the roots from the elements, while giving it an appearance of being thick and fuller.

    2. Use A Beard Filler, If Growth Is An Issue © iStock
If you have very patchy growth and are looking for a quick fix to make your beard look thick and dense, you have to go for a beard filler. They are very easy to use. There are some spray-on options, that have a fuzzy texture, to give your beard, a more natural look. Otherwise, you can also go for a simpler, filler pen, and fill in the gaps between your beard.

    3. Shampoo & Condition Your Beard © iStock
Certain beard shampoos and conditioners actually fluff up your beard. Go for these products, instead of a regular shampoo or soap, which just flattens your beard, and makes them look lifeless. A beard conditioner, just like a good hair conditioner, is a quick and easy way to instantly give your facial hair some much-needed volume.

    4. Blow Dry, Instead Of Letting It Air Dry © iStock
Blow drying your beard again, makes it look fluffy and more voluminous. Letting your beard air dry, allows the beard to set itself in a certain, non-flattering way, thanks to the weight of the water. Do keep in mind that the skin on your face is much sensitive, so keep the blower at the lowest setting and a good 10 inches away from your beard.

    5. Brush Your Beard Regularly © iStock
One of the best ways to shape and style your beard is to use a brush. Use one that is made using animal hair, as that makes your life much easier. Also, style your beard when it is damp, not dripping wet or dry. This will allow you to tame your beard, and style it in a way that makes it look fluffy and fuller.

The Bottomline…While you grow your beard out like Yash, there are several things that can be done to make it look thick and fuller like his beard. You don’t really need to fret if you have patchy growth, or if your beard is not dense. Just following these nifty little tricks will go a long way.

With social media seeping into our lives, people think it’s their democratic right to troll anyone they deem fit. Well, this time around Mandira Bedi’s young daughter who she adopted last year, became a victim of cyberbullying and trolling. Mandira didn't mince any words when trolls targeted her daughter and called her names.
One of the users on Instagram commented on Mandira’s photo saying, “Madam from which slumdog center did you adopt your prop daughter?” To this, the actor responded, “People like this need to be given a special mention @bollywoodforevaa. You got my attention, you piece of s**t.”

Another commented, "The adopted street kid looks completely out of place...u greedy narcissists are scarring the slumdog for life." To this, Mandira made sure that the man felt sorry for his existence. She wrote, “More from the model citizen. He calls himself Rajesh Tripathi, which definitely isn't his name because sickos like this are the biggest cowards too, who only know how to wag their tongues behind the shield of anonymity."

Mandira and her husband Raj Kaushal welcomed four-year-old Tara into their lives in July last year. Announcing the adoption, Mandira had written in an Instagram post, "She has come to us, Like a blessing from above, Our little girl, Tara. Four years and a bit, With eyes that sparkle like stars, Sister to her Vir. Welcoming her home, With open arms and pure love, Grateful, thankful, blessed. Tara Bedi Kaushal became a part of our family on 28th July 2020.”

