    Celebrities in India have to maintain a certain aspirational lifestyle so that people follow in their footsteps. It’s not just their movies that help them stand apart but also the expensive assets they invest in. It’s important for them to make such investments to live up to the aspirational lifestyle they portray and with the kind of money they make, they can easily afford these luxuries.
    Here's a list of such expensive things that these Indian male celebs have flaunted in the recent past.

    Shahid Kapoor has been riding high on the success of his two previous movies, Padmavat and Kabir Singh. To celebrate the success, he gifted himself a fancy Ducati Scrambler 1100 for a whopping Rs 11.95 lakh. He loves to flaunt the bike as he frequently posts its images on Instagram and also goes on rides frequently with his friends.

    Ajay Devgn invested in a luxury car that he now drives to work and loves to flaunt. He bought a BMW X7 which comes at a price of close to Rs 1 crore.  
    On the work front, he will appear in the second part of Raid which will revolve around a case inspired by a true story. He will also play the lead in the Hindi version of the Tamil film Kaithi. Ajay will also be seen in a special appearance in Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. He also has Maidaan and The Big Bull in his kitty.

    Ranbir Kapoor, who was spotted by the paparazzi riding his cycle, has spent a whopping Rs 1.46 lakh on it. It’s a MATE X electric foldable bike. And according to online reports, the bike comes with a powerful motor of 1000w, hi-torque 48V battery, Shimano 8-SPD shifting, TEKTRO disc brakes, and more. The bike is surely one of the coolest we have ever seen.

    The Indian Premier League is just three days away from returning to Indian soil and with the change in location, some of the previously successful teams that failed to do well in the United Arab Emirates will hope to make a strong comeback as well.
    At the top of this list has to be the three-time IPL champions, Chennai Super Kings, who ended up finishing the 2020 season second-last in the points table, despite making it to the final a season ago in 2019.
    And while CSK made some great moves during the mini-auction ahead of the 14th edition of the tournament, former Indian cricketer and analyst, Gautam Gambhir feels that the franchise will end up having yet another disappointing year.

    In a video interview with ESPNcricinfo, Gambhir said that by the end of the regular season, CSK would find themselves at the No. 5 spot, which would render the ‘Whislte Podu’ out of the playoffs for the second consecutive year after successfully making it to the Top-4 for every season before 2020.
    Interestingly, Gambhir’s unfavourable prediction for the MS Dhoni-led side has had a calming effect on the CSK fans, who are rather happy with what he had to say.

    It has been a below-the-radar running gag with the Indian cricket fans who troll the southpaw for getting his predictions wrong in the past and whatever the cricketer had said, the exact opposite of it has happened.
    One of the greatest examples of such an occurrence comes from the IPL 2020 Final between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in which Gambhir had picked Marcus Stoinis as the captain of his fantasy league team.

    And while the Australian was in marvelous form throughout the season with the ball and the bat, he not only ended up as the most expensive bowler for DC in the final but also gave up his wicket on a golden duck.
    Some of the other cricket experts who predicted CSK’s result at the end of the season involved Aakash Chopra, Sanjay Manjrekar, and Ian Bishop.
    While Chopra and Manjrekar echoed Gambhir’s opinion and also felt that CSK will end up missing out on the playoffs, Bishop said that the team will find itself at the No. 4 spot.

    It has been long rumoured that Apple has been working on a foldable iPhone behind closed doors but we won’t be seeing a new device before they are ready to launch. Apple usually takes its time to perfect new technology before implementing it on a mass-market product. That’s a problem that has been plaguing the foldable smartphone right now as we saw with the first iteration of the Galaxy Fold.

    Believe it or not, the main concern about foldable smartphones is still the fragile nature of screens. It is the only component that has a higher chance of failing than any other hardware component. The first foldable phone had two defects which forced Samsung to work on the problem and fix the issues and relaunch the device six months later. 

