NASA Replies To This 9-Year-Old 'Guardian Of The Galaxy' Who Wants To Save Earth From Aliens

In our growing years, our primary concerns were to finish our homework, convince our parents to play with friends, hide that broken plate or our hands after playing with mud, or to get our moms to buy one extra chocolate or a pack of chips. But kids these days are clearly not satisfied preoccupying their minds with such meager thoughts. They want to do much more and bring about a positive change by contributing to the society, even if it means saving the earth from aliens and this 9-year-old kid seems to be the torchbearer of this hardworking generation.

After NASA announced that they are looking for a ‘Planetary Protection Officer', Jack Davis, a 9-year-old self-proclaimed ‘Guardian of the Galaxy' decided to throw his name in the bowl of applicants. Jack believes that he is fit for this job, partly because his sister says he is an alien, he likes to play video games and also because he is young so he can think like an alien. Jack writes in his letter, “I have seen almost all the space and alien movies I can see, I have also seen the show ‘Marvel Agents of Shield' and hope to see the movie ‘Men In Black'”.

When someone sends in such a cute application, how can it not drop on the right ears? However, unfortunately the position was slightly less dramatic and not really involved aliens. So when NASA came across Jack's application, they broke this news in the best way possible. The job is to protect Earth from tiny microbes found in the samples brought back from the Moon, asteroids and Mars. “It's also about protecting other planets and moons from our germs as we responsibly explore the Solar System,” said James L. Green, NASA's Planetary Science Division director.

Well, we don't know about the planetary officer, but if our world ever gets invaded by aliens, we would want Jack to be the leader of that mission.