As the second wave of the deadly Coronavirus is gripping the planet, all countries are turning back into lockdown mode slowly as there seems to be bleak hope in terms of fighting the pandemic. Our country is no different and sadly, we are only rising up the charts in terms of cases. Every day, one wakes up to the horrendous figures of people dying and lack of hospital beds that simply breaks your heart. The government advisory pelted out includes asking people to stay indoors, setting up curfews in few states and imposing fines on people not wearing a mask. Now when the ‘aam admi’ is suffering the economic consequences of this, there is very little that one can do, except hoping and chanting ‘Go Corona Go’. The blasphemous part of the entire situation is the amount of rallies that are being helmed by our ministers and politicians across the country. Also, not to forget the ongoing ‘Kumbh Mela’ is also a scary ground for the virus to spread. As lakhs of people and devotees continue to seek blessings in the Ganges, people on social media are questioning the decision, including director Hansal Mehta, who mocked the system by asking what is the need of elections in the ongoing crisis and if injecting ‘ganga jal’ with the vaccine will cover for the shortage of them.
I think the shortage of vaccines can easily end. Just inject people with Ganga-jal. Go corona go! https://t.co/U2deLLAepo
    — Hansal Mehta (@mehtahansal) April 12, 2021
Some people were quick to jump on the bandwagon and chimed in with their opinions.
Sir how about putting these people in quarantine? Ganga me hi inko dubake rakhna chahiye 21 days tak. Virus aur paap dono dhul jayenge..
    — Punya Samal (@punya101) April 12, 2021Hansal, please don't give them ideas. This will be a whatsapp forward in no time.
    — Priyanka Sharma (@iPriyanka_S) April 12, 2021Aap underestimate mat karo sir. Kya pata govt has already considered your idea
    — Tweetkush (@Tweetkush2) April 12, 2021Imagine, washing away your sins and the virus as you take a dip in the Holy Ganges.
Wn election campaign no Corona Election Over possible LOCKDOWN!!!
""AJAB MAYA HAI AAPKI SARKAR KI MUSKURAIYE AAP KUMBH MEIN HAI CORONA KYA AAPKO KOI BHI KUCH NHI BIGAD SAKTA""
    — Vineet Chawla (@vineetrajouri) April 12, 2021I hope not the Prakash Jha wala Ganga jal
    — Prashant Surve (@Prashan95709653) April 12, 2021The ‘shahi snan’ is not so shahi anymore. One must understand that on one hand, the state governments are ushering people into curfews and lockdowns and urging us to stay home and on the other hand, in the name of religious activities, the nation is being allowed to dip their inhibitions and participate in a communal activity which can pose danger for everyone over there.

For those who have been waiting for Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, they will have to wait a tad bit more as the actor has himself updated that they are planning for a release closer to the year-end. Laal Singh Chaddha is the Hindi remake of Hollywood star Tom Hanks's 1994 Hollywood film Forrest Gump. In the original film, Tom Hanks played the role of a slow-witted guy who witnessed some historical events of the United States in the 20th century.
In the movie, we are getting to see Aamir as a Sikh guy and people have been waiting to watch him on the big screen as his look from the movie was very well received. The film will span over five decades in the life of the main character.
    View this post on Instagram
With the rising cases of COVID in the country, the entertainment industry was severely hit as filmmakers had to push their release dates. Updating about the release of the film, Aamir shared a video on Aamir Khan Fandom’s YouTube channel. He said, “So we’ll see where it lands but so far things are going well and for now, things seem to be in control. Hopefully, by the end of the year, we should see the film.”

While everyone had to deal with Corona, Aamir Khan highlighted that he was dealing with Kareena Kapoor Khan too, who is the lead lady of the movie. On the movie’s delay, he said, “While the rest of the world was dealing with Corona, we were dealing with Corona and Kareena (Kapoor) who was the heroine of the film, she got pregnant, another complication so we are like one more gust of wind has pushed us in another direction.”
View this post on InstagramThis was indeed hilarious but we wonder how Kareena would react to this.
Aamir announced Laal Singh Chaddha in a media interaction on his birthday in 2019. “I have always loved Forrest Gump as a script. It is a wonderful story about this character. It is a life-affirming story. It is a feel-good film. It is a film for the whole family. It’s a wonderful film so I really like it,” he had said. The film was scheduled to be filmed in dozens of locations around India.
Describing the character, Aamir had earlier told Hindustan Times, “This character is very lovable. He’s so innocent… he has got this different way of looking at things. He’s someone you immediately empathize with when you connect. Unless I perform it badly (laughs), then it’s a different game. As a written character, it’s such that you’d fall in love with him straight away.”
We are waiting for this big release really eagerly. What about you?

The Simpsons along with The Family Guy and South Park are some of the timeless American animated sitcoms that continue to be a source of laughter to millions of people across the globe, regardless of them falling under the category of being a Boomer, Millennial, or Gen Z.

