Inquiry under way into ?corruption? at Multan?s Nishtar Hospital

Nishtar Hospital, Multan MULTAN: Five people have been arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in relation to an ongoing inquiry over corruption at Multan?s Nishtar Hospital.
Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, after learning of ?corruption worth millions? in purchasing of medicines at the hospital, has ordered a detailed investigation into the matter.
A notification issued on August 26 stated that the internal audit wing director of the department of specialized healthcare and medical education, Sarfraz Ahmed, has been directed to conduct an investigation and submit a report on the matter to the chief minister.

The individuals arrested by the FIA include the hospital?s store in-charge.
