After A Resounding Win, Virat Kohli Has A Day Out With The 'Gentle Giants' In Sri Lanka

Following a 3-0 win in the Test series, the Indian cricket team kickstarted their campaign in the five-match ODI series with a dominating nine-wicket win against Sri Lanka in Dambulla. A 132-run knock from Shikhar Dhawan and another 82-run innings from Virat Kohli ensured India reached the mediocre total of 216 runs with 127 balls to spare.

While Rohit Sharma failed to make a mark on his return to the Indian squad, Dhawan and Kohli continued to torment the Lankan bowlers with an unbeaten 197-run partnership for the second wicket. Considered a cricketing giant on the field, Kohli was put in the shadows off it.

While Kohli is surely having a gala time after a good start to the five-match ODI series, his Sri Lankan counterparts will be sweating it out in the nets as they gear up to comeback strong in the second match at the Pallekele International Cricket stadium in Balagolla on 24 August.
