    Varun Dhawan is known for being cordial with his fans and has never lost his calm when it comes to addressing his well-wishers. The actor is currently in Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, where he is shooting for his upcoming horror-comedy movie Bhediya with Kriti Sanon. As he was shooting, fans came to greet him as they were excited to see a glimpse of their favourite star.
    A video has surfaced online wherein you can see the actor requesting all his fans to wear masks with folded hands. In the video, he can be heard saying, “Main bhi chahata hun ki main mask nikalun, sabse hug karun, shake hand karun, but mujhe safe aur responsible hona padega na. Isliye aap log sab pls mask pehno (even I wish to remove my mask, hug everyone, shake hands with everyone, but I have to be safe and responsible. Hence, everyone, please wear your masks).”

    We totally appreciate the actor’s move and it shows that he is a responsible citizen who’s following the safety protocols and even urging his fans to do the same.
    Talking about Bhediya, the movie is a horror-comedy and will bring together Varun and Kriti for their second film, six years after they featured together in Rohit Shetty's 2015 rom-com, Dilwale. Dilwale also starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Varun Sharma in lead roles.
    Bhediya is the third film in producer Dinesh Vijan's horror comedy universe. Amar Kaushik, who also helmed the 2018 blockbuster movie Stree, is directing the new film too. The second in the series was Roohi, Janhvi Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's film that became one of the first major films to hit theatres after the government allowed them to function at full capacity.

    Apple has now confirmed its first big Event for 2021 and it will be held on April 20th where the company is expected to announce a host of new products. There have been plenty of rumours that Apple might be announcing a new iPad Pro, tracking devices and other products at the event. Apple’s spring event sure sounds interesting and here’s everything we can expect to launch next week:

    AirTags have been rumoured to launch for years and there’s a very good chance Apple will introduce its tracking devices at the event next week. The company has already opened up its “Find My” app to third-party companies where users can track items. Apple’s own AirTags will reportedly feature ultra-wideband radio technology for more accurate location tracking. According to leaks, Apple’s AirTags are said to be slightly larger than a bottle cap and can be attached to items that a user might want to track.

    Apple is expected to announce new iPad models where the company is said to use a mini-LED display. A 12.9-inch model is said to be in the works and thanks to the new display technology, it might be thinner and lighter than previous models. The new iPad models are also said to be powered by Apple’s latest chipset and have support for 5G connectivity. Apple is also expected to announce a new iPad mini that will borrow design cues from the iPad Pro with thinner bezels and support for the Apple Pencil.

    Apple is expected to announce a successor to the AirPods Pro that will come with a compact design and a shorter stem. There have been rumours that the new AirPods Pro model may not even have a stem and will be similar to the Galaxy Buds. Apple is also expected to announce a new version of its entry-level AirPods that will take design cues from the current AirPods Pro model.

    Apple has been long rumoured to be working on a newer model of the Apple TV that will be powered by its latest chipset for better gaming performance. Apple is looking to also upgrade onboard storage to store more movies, TV shows and games on the device and have support for third-party gaming controllers. There are also rumours that Apple will replace the remote with a new design that will be more intuitive to use.

    Now though, it is his latest outfit that is doing the round. Recently, Kartik was seen in Mumbai, wearing one seriously dope-looking outfit.

    Kartik was spotted wearing a pair of military-styled boots, which, coincidentally, are also one of the cheapest pairs of shoes that we have ever seen a celebrity wear. But first, let’s take a look at his outfit.

    Kartik was seen wearing a very dapper-looking pair of dark washed blue jeans, which had some really interesting distress marks. Along with that, he was seen wearing a rather thick sweatshirt, in Mumbai’s sweltering heat. Talk about making a fashion statement.

    The sweatshirt that Kartik was seen wearing is indeed something to behold. The seemingly simple white sweatshirt is a piece from Dsquared2, a Milan based, Italian streetwear makers, who are known for making some really exquisite, high street fashion pieces.

    The sweatshirt that Kartik was seen wearing looks very basic and seemingly affordable. However, they retail at around $550 or roughly Rs 41,000. That figure is before your import taxes and customs duties.

    What makes that white sweatshirt stand out, well, apart from its price, is the fact that it is actually a winter piece, which Kartik is wearing in the summers. Let’s just leave it at that.

    Coming to the footwear that we see Kartik wear, we see that the boots that he’s wearing, are from Timberland, an American activewear manufacturer. The boots seem to be made out of suede or nubuck.

    The green boots have a very militaristic vibe to them, and could easily pass off as one if one were to dress up as a commando or a soldier in costume. One would assume they are expensive, but they actually retail in India for under Rs 5,000 at most e-commerce platforms.

    With the gigantic second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic finally making its presence felt in almost every nation across the world, there is an even bigger need for detecting the virus at the earliest in order to break its chain of spread.

    According to estimates carried out by the World Health Organization (WHO), as of Tuesday (April 13), there were around 136,291,755 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 2,941,128 deaths.
    While the global vaccination drive is on across the world to help tackle the virus with around 732,981,684 vaccine doses already administered, there is surely a need for better detection methods to curb the spread from the get-go.

    One such means has reportedly been established in Germany, with a Munich-based company called Semic RF, designing a unique eye scan test, which has the ability to identify the carriers of the disease within just three minutes. 

    This is a major technological advancement to battle the Coronavirus, which has mutated and developed into multiple strains since it was first detected in Wuhan back at the end of 2019. 
    According to a Reuters report, the Corona eye scan test has an accuracy rate of around 95 percent. "Semic RF has developed its scanning app with colleagues in the United States and, pending regulatory approval, hopes to start rolling it out there by the end of next month," says its managing director, Wolfgang Gruber.

    The process of testing involves taking the photo of the person's eye with the help of a smartphone, with the eye scan then identifying the virus by means of a symptomatic inflammation called “pink eye.”
    “We managed to isolate COVID-19 from over two million different shades of pink,” Gruber told Reuters. According to Gruber, the app has already tested more than 70,000 individuals and boasts the ability to process up to a million scans per second. 
    He said the eye scan could be utilized to restore a level of normalcy amongst human civilization, as it could potentially be used to allow crowds of people to attend mass-attendance events like live music concerts and sports events like football matches. 
    “You take your app, take a picture of both eyes, send it for evaluation, and then you can have the evaluated result stored as a QR code on the tested person’s smartphone,” said Gruber. 
    Let's hope for everyone's sake that the new virus detection technology is available to every nation, as we really could do with some normalcy back among us.

    The match between the Mumbai Indians and the Kolkata Knight Riders ended up with fans on both sides of the competition as despite restricting the reigning champions to a nominal 152 runs in the first half and getting a great start to their own batting innings, KKR ended up losing by 10 runs.
    Soon after the match got over, franchise co-owner Shahrukh Khan wrote a surprising but much-required tweet, apologising to the fans of the squad for the obvious disappointment and embarrassment they had to go through on Tuesday.
