Using smartphones has now become a daily thing for everyone who is reading this post. However, when using a smartphone, there might be some key things that you might be ignoring or doing that aren't really recommended. There are many common things we do that are considered the worst things you can do without even realising it. Here are some of the most common things people do that they shouldn’t be doing even though it’s not their fault.Β
    1. Skipping UpdatesΒ  Β© Apple
Delaying smartphone updates is a very common thing to do but in essence, it's the worst thing you can do as well. Your smartphone’s operating system and even some apps need occasional updates that are essential for running the smartphone. Some updates can improve battery life while also providing new security features that protect the device from hackers. These updates are released for a reason and if your phone supports it, we highly recommend updating it right away.Β

If you open your smartphone right now, there are probably hundreds of apps that you haven’t really closed. The common assumption is that if you close these apps it might help in saving battery and increase the processing speed of your smartphone. That is one of the biggest myths as apps that you are not using but are open in the background are more like a screenshot of what the app was doing last. There are some exceptions though such instant messaging apps since it delivers texts from your contact in real-time. If you are an iPhone user, closing apps actually drains more battery life as it takes longer to switch between appsΒ if you force quit them.Β

    3. Not Using Third-Party ChargersΒ  Β© MensXP_Akshay Bhalla
There’s a common myth that using the charger that came with your phone is the best way to charge your phone. That could be true for some smartphones, however we will soon see smartphone companies stop giving chargers in the box of the phone. Apple and Samsung have already implemented that strategy and more companies will follow. That’s because we’ve come a long way when it comes to charging standards where most smartphones now support Power Delivery charging. Be it Apple, Samsung or OnePlus, all new devices now support the universal charging protocol. This means you can now buy cheaper PD chargers for your smartphone without having to buy a very expensive charger from OEMs.Β

    4. Thinking Camera Megapixels Mean Better PicturesΒ  Β© MensXP_Akshay Bhalla
The phone megapixel war seems to have started again, thanks to companies like Samsung and Xiaomi now selling smartphones with camera sensors with 108MP resolution. However, smartphones like the Google Pixel and iPhone have proven in the past that the lens quality matters more than the megapixel it supports. Apart from the lens quality, computational photography also makes a huge difference when taking pictures with your smartphone. Software adjustments to images can make your pictures stand out which is currently being used by both Google and Apple.Β

With OTT platforms like Prime Video and Netflix taking over, people have forgotten the charm of the old days when we used to sit on the couch with our families to watch TV shows. If you’re a 90s kid like me, you would completely resonate with these emotions and you would totally agree with the fact that the title tracks of these Indian daily soaps were better than many Bollywood songs.
Here are some amazing tracks from these shows that are still popular among the 90s kids.

1.Β RemixThis was undeniably one of the best Indian teen shows that had sense and an appeal to it. Tia, Ranveer, Anvesha, and Yuvi formed the band Remix and gave us the foot-tapping numbers that are still etched in our memories.

2.Β Left, Right, LeftThe 2006 show,Β Left Right Left, created a stir when it went on air. The show had an amazingly talented ensemble cast including Harshad Chopda, Priyanka Bassi, Arjun Bijlani, Vikas Manaktala, Ghazal Rai, Kunal Karan Kapoor, Aparna Tilak, Shweta Salve, and Gaurav Chopra. The title track was peppy and it was far far better than many Bollywood songs. How we wish this show was aired again.

3.Β Love StoryIf you have seen the show, you would remember that it was shot in Delhi University and it was surely one of the most brilliantly executed romance-dramas. The campus-romance drama starring Mishal Raheja (Akash) and Payal Sarkar (Shruti) in the lead was way ahead of its time. The songΒ Teri YaadienΒ from the show captured the true essence of college romance.

4.Β Dill Mill GayeHum toh chale the dost banke, jaane kahan dill mill gayye!Β Did it ring a bell? Well, the song is still popular among the masses and very much liked by the 90s audience. The show gave the TV industry some popular names like Karan Singh Grover, Shilpa Anand, Drashti Dhami to name a few. Set in the backdrop of Sanjeevani Hospital, the show dealt with the pressures, drama, romance, inter-personal relationships, and humour in the lives of surgical interns and resident doctors.

5.Β Miley Jab Hum TumWhen the internet and OTT platforms didn’t rule, the youth was hooked to shows likeΒ Miley Jab Hum Tum. The serial chronicled the lives of two sisters Nupur and Gunjan who move to Mumbai from a small town. Their daily struggles in the big city and efforts to fit in the elite society struck a chord with many. We also got to meet Mohit Sehgal who played Samrat and he soon became the new crush. The fans got to meet Arjun Bijlani once again. The title track still takes us back to the old days and is one of the most popular tracks among 90s kids.