    However, it seems like Apple may have found a solution to better protect the foldable display thanks to a new patent discovered by Patently Apple. Apple is reportedly working on a new screen tech that would offer better protection to devices against cracks. The patent application by Apple has been titled Hybrid coverlay/window structure for flexible display applications which you can see for yourself here. The patent is a continuation of previous patents filed by the Cupertino giant that could prevent damage to foldable screens:
    “Embodiments describe display modules and protective cover layer structures. In particular, embodiments describe protective cover layer structures that may be implemented in curved, flexible, conformable and foldable display modules, and in particular with curved, flexible, conformable and foldable display panels. Various embodiments are described in which a hardcoat layer is applied to a transparent support substrate to form a protective cover layer structure. The hardcoat layer may be characterized as possessing a lower elastic modulus, higher elongation-to-break and optionally a lower hardness than the transparent support substrate. In one aspect, such a hybrid structure may prevent cracks from forming in the transparent support substrate. In another aspect, such a hybrid structure may move the neutral plane of protective cover layer so that the surfaces of the transparent support substrate see a lower strain upon bending.”

    The patent also showed off images of a device that folds both inwards and outwards. Apple is still unsure about which style of folding it would use for the foldable iPhone as the company is reportedly testing both types of foldable designs. We could see an iPhone similar to the Galaxy Fold or the Galaxy Z Flip.

    The patent shows that the foldable screen would have a cover layer that would sit atop the display. This layer would protect the display against cracks as seen in existing foldable smartphones already. The protective layer might be made of ceramic particles on top of a hard display cover made of sapphire and glass. The particle filler would be dispersed in a polymer matrix according to the patent. 

    There are other details in the patent that we recommend reading if you want to know what Apple is up to. Having said that, since the information is based on a patent, there is no way to determine when we would actually see Apple implement this in the future. There is no indication whether Apple would ever implement this innovation in a commercial product either. However, it does paint a clearer picture of Apple’s plan to develop the tech required to mass-produce a sturdy foldable iPhone.

    Vijay Deverakonda loves his sneakers. This is a fact that he has proven time and again when he was seen wearing some of the most sought after kicks just days after they were released.

    In fact, we can safely say that some of the sneakers that he has been seen wearing were so unique and outlandish that sneakerheads all over the country couldn’t help but drool over them.

    Well, very recently, he did something similar again. Vijay was recently seen at the Mumbai Airport wearing a rather dope looking pair of sneakers that legit look like they were shaped after clouds.

    Before we take a look at his sneakers, let’s take a deep dive into the outfit that he’s wearing.

    Vijay is seen here in a very basic looking blue coloured long-sleeved T-shirt, along with a basic, but suave looking pair of khaki shorts. Along with that, he has got a black coloured mask and a rather sweet looking bracelet.

    The outfit is simplistic, and minimal, which seems to work rather well for Vijay. We also like the way he has styled his hair in a very carefree, devil-may-care sort of way.

    We wish he had accessorised a bit more, but then, he does look quite dapper in the manner in which he has styled himself.

    The thing that stands out the most in this outfit has to be the sneakers that he’s seen wearing here. Now, we have seen white sneakers, and coke white sneakers before, but never have we seen anything like this.

    The sneakers that Vijay is wearing are the Adidas Yeezy 450 in Cloud White, a brand new line of Yeezy’s that have been designed by Kanye West himself.

    Back in early 2020, Kanye was seen wearing these sneakers, for the Yeezy show during Paris Fashion Week. That was just the prototype.

    These kicks actually launched in March of this year, and within one day of their release, these sneakers sold out. Originally, they were listed for just $200, or Rs 14,600.

    Now though, they resell for about 2-4 times their original price. As per StockX, they normally sell for $459, or Rs 33,500. Heck, at one point in time, people actually paid $950 or Rs 71,000.

    All in all, Vijay’s choice of sneakers is really something special. Kudos, man, seriously, those sneakers were an awesome choice.
