Dwayne βThe Rock' Johnson saves lives on-screen, and now he's also saving lives off-screen.
Jacob O'Connor, a 10-year old from Detroit, saw his saw his baby brother's shoe floating in the pool first, then he saw his body. Just a week before the incident, Jacob had last watched his favourite movie βSan Andreas', a disaster movie starring Dwayne βThe Rock' Johnson rescuing his family from two hours of tragedy β an earthquake, a tsunami and, most relevant to Jacob, a near-drowning.
In the movie, Johnson's character pulls out his unconscious daughter from floodwaters, and gives her CPR.

So, keeping that scene in mind, Jacob pulled out his 2-year old brother from the pool and proceeded to lay him on the deck. While talking to The Washington Post, Jacob said, βThe movie just popped up in my head and I started thinking about that scene. And that's when I started doing the compressions.β

Jacob then said that he kept pushing and pushing until his brother, Dylan's βheart started pumping.β
Thanks to Jacob's bravery and quick thinking, Dylan only spent a day in the hospital and has made a complete recovery. Jacob is now being hailed as a hero, and rightly so, by his family, local law enforcement and Johnson himself.
