An Australian-Italian team used a Murchison Widefield Array (MWA) telescope to discover one of the most mysterious anomalies in space. The jellyfish-shaped cluster was discovered in a galaxy known as Abell 2877. The massive entity extends for more than one million light-years and is made of plasma. From Earth’s perspective, the entity looks abnormally like a Jellyfish which is why it has been bestowed the name “USS Jellyfish.”

Study lead and PhD candidate Torrance Hodgson, from the Curtin University node of the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) said the team observed the cluster for 12 hours at different radio frequencies. In fact, the USS Jellyfish can only be viewed at a very narrow band of low frequencies under 200 Mhz. The reason why it has gone unnoticed for so long is that the cluster is invisible to most radio telescopes in the world. It is also the reason why the cluster is called “USS Jellyfish” where the abbreviation stands for Ultra-Steep-Spectrum.

“As you turn up the frequency dial, its brightness drops off exponentially, quickly rendering it completely undetectable to conventional, higher-frequency radio telescopes,” Hodgson said in the academic paper.

The scientists explain that the USS Jellyfish phenomenon is due to a very rare sequence of events that played out over two billion years ago. The Jellyfish structure is scattered between galaxies that may have contained energetic cores referred to as active galactic nuclei (AGN). These nuclei emit massive amounts of light and massive black holes at the centers of each galaxy.

"Then quite recently, two things happened -- the plasma started mixing at the same time as very gentle shock waves passed through the system. This has briefly reignited the plasma, lighting up the jellyfish and its tentacles for us to see” the paper said.

The MWA telescope, a precursor to the Square Kilometre Array (SKA)  is located at the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory in remote Western Australia. The site has now been chosen for the construction of low-frequency antennas for the SKA. The SKA will give researchers an unparalleled view of the low-frequency Universe according to Professor Johnston-Hollitt, Mr. Hodgson’s supervisor and co-author.

As the fight to tackle the problem of Coronavirus continues to cripple the entire world, all countries are trying to do their best to control the pandemic. While India had previously been ranked on good numbers in comparison to many countries as far as battling this was concerned, the recent spike in 11 states across the nation has worried the government. Since Delhi is the capital city, it is seemingly economically impossible for the Centre to impose a lockdown. Yesterday, CM Arvind Kejriwal announced that a curfew will be imposed from 10 PM to 5 AM in Delhi until 30th April. Many party-goers and ‘gedi’ lovers were sad to hear that. Today, the Delhi High Court has passed a new declaration that wearing a mask while driving alone is also compulsory now. The idea behind this is that since vehicles are moving in public places, everyone is still under the risk of being exposed to the virus.
Delhi High Court rules mask mandatory even if a person is driving alone. It states that a mask acts as a 'suraksha kavach' which would prevent the spread of COVID19. pic.twitter.com/litzyIQ4iN
    — ANI (@ANI) April 7, 2021
The ruling has confused the ‘janta’ of the state and people are very confused why one should wear a mask while driving alone. Naturally, they had to express how they feel with some memes.
Delhi High Court: compulsory to wear mask Even if a person is driving alone in the car.

    — VAIBHAV ANITA SINGH (@Vaibhvtweets) April 7, 2021 Some people were just filled with rage and confusion and had some very legit questions to ask.
These are laws passed in parliament and being enforced. Hows wearing a mask same? Next you gonna hear is its a mst to wear pp kits all time, carry a ventilator in ur car cuz its a protective thing.
And why just in public why not at home too? There r laws against domestic violence
    — Lastaccblkmara:( (@shyammeranaam) April 7, 2021In a private vehicle if u r alone then what's the need of a mask?
Don't they know that mask has also some harmful effects if we use it for too long. Judiciary needs to look into this matter again. Think rationally Delhi High court. 🏻
    — Shubam (@B_shubam) April 7, 2021If a Pvt car is a public place, does that mean anyone can enter into my car without my permission? #DelhiHighCourt #mask #india #covid #Delhi https://t.co/6MEZjCA4yx
    — RPG (@rahoolgupta) April 7, 2021 Also, some were quick to point out that while the ‘aam admi’ shall suffer and end up paying fines for not wearing masks while driving alone, what penalties are the party leaders paying for hosting rallies with not a single mask in sight.
Wearing mask when driving alone in a car is mandatory by law in New Delhi.

