<p>A security camera caught one of the most disturbing videos of a woman's e-cigarette catching fire in her bag. The woman was unhurt by the fire but you can see in the video how she throws the bag on the floor after the explosion.</p> <p>The incident occurred at Ploschad Pobedy underground station in Minsk last weekend at the CCTV footage released shows a bright burst of light from the woman's purse. The fire was put out by a metro worker and the video clearly shows the intensity of the fire. </p> <p>Much like smartphones, electronic cigarettes are powered by a lithium-ion battery and tend to overheat due to high external temperatures. There have been many cases of e-cigarette explosions in the past year that have been caused due to similar reasons. The Galaxy Note 7 was also a victim of overheating batteries which caused Samsung to conduct a worldwide recall.</p> <p>E-cigarettes are manufactured by many companies which implement the lithium-ion battery to heat up the liquid for smoking purposes. Some enthusiasts even use different mods and builds which can also be a cause of these bursts and fires if not administered correctly and safely. </p> <p>Earlier this year in January, a man claimed that his e-cigarette exploded while he was using the smoking device and caused the loss of seven of his teeth.
