Amitabh Bachchan Joins The Specially-Abled Kids To Sing Our National Anthem Using Sign Language

As India completes 70 years of Independence, the Ministry of Human Resource Development kick started the celebrations in the most beautiful way ever with a soulful rendition of the national anthem. The HRD ministry released a video a few days ago, featuring actor Amitabh Bachchan and many specially-abled children singing along with him.

Set in the backdrop of the Red Fort, this video features Bachchan, who is joined by some kids, singing the national anthem using sign language. Another reason why this rendition is a special one is because the background score was composed by Aadesh Shrivastava, the renowned Bollywood music composer who passed away two years ago. The video is directed by veteran filmmaker Govind Nihalani and the concept was created by Satish Kapoor, founder and director of We Care Film Festival. Check out the beautiful version here.

In fact, Mahendra Nath Pandey, the Minister of State for HRD reportedly praised PM Narendra Modi for his efforts and said, “Modi has a vision that India's development will be complete when our ‘divyangjan' become an integral part of it and come forward in the nation building.” He further called for creating an environment where the specially-abled people can “earn a livelihood and live an independent life like any other citizen.”

Well no matter how many versions of our National Anthem are made, this will always be the most heart-warming and emotional rendition and close to our hearts.