Election rallies with thousands without masks does not raise any eyebrows in India.
    — Aditya Raj Kaul (@AdityaRajKaul) April 7, 2021And the honorable courts don't say anything to the protestors who have been crowding and blocking roads. Don't say anything to political parties for massive rallies.

No rule for the mob. Catch hold of an individual and show your power. With all due respect!
    — Swami (@imswami) April 7, 2021Yes person alone in car must alwar a mask but political rallies dont require it? Courts also now insulate political events from its purview? Or in new normal courts are governed by govt?
    — Cynical Eye (@Pseudoidealist) April 7, 2021The court has explained that the mask acts as a ‘suraksha kavach’ and hence must be worn by the driver. Are you ready to put on a mask and click a ‘maskfie’ while driving alone, sweating it out in the heat and chant ‘go corona go’ as Delhi’s traffic moves slowly around you? Anmol Ambani, the eldest son of Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani, has called out the Maharashtra government's lockdown restrictions for favoring "professional" film stars, cricketers, and politicians while overlooking the livelihood of the masses.

The 29-year-old Director of Reliance Capital hit out at the government's decision to restrict the work of businesses and other working groups while offering leeway to more privileged classes.
Taking to Twitter, he said the steps were more about establishing a sense of control from the government.
Professional ‘actors’ can continue shooting their films. Professional ‘cricketers’ can play their sport late into the night. Professional ‘politicians’ can continue their rallies with masses of people. But YOUR business or work is not ESSENTIAL. Still don’t get it?
    — Anmol A Ambani (@anmol_ambani) April 5, 2021 Coining the term "Scamdemic", Ambani said in a tweet, "What does essential even mean? EACH INDIVIDUALS WORK IS ESSENTIAL TO THEM."
What does essential even mean? EACH INDIVIDUALS WORK IS ESSENTIAL TO THEM. #scamdemic
    — Anmol A Ambani (@anmol_ambani) April 5, 2021 He also took a jibe at actors, sportsmen, and politicians holding large gatherings during rallies by stating, "Professional ‘actors’ can continue shooting their films. Professional ‘cricketers’ can play their sport late into the night. Professional ‘politicians’ can continue their rallies with masses of people. But YOUR business or work is not ESSENTIAL.  Still don’t get it?"

    — Anmol A Ambani (@anmol_ambani) April 6, 2021Amid the tsunami of Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra recently, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday (April 4) announced his decision to impose complete lockdown across the state on the weekends.
The lockdown will start from 8 PM on Friday (April 09) and will remain effective till 7 AM on Monday (April 12). Other than that, section 144 and night curfew will be imposed on weekdays.
As per reports, under the new guidelines, barring essential services shops, grocery shops, and medical shops, all other stores, markets, and shopping malls will remain shut till April 30.
Cinema halls, parks, museums, and all religious places will also remain closed for public gatherings in order to curb the spread of the virus, which infected around 55,000 people in the state on Wednesday.
Apart from eateries with take away and parcel services, all restaurants will also remain closed under the new guidelines.
While the government believes that its new restrictions will lead to tackling the recent surge in Coronavirus cases in the state, Anmol Ambani labeled it a "very sinister plan" and said that it has nothing to do with the health of the people.
Ambani's dig comes at the back of Bollywood biggies like Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, and Vicky Kaushal contracting the coronavirus this past week.
Following Ambani's stand with the general public and local businesses across the state, his tweets went viral on the microblogging platform, with people also choosing to voice their opinions.
Well said. We need a clarion call for right to livelihood. This lockdown mania has gone too far. No balance, no logic, no data, no science. While Covid is a dangerous disease (for some), there are way too many other concerns in India (for the majority). pic.twitter.com/SjabwH2Bss
    — Bhaskaran Raman (@br_cse_iitb) April 7, 2021I feel for the restaurants, eateries especially road side whose basic earnings is during night time sales. Second lockdown is nonsensical when we know what precautions and SOP needs to be followed.
    — Capt. Ashutosh (@AshutshMn) April 7, 2021Govt has done nothing to control the virus. Now another lock down has been imposed..only in the state of Maharashtra.
    — Aparajita Deshpande (@daparajita) April 7, 2021About time we start fighting for our rights and freedom of movement as per constitution.
Too much damage is already done in the name of social distancing when the countrys government can't even control itself.
    — Sathish (@Sathish70366760) April 6, 2021@uddhavthackeray please🏼 define essential.. if not Covid people will anyways die of money problems!
    — Sameer K (@KumamekarSameer) April 7, 2021well articulated, grt 2 c someone frm elite business class speaking like a common citizen.Yes indeed it's a authoritative kind of governance where v r told daily what is gud/ bad for us , as if all wisdom is with govt only.
Definition of essential is relative !
    — Aziz Ahmad (@AazyAhmad) April 7, 2021 While some agreed with Ambani's take on the Lockdown restrictions, others said it was the way forward.
Very correct, I do agree to yr concern but at the same time it is the people who hv to understand the fact of the virus erupted in this 2nd wave which is dangerous. All those (whi you mentioned)has to make sure &come frwd to save people of Nation. The way MP CM & Yogiji doing
    — kashyap vaishnav (@kashyapvaishnav) April 6, 2021I get your anger. But essential from a consumer point of view. Example : a coffee shop or a fashion boutique isn’t an essential activity for a consumer.
    — Pushkar Ambekar (@pushkarambekar) April 6, 2021 Some also stressed how the only way to curb the crisis was through vaccination for all.
What govt is attempting is create a perception of doing something given covid is infecting n ppl r dead, but only scientific solution is to vaccinate, allow people who can afford to buy vaccine at whatever price atleast it frees one vaccine for some1 else, remove age limits

