This Man Took Going Cashless So Seriously That He Wrote A Rs 5 Cheque To A Public Toilet

The consequences of demonetisation are all around us and amidst the various situations and incidents that have been coming to light, some have been funny and some have been pretty saddening. While the government is urging us to go cashless and use plastic money, the value of Rs. 10, 50 and 100 notes have gone up. Suddenly a 5-rupee coin is a prized possession. One such funny incident is doing the rounds on social media. A user took to Facebook to post a picture of a 5 rupee cheque that was given to a public toilet in Madurai in Tamil Nadu.

It is not known how authentic this is, but it highlights a situation that is funny but points out the current sad reality. The country has been asked to go cashless but then desperate times call for desperate measures. Imagine issuing a cheque for 10 bucks the next time you need to buy a chocolate!
