It is one thing to dream about something, growing up listening and dreaming to be a prince or a princess, make castles on the cloud, and it is another thing to convert them (or attempt to) into reality with force. In a case of what seems like Sisyphus pushing a rock up a hill, a lawyer in Punjab, advocate Palwinder Kaur, filed a petition against prince Harry to be arrested for not marrying her after promising her lifetime happiness. The advocate urged action against Prince Harry Middleton, son of Prince Charles Middleton, resident of the United Kingdom and ushered a court order to the "United Kingdom Police Cell".

She wanted the court to issue a warrant against the prince so that there was no delay in their wedding. After several virtual hearings, after multiple requests, a live hearing was arranged for her. The judge enquired for proof if she ever visited him in the UK and whether these promises were made in person. Ms. Palwinder insisted that she was in contact with him via social media and was in constant touch with his father, Prince Charles. The judge exclaimed that with no concrete proofs in place, it was a chance of mistaken identity and these chats were clearly with a fake ID or an impostor. Bursting the dream bubble decorated by this ‘khwab nagar ki shehzadi', Justice Arvind Singh Sangwan declared that "I find that this petition is nothing, but just a day-dreamer's fantasy about marrying Prince Harry. This petition, though very poorly drafted, both grammatically and lacking the knowledge of pleadings, speaks about some emails between the petitioner and Prince Harry, in which the person, sending the email, has stated that he promises to marry soon”. “There is every possibility that the so-called Prince Harry may be sitting in a cyber cafe of a village in Punjab, looking for greener pastures for himself," he further added. It was eventually ruled out to be a daydreamer’s fantasy which didn’t end well. The only compensation offered to the lawyer in love was sympathy. One would wonder if the woman in question followed social media and if she was aware that not only he is a married man, but is soon to be a father to his second child with wife Meghan Markle.
