Senior Pakistan Muslim League ? Nawaz leader Khawaja Saad Rafique in his reaction to the Supreme Court`s decision to disqualify Nawaz Sharif tweeted that articles 62 and 63 should not be applicable only to the country's politicians.

In another tweet, he took a jibe at Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stating that Imran Khan was too quick to rejoice the SC's decision and he will soon regret his 'mistake.'

The former railway minister further claimed to have 'built Pakistan that our [PML-N] elders laid their lives for,' adding that just like the elders suffered at the hands of the British, they [PML-N] suffer at the hands of dictators.

In a press conference with PML-N leaders on Friday, Rafique had claimed that Sharif was not disqualified on the basis of Panama Papers and added that it was not the first time that PML-N was made to bear the brunt of 'such tactics.'

"Imran Khan, you are nothing more than a pawn," he said.

Rafique further said that the PTI chief had repeatedly tried to oust the PML-N government and used every trick he knows to do so.

The minister claimed that Nawaz and PML-N have been punished for bringing China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to the country in the same way that they were 'punished for conducting nuclear tests in 1998.'
