It all started when Glenn Maxwell walked to the middle of the Chepauk stadium and smashed his first six in the Royal Challengers Bangalore uniform in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League.
As soon as the ball flew over the boundary rope and almost over the end stands of the ground, the official Twitter handle of the RCB decided to get cheeky with Punjab Kings, the franchise Maxwell played for last season but had failed to live up to his heavy-hitter reputation.
First Maxi-mum in Red and Gold and he nearly hits it out of Chennai!🤯

Thank you @PunjabKingsIPL. We would hug you if not for social distancing #PlayBold #WeAreChallengers #MIvRCB #DareToDream

“First Maxi-mum in Red and Gold and he nearly hits it out of Chennai! Thank you @PunjabKingsIPL. We would hug you if not for social distancing,” RCB tweeted.
Unafraid of confrontation and well-versed with the kind of exchanges that have taken place between the two franchises in the past couple of seasons, PBKS reverted almost immediately with a nasty jab of their own.
Aww and thank you for Gayle, KL, Mandy, Sarfaraz, Mayank... #SaddaPunjab #IPL2021 #PunjabKings
    — Punjab Kings (@PunjabKingsIPL) April 9, 2021
“Aww and thank you for Gayle, KL, Mandy, Sarfaraz, Mayank…” replied the Punjab squad.
Taking it a notch further, RCB decided to get personal and hinted at how similar Punjab’s new logo, helmet, and jerseys looked to the ones used by the Bengaluru team ever since the rebranding and renaming of the former franchise.
You missed jersey, helmet, pads...and logo?

    But between us, who's keeping count?🤷‍♂#PlayBold #WeAreChallengers #MIvRCB #DareToDream
    — Royal Challengers Bangalore (@RCBTweets) April 9, 2021 But whoever runs the PKBS social media pages surely knows how to deliver solid comebacks and they did the same on Friday evening.
Yes, thank you for inventing colours
    And congrats on the win 🏻#SaddaPunjab #PunjabKings #IPL2021 #MIvRCB
    — Punjab Kings (@PunjabKingsIPL) April 9, 2021While this Twitter banter does feel like a bunch of kids fighting over their favourite toys and trying to declare their dominance by making fun of each others’ brands and logos and colours (honestly, the only thing left now is for someone to crack a ‘Yo Mama’ joke), this is exactly what was missed by the fans of the Indian Premier League.
Regardless, the fan-base of the two sides were unable to declare who the clear winner was and started a small fight over their own:

The Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Punjab Kings are scheduled to take their rivalry to the cricket ground on April 30, when Virat Kohli and KL Rahul’s squads like lock horns at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

At the end of the nail-biting finish to the first match of the Indian Premier League 2021 between the reigning champions Mumbai Indians and the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Yuvraj Singh tweeted about a major takeaway from the second innings - the fact that RCB skipper Virat Kohli had decided to play ace batsman AB de Villiers at the No. 5 spot while sending Glenn Maxwell before him.
Don’t understand @ABdeVilliers17 batting at no 5 !!? 🤷‍♂️your best batsmen after opening have to come at no 3 or no 4 in t20 just an opinion #MIvRCB #IPL2021
    — Yuvraj Singh (@YUVSTRONG12) April 9, 2021
“Don’t understand @ABdeVilliers17  batting at no 5 !!? Man shruggingyour best batsmen after opening have to come at no 3 or no 4 in t20 just an opinion #MIvRCB #IPL2021,” Singh tweeted from his official account, questioning Kohli’s logic behind the decision.
And while most of the fans were trying to have a normal conversation with the southpaw legend, some of the fans of Virat Kohli chose the ‘trolling’ route to engage with Yuvi.
Which franchise are you playing... Oops sorry..
    — Ridiculously Smart (@AkshayPatkar4) April 9, 2021Kohli ko phone krke puchlo bhai. Aapko ko toh no.11 pe batting krna chaiye tha 2014 WC mein.
    — Andy. (@WeBleedBlue007) April 9, 2021Bro that is why you didn't become as successful captain on any format or any team infact. He has only finshed the match when rest didn't perform.
    — Elamvazhuthi.S (@vazhuthi11) April 9, 2021Gosh why has Yuvraj become like this after retirement.
    — Adi_Reddy ⚕️ (@dr_adireddy) April 9, 2021After the match was over, Kohli ended up addressing the issue for good and suggested that the decision was made by keeping in mind the versatility of the former South African skipper with the bat and the kind of mental impact he has on the opposing bowlers.
“The opposition gets nervous about AB. We have depth in the batting which we want to utilise. AB is probably the only player who’s so versatile and can do what he did on slow pitches today, so we have to understand. If there’s a partnership on, you might see a totally different order. But in a tricky chase, you want some options in the back end, where the opposition thinks it’s not over till he gets out,” Kohli stated in the post-match presentation.

