    Watching a movie is sometimes a delightful experience, best when shared, but on some days nothing beats watching an intense movie by yourself, with no distractions. If you’re looking to just unwind with a good watch that will also keep your mind moving till the end of the film, then here are 10 intense watches which might help you today:

    1. The Age Of AdalineThis is a hauntingly beautiful movie which is extremely well made. Starring Blake Lively in the titular role, this movie follows the dark dream of staying young all life long. Adaline stopped aging at 29, but watching her loved ones age and succumb to life is an ache she carries all her life.


    2. Ex Machina Well virtual reality is becoming less virtual and more real by the day. In case you have not watched this movie yet, then prepare for some very interesting aesthetics. A young programmer who ends up being a part of a scientific project which involves him studying AI behaviour in a female robot. There's a major problem here though. Love blossoms, and trouble comes calling!

    3. Lucy This is a visual treat for anyone who enjoys experimental cinema. This one has Scarlett Johansson playing Lucy who gains immeasurable physical and mental powers and decides to bring down the bad guys who held her captive.  

    4. Parasite This Oscar winner is on the list for anyone who has still not managed to watch this brilliant satirical which makes you laugh and mock the hybrid layers of hypocrisy in the society.

    5. E.T This childhood treasure is something you can rewatch anytime. The Hindi movie Koi Mil Gaya was inspired by this iconic movie which was way ahead of its time. An extraterrestrial creature befriends a group of children. The story paints some beautiful exchange of emotions between the two living beings and how a bond of love is formed, as the children help this alien go back to his home.

    6. P.S I Love You Well, clichés are called so for a reason because they serve a purpose of doing clichéd stuff right? This is for a lonely night, when you crave for some emotions to flow, and want no one to know as you wipe some tears away and sleep like a baby after that.

    7. Basic Instinct Who can forget this groundbreaking yet controversial movie which changed the way a murder mystery was seen. Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas do a fantastic job in their roles.

    8. Eyes Wide Shut Stanley Kubrick’s intense attempt at peeling off layers of human character and diving deep into the human psyche with Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise playing the lead role of a couple who gets ushered into a secret society , only to unravel some deep secrets and desires of their own.

    9. Shutter Island There is something about watching a Martin Scorsese movie by yourself and then unravelling the addled mind with questions. This gem stars Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role who is a US Marshal at an asylum, trying to understand the secrets of the walls there. Things get twisted when he keeps getting caught in this never ending maze around him.

    10. Interstellar Well, it's not everyday that a sci-fi movie can hold the power to make you emotional. This movie will explain how time is just like oxygen. Fleeting and becoming a valuable resource for humans.

    It was the year 2001, social media, ‘influenza’ culture, travel and fashion bloggers were terms we didn’t even know and life was simpler. An iconic movie, which was way ahead of its time, which led a full revolution of how we perceived men’s fashion (courtesy the jazzy cuts and the ‘goatee’) and established how every group of friends just wanted to end up in Goa, casually released and changed the way we saw life. I am talking about Dil Chahta Hai, a film which was not just a script but an emotion which has continued to stay with us even after 20 years of its release. Here are some lesser-known facts about this epic movie which might surprise you if you’re a true fan:

    1. The original choice of the lead cast was in fact Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan and Akshaye Khanna. When Hrithik and AB didn’t sign up for this wonderful ride, Farhan Akhtar had to legit wait for over 10 months before he could meet Aamir Khan and convince him for this project. Also, Akshaye had originally signed up for playing Akash’s character but things changed after Aamir came on board. Aren’t we all GLAD this happened? Can't imagine anyone who could flawlessly play the role of this pensive painter.

    2. You know about writer's block? Similarly, the wonderful music maestros of this album, Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy were trying to come up with the title song. The three of them, along with Farrhan, went to Lonavla for 4 days to just relax and rattle their minds.  When they came back, the entire soundtrack of the movie was written and planned. We all witnessed the magic that ensued later. 

    3. Talking about the title track in particular, the tune of ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ came to Shankar Mahadevan’s mind when the musical genius was just brushing his teeth one morning. Yeah it was THAT smooth! Also, the words ‘chamkeele din’ were initially not finalised because Farhan thought it sounded like a jingle for a detergent. Little did he know that this music and this movie would go on to give us so many ‘chamkeele din’.

    4. The beautiful scene where Sid is explaining Deepa about how she needs to let go of Akash and the reference of holding sand in our hands is actually a literal ode to Edgar Allen Poe’s poem A Dream Within A Dream.

    5. I remember how I was fascinated with the beauty of Australia and I am pretty sure, this movie became a big reason why so many of us eventually visited the country. But the original script had Akash and Shalini falling in love with each other in New York. Since it was Winter over there, the script shifted the aesthetic background to Australia.

