The increasing amount of road accidents in Japan courtesy of elderly motorists is turning into a menace for the Japanese police and after numerous attempts; they seem to have come up with a suitable solution that might be beneficial. Now, elderly drivers can get discounts on ramen noodles if they surrender their driverβs license.Β

Around 17 million Japanese drivers are above the age of 65 and it only makes sense they surrender their licenses, rather than just continuing to drive out of pride. If only every country had such interesting perks for giving up driving when one hits 65, this world could get rid of unwanted accidents pretty soon. Imagine someone giving old citizens free butter chicken for life here in India, if they surrender their licenses and give up driving for good. We can only hope, right?