In a heartbreaking video released on social media, the five-year-old daughter of CRPF soldier Rakeshwar Singh Manhas, who was reportedly kidnapped by Naxals during an ambush in Chhattisgarh, pleaded for her father to be released.

At least 22 soldiers were killed and 31 were injured in an encounter between security personnel and Naxals along the Sukma-Bijapur border on Saturday (April 03).
As per reports, more than 400 soldiers were ambushed by the PLGA platoon of the Maoists in the jungles near the Jonnaguda village in Chhattisgarh
The security personnel killed in the gunbattle included officers from the CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and the District Reserve Guard (DRG).
While the local police recovered the bullet-riddled bodies of the soldiers, Naxals claimed that they had kidnapped CoBRA commando Rakeshwar Singh Manhas.
The Naxal Group released a press note on Tuesday (April 06) in which it confirmed the loss of four comrades along with Manhas' capture.

While the Naxals ensured that Manhas was safe and sound, they said he will only be released once the government sends a party to negotiate the release.
The news of the abduction was clearly a terrifying one for Manhas' family, who last had contact with him on Friday (April 02) at 9.30 pm when he was leaving for duty.
In what was a heart-wrenching moment, Shragvi, Manhas' five-year-old daughter requested the Naxals for her father's safe return.
"Please, release my father," requested the teary-eyed Shragvi, while sitting next to family members and other relatives.

The cries of Shragvi and her family members clearly seemed to unsettle viewers who watched the video on social networking websites and on news channels.
Soon, Manhas' family pleas were echoed all around Twitter, with viewers requesting for the CoBRA soldier to be reunited with his loved ones.

The duo of powerful couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have provided the fans with numerous fun and adorable moments over the past three and a half years since the news of their marriage first broke out.
And even though the two have managed to live a relatively private life together when compared to some of the other power-couples of the country, every once in a while they share some perky instances of their lives with their social media family.
View this post on InstagramOn Wednesday, Sharma shared yet another such playful video in which she was seen with the Team India skipper in the middle of a photo shoot. As the camera crew looked to take a small break between shots, the actor decided to display her strength on camera.
Hugging Kohli from behind, she wrapped her arms around him tightly and lifted him in one go without breaking a sweat.
View this post on Instagram“Oh, teri!!” exclaimed Kohli in absolute amazement while hanging a couple of inches above the ground, in the tight grip of his wife.
Sharma, herself could not believe how strong she was and felt that Kohli was boosting himself in the air by giving himself a little bit of a push off the ground as she picked him up but the cricketer told him frankly that he was doing no such thing.
Trying to give the lift another shot, Sharma wrapped her arms around Kohli once again and picked him up like a baby with absolute ease before gently placing him on the ground and flexing her biceps for the frame as the Indian captain walked away completely startled.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli became parents early this year when they gave birth to their first child, Vamika in January. And even though the couple wish to keep their daughter away from the “public eye” they shared a glimpse of her in yer another Instagram post.
View this post on Instagram“We have lived together with love , presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one , Vamika has taken it to a whole new level ! Tears , laughter , worry , bliss - emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes ! Sleep is elusive but our hearts are SO full Thanking you all for your wishes , prayers and good energy,” Sharma wrote in the caption while introducing their child to the world.
