Trevor Noah is the host of The Daily Show, where he replaced John Stewart earlier this year since he retired. He had been covering the US election in a very sardonic manner and his show was one of the most watched on American television during that period.
However, his recent episode titled βIrony of Indiaβ, Trevor Noah criticised the demonetisation scheme that was recently enacted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Some of his comments were just simply distasteful and he was trying too hard to be funny.
He even tried to make fun of the recent Supreme Court directive that made it compulsory for every cinema hall to play the National Anthem before the screening of every movie. Sometimes, we understand that comedians like to poke fun at everything controversial but this latest episode of βThe Daily Showβ was not really that funny and his arguments were simply pointless.