As it turns out, Kohli’s analysis of de Villiers and the Mumbai Indians’ bowling attack was spot on as RCB ended up winning the match on the final ball. Maxwell’s 39 and de Villiers’ quickfire 48 in the middle proved to be of the essence in bridging the gap while chasing MI’s 159.
With a heroic single on the final ball, Harshal Patel, the man of the match with his 5/27 spell in four overs, hammered the final nail in the coffin and the Bengaluru squad once again started their IPL season with a win.

If there is one cricketer who is indisputably loved and respected by every single person out there, he has to be Mr Rahul Dravid. In the present cricket scenario rife with often unnecessary aggression, all one needs to do is to take a look back at how this man conducted himself, in order to be reminded why Cricket is called 'The Gentleman's Game'.
However, the whole country has been in shock and awe after watching his maddeningly angry avatar in a commercial yesterday, for the first ever time. He has been in the news ever since.

While we can't stop applauding this man for being absolutely perfect at everything he does, including this new angry avatar, here are 10 rare photos of him looking his fashionable best, and not angry.
    1. If he had taken up modelling instead of cricket, perhaps he'd have been just as successful.

    3. Even though it's not a legit function where he's dressed like that, but a felicitation instead, the man does know how to knock traditional outfits out of the park.

    9. Was Manyavar around back then? Pretty sure not because they won't NOT have wanted this man for their campaigns!

It’s been over an year of living with the coronavirus pandemic. With another COVID-19 surge coming our way, we're also dealing with another round of lockdowns and curfews across the country. However, this time around, as there's no confusion about wearing a mask or not wearing a mask, we see everyone outside wearing a mask.
In fact, Bollywood celebrities have take it upon themselves to wear a mask each time they step out to set a good example for their fan base. But just because everyone's in a mask, does not meet they're wearing bland outfits when they step outside. To the contrary, in the last year, we've seen some of the most rad outfits which were also coordinated with the mask for a more cohesive 'fit. From Shahid Kapoor's put together airport looks to Ranveer Singh's laid back functional outfits, we've seen some clever styling of outfits with the mask in the last year.
Ranbir Kapoor is another such celebrity who does not disappoint with his 'new normal' outfits. Recently Ranbir Kapoor was spotted outside a clinic in Mumbai. Here's what he was seen wearing:
    View this post on Instagram
Ranbir Kapoor was seen wearing a navy blue shirt with a seemingly strange fitting. With that, he wore a pair of visibly strained in a shade of blue that had marks and tiny rips that ran across the silhouette giving it a 'distressed' look. It was almost as if, it was destroyed in an attempt to give the distressed aesthetic to the jeans. He completed the look with a solid mask and a pair of suede boots in light brown.

ill be seen in few films that have halted productions briefly. These include Karan Malhotra's Shamshera,
Andaz Apna Apna 2 directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the Brahmastra trilogy directed by Ayan Mukherji and Raja Krishna Menon's next to name a few.