However, while being incredibly funny, the shows have also remained a topic of debate with regard to controversial content that is at times deemed offensive to people of a certain region, race, or color.
With the new age of social media bringing a host of important issues such as gender equality, women empowerment, racism, mental health, and online bullying to the forefront, there has been a higher level of accountability from people who produce content consumed by millions of people.
One man who has taken up responsibility for his actions is American actor, voice actor, comedian, and producer Hank Azaria, who voiced the animated character of Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, an Indian immigrant proprietor in The Simpsons.
    © Pinterest
Hank has apologized to every Indian for the offense caused by him playing Apu on the sitcom.

    © Fox
The 56-year-old opened up about a visit to his son's school, where he spoke at length about his character with other students. He said a young Indian student told him how his actions as the character had a huge consequence on other peoples' lives.

"I was speaking at my son's school, I was talking to the Indian kids there because I wanted to get their input."
"A 17-year-old... he's never even seen The Simpsons but knows what Apu means. It's practically a slur at this point. All he knows is that is how his people are thought of and represented to many people in this country," said Azaria, while speaking to Dax Shepherd on the Armchair Expert podcast, a show which talks about "the messiness of being human."
    © Mirror
Azaria, who officially stepped away from Apu's character last year, issued an apology to everyone who might have been offended by a character he felt he had "a part in creating".

"I really do apologise, it's important. I apologise for my part in creating that and participating in that. Part of me feels like I need to go to every single Indian person in this country and personally apologize. And sometimes I do," said Azaria.
Earlier, in an interview with the New York Times, Azaria had spoken on his decision to leave the role of the character.
"Once I realized that that was the way this character was thought of, I just didn't want to participate in it anymore. It just didn't feel right."
Well, his decision to issue an apology was met with a string of reactions from people on the microblogging website, Twitter.
Decades of playing the character the way the producers, directors, and writers wanted him to. If Azaria feels he must apologize, I certainly understand. I'm just saying, there are *a lot* of people who should be lining up behind him. Or in front of him to apologize first.
    — Rick Kiebiech (@Draft6isblue) April 13, 2021I still find the whole Apu thing stupid and nonsensical, Apu was seen more than just for his race he was an actual character and if a character’s only trait is they’re race that’s the writers fault not the actor
    — Keith D Gatling II (@KeithDGatlingII) April 12, 2021So, what’s he doing with all that money he made from stereotyping us? Maybe he could set up a scholarship fund or help South Asian businesses. Saying sorry now means little.
    — NotARaja (@NotARaja) April 12, 2021Don't shame him.
All he did was portray an accent...Meryl Streep does the same thing.
    — MauiMellow (@AlohaDeningham) April 12, 2021@HankAzaria there is no need to apologize for Apu. The character was beautiful and you did a wonderful job playing him. I wish you were still playing Apu. Truly don’t apologize. We know your heart was in the right place.
    — Johnny ‘Cool’ Dewan (@JohnnyDewan) April 13, 2021Indians don't like sympathies nor do we want it. Hank Azaria is a legend. He has done nothing wrong to apologize for.I'd rather wish he doesn't.
    — Bramma (@bramma925) April 13, 2021No need to apologise. I am an Indian, and I do not seek apology. No need, really. Most of the Indians are not even concerned with these type of issues, they have much more important issues to attend to than seek apology from somebody who gives voice to a cartoon character.
    — Bane432 (@bane432) April 13, 2021He better get started yesterday. pic.twitter.com/HyeeUXoGLe
    — Super Straight Super Minority (@DAVID_LEE_RGV) April 12, 2021I think the important point is being missed. They can employ an Indian actor to voice an Indian character. This isn't cancel culture. It is an employment philosophy.
    — dowd72 (@dowd0702) April 13, 2021As an Indian-American, I've NEVER been offended by Hank Azaria voicing Apu or the character. The character is very relatable for many Indian-Americans and we should take no shame in that.
    — Samir Sampat (@SHSampat) April 12, 2021CAN WE STOP APOLOGIZING LIKE IT MEANS ANYTHING! CLEARLY WE ARE IN DIFFERENT TIMES... GO AHEAD AND DEMAND APOLOGIES FROM WHAT SOMEONE DID IN THE 1400’s I’LL WAIT