    6. Farhan and Preity first met when she landed in Mumbai for her audition for Kya Kehna. It was at that time that he told her that whenever he would make a film, she would be a part of it.

    7. In case you are wondering how the storyline came into place, then not many people know that it was inspired by Farhan’s trip to Vegas with his friends and a loose script which was handed to him by his friend. Everything got stitched together and DCH happened. 
    8. The visualisations of every song in the movie are remarkable. My personal favourite was the way Wo Ladki Hai Kahan was shot. It was very different and what a refreshing change. While the choreography genius behind this was Farah Khan, the idea of having a film in a film was originally Arjun Bhasin’s idea, who was the costume designer. 

    9. For a movie which was so progressive in that period, it wont come as a surprise to you if I tell you that the original script and dialogues were in fact written in English. 
    10. After the huge success of this movie, Farhan had suggested that he would like to make a sequel to this iconic movie with an all-female cast. Well, it's 20 years and counting, but on the other hand, some things can never be remade, right?

    When we talk about patience, stability, and calmness on the cricket pitch, especially during a gruelling five-day Test cricket match, the first person that comes to mind, arguably has to be Rahul Dravid.

    Over the years, he has become the primary example of how a ‘gentleman of the game should be’. He is classy, down to earth and there are only a handful of times when we’ve seen a frown on his forehead, regardless of how much stress the team must be under.

    Having said that, a new video online has been making people question their entire belief system and having them pinch their arms simply because of the kind of things ‘The Wall’ can be seen doing in it.
    Even the great Virat Kohli , who is known for his theatrics and hotheadedness on the field, is left surprised and absolutely speechless:

    “Never seen this side of Rahul bhai,” Kohli wrote from his official Twitter account.
    In the video advertising a credit card payment application, Dravid can be seen having anger-management issues while being stuck in heavy traffic. Among many, many things that Dravid can be seen doing in the video, the highlights include: 
    Throwing a cup of coffee at the window of an old lady’s car;
    Challenging a random stranger to “come man”;
    Smashing the outside rearview mirrors of the adjacent car with his favourite weapon - a cricket bat (while laughing maniacally);
    Sliding out of his car’s sunroof and yelling “Indiranagar ka gunda hun main”;
    And trying to smash the sh*t out of his own car's steering wheel. 
    Dravid fans were as entertained as Kohli himself and here’s how some of them reacted to the video:

    There is a reason why many of us still remain petrified at the thought of stepping up on the stage and speaking directly to a bunch of people sitting in the audience. 

    You can be speaking on important matters at hand like woman empowerment, gender equality, global warming, or saving dolphins, however, there is still a high chance of there being one or two individuals in the audience who will stop at nothing to make things hard. 
    Well, just to reassure you that you are not alone, something of a similar nature happened with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a recent event. 
    Amid the recent surge in Coronavirus cases across India, PM Modi on Thursday (April 08) held a virtual meeting with the chief ministers of all states in order to address the immediate situation at hand.

    In a recent survey conducted by Piplsay, an American think tank and polling firm, people from all over the political spectrum have agreed on one thing - a vast majority want Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to run for president in 2024.

    Back in 2017, Dwayne had confirmed in an interview that he would indeed like to run for the highest office in the United States of America, after seeing that Donal Trump won quite emphatically. He couched his aspirations in the term “a real possibility if that’s what the people wanted.”

    People had speculated that Dwayne would contest the 2020 election against Trump, after he and Tom Hanks performed a bit for a show, announcing their “campaign.” However, he shut all of those speculations down later, saying that he wasn’t ready - yet.

    There are speculations that indeed if he files his nomination, a showdown between Kanye West and Dwayne Johnson, at least in the initial stages cannot be ruled out.

    It seems like Ranveer Singh is pulling all the stops when it comes to functional outfits. Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit us in the year 2020, things have been going back in forth in terms of adjusting to the 'new normal'. However, one thing that remained constant amid this surge is most people's inclination towards a functional, season-less, and comfortable wardrobe.
    In a pre-pandemic world, Ranveer Singh would leave no stone unturned in exploring all kinds of trends when it came to styling his outfits, from exploring androgynous silhouettes to embracing the street aesthetic, he's done it all. However, in the last year, he too has toned down his outfits and made them more relatable. We believe the primary reason for this sudden shift in his personal style can be attributed to the multiple rounds of lockdowns and spending more time at home than outside.

    On a closer look, it was confirmed that he was wearing the Yeezy 500 High Mist Slate sneakers. They are a recent launch and were dropped in February 2021 and were sold out instantly. They were priced at 220 Dollars which comes down to Rs. 16,000 approximately.
