ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan took to Twitter on Tuesday to hit out at the ruling family for what he said were ?false accusations? in the disqualification case lodged against him in the Supreme Court.

?I want to thank Sharifs & their lackeys for their false accusations ag me which allowed me to dig out my 40-yr financial records,? Khan tweeted.

?And thereby present myself for accountability before the nation. The same accountability process has exposed Sharif clan's financial crimes,? he said.

"Of money laundering, tax evasion, assets concealment plus crimes of forgery and perjury. Sharifs stand totally exposed before nation today," he continued.

The Supreme Court is hearing a disqualification case against Khan and PTI?s Jehangir Tareen for ?not declaring their assets to the Election Commission of Pakistan and alleged violations of the lncome Tax Ordinance 1979 and Peoples Act 1974?. The petition, filed by PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi, also terms the PTI a ?foreign funded party?.

The PTI chief has also previously criticised media reports comparing his ?failure? to submit a money trail for his properties to the Sharif family?s case in the apex court.

Attempting to bring the facts in front of the public, Khan has said his former wife, Jemima, provided bank accounts' details in the apex court showing how the funds from the London flat's sale came into Pakistan.

The PTI chief has also displayed the documents he submitted to the court, claiming they prove how he earned money as a cricketer and brought it into Pakistan.
