<p>We in India are surrounded by a range of strong smells all the time – from the tadka in the kitchen to the garbage bags lying on the street outside. God knows what happens if you have to walk past a dumping house. And when it rains, all the sewers outside your house decide to make their presence felt, drowning the beautifully fragrance of the wet earth. It's safe to say we Indians have a pretty strong nose and gut by now and are immune to the foulest of smells.</p> <p class="articleimg"><img id="ed-img" class="art-lazy anim-gif imwidth-500" title="India Imported Stink Bombs But They Aren't Smelly Enough For Us" data-gif_image="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Aug/gif-1-1501582064.gif" data-original="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Aug/gif-1-1501582064.gif" alt="India Imported Stink Bombs But They Aren't Smelly Enough For Us" src="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Aug/gif-1-1501582064.gif" /></p> <p>The Indian government probably didn't factor in this when it ordered ‘stink bombs' from Israel. Considering how the pellet guns in Kashmir caused much loss of life, leaving many with permanent injuries, the government is opting for milder weapons now, and the stink bombs were part of this agenda.</p> <p class="articleimg"><img id="ed-img" class="art-lazy imwidth-full" title="India Imported Stink Bombs But They Aren't Smelly Enough For Us" data-original="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Aug/india-imported-stink-bombs-but-they-aren-rsquo-t-smelly-enough-for-us2-1501582078.jpg" alt="India Imported Stink Bombs But They Aren't Smelly Enough For Us" src="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Aug/india-imported-stink-bombs-but-they-aren-rsquo-t-smelly-enough-for-us2-1501582078.jpg" />© Reuters</p> <p>A stink bomb comes in the form of a liquid that can be sprayed from a water cannon onto a protesting crowd; it produces the combined smell of a decomposing human bodies and decaying sewage matter. The smell is said to be so powerful that it lingers on for days. </p> <p>Sounds like your most gross nightmare? Not really; the bomb was tested on a group of CRPF personnel and civilians and…nothing happened. Nobody fainted from the bad smell, nobody panicked, nobody tried to run away. Man, this bomb really stinks!</p> <p class="articleimg"><img id="ed-img" class="art-lazy imwidth-full" title="India Imported Stink Bombs But They Aren't Smelly Enough For Us" data-original="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Aug/india-imported-stink-bombs-but-they-aren-rsquo-t-smelly-enough-for-us3-1501582097.jpg" alt="India Imported Stink Bombs But They Aren't Smelly Enough For Us" src="http://media.new.mensxp.com/media/content/2017/Aug/india-imported-stink-bombs-but-they-aren-rsquo-t-smelly-enough-for-us3-1501582097.jpg" />© Reuters</p> <p>One of the officials from the testing squad told HT, "Maybe Indians have a higher threshold of tolerating stench." Of course, we do. If we can survive a one-hour ride in the metro or the local trains in the peak of summer, with sweaty bodies clinging to each other, we can survive any stink bomb.</p>