Let’s just admit it, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s fielding in the first match of the Indian Premier League against Mumbai Indians was absolutely abysmal.
From allowing multiple lives to Ishan Kishan to dropping Krunal Pandya in the middle overs, nobody, not even the commentators could believe their eyes as names like Mohammed Siraj and Washington Sundar were unable to cup simple catches.
Kohli drops a sitter n Siraj can now breathe a sigh of relief! Rohit Sharma Nitin Menon Suryakumar Yadav Ishan Kishan Glenn Maxwell Chepauk Hardik Pandya pic.twitter.com/24m1jxNBQC
    — Tejas Pujare (@TejasPujare7) April 9, 2021
And while many believe that the excessive dew on the ground has made the ball slippery and argue that the stadium lights got into the eyes of the fielders, therefore making them drop simple dollies, one failed fielding effort created a lot more buzz than the rest.
It was RCB skipper Virat Kohli dropping Krunal Pandya right at mid-on. The ball wasn’t high enough to let the stadium lights and in the replays, it was confirmed that Kohli took his eyes off the ball just before it was supposed to enter his hands.
    OUCH!

Virat Kohli drops a chance as Krunal Pandya smashes the ball at him, the ball bursts through his hands and hits him in the face... he's OK to continue.#MI 153-5 in the 19th. #IPL2021

As soon as Kohli dropped the catch, he started laughing and while nursing his right eye with his hands.
Many fans of the game however felt that Kohli was not actually injured and that he was trying to act his way out of the embarrassment to let such an easy catch go.

    The acting #MIvRCB
    — Pranav. (@pranavkudav) April 9, 2021Unfortunately, it seems as if Kohli’s acting wasn’t as good as his critics thought and the cricketer had actually gotten hurt. Within minutes of the incident, Kohli’s right eye turned red and the area around the eye socket began to swell.
Even then, Kohli did not leave the field and simply changed his position near the boundary rope, where he could access temporary fixes such as an ice pack. As the pictures of Kohli’s injury began to find their way online, more and more fans started to get concerned:
Oh dear...Gangnam dance and a drop.

Worse still, that smashed Kohli just below his right eye.

Nonetheless, some game-saving performances by Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers in the middle order proved to be effective against the bowling attack of the reigning champions and RCB began their 2021 IPL campaign with an exciting 2-wicket victory.

The Indian Premier League is finally back in India after being shipped to the United Arab Emirates for a year due to a severe outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. However, the league has brought along a rather unusual problem this year.
Apparently, many of the fans of the Indian T20 league are completely against the way the new scorecard looks this season.
IPL 2020 scorecard graphics was better than this one. It's looks very weird.
    — Mufaddal Vohra (@mufaddal_vohra) April 9, 2021Okay, who thought it was a good idea to turn the IPL scorecard graphics into a alien spaceship control panel?

    — Aakash Sivasubramaniam (@aakashs26) April 9, 2021Essentially, there are a couple of things about the new template that the fans are complaining about.
They feel that the design covers a lot of the screen unnecessarily and is too wide and broad.
The addition of franchise logos on the extreme ends seems to tick off the fans as well.
Finally, the lifted corners are making the fans feel as if they are looking at an “alien spaceship control”.
And while the resentment towards the new design is strong, there are loads of people who are completely fine with it or believe that it would grow on them eventually.
TBH, This looks way better than last one. Stop complaining about everything.
    — Aditya (@AdityaH_0212) April 9, 2021You will get used to it, don’t worry

The way they show stats of player that's
    — Ravi Desai 🇮🇳 Champion CSK (@its_DRP) April 9, 2021As far as the initial game is concerned, the season opener did not go how Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma would have hoped on an individual level as he got dismissed off a run-out by RCB skipper Virat Kohli following a miscommunication with his opening partner Chris Lynn.
The game also came to an exciting end with Kohli's side winning on the final delivery of the second innings. Harshal Patel's excellent 5/27 stint with the ball earned him the 'Player of the Match' recognition and the RCB started their season yet again on a promising note.
