Bloomberg got their hands on some pictures of the next iPhone and derived some information about how it would function. We are already familiar with the new model and some of its features however, some new details have recently come to the surface. The iPhone 8 is set to function without the home button and here's what Bloomberg has to say about it.

The images revealed that the iPhone 8 will have very thin bezels and will sport a screen that will be larger in size as compared to the iPhone 7. The device is said to have facial recognition technology which will work using the front-facing camera that will be contained at the top of the screen. The iPhone 8 is also rumoured to have a glass bar and a larger power button. According to Bloomberg, the iPhone 8 will also have a redesigned app dock which will work similar to the iPad iOS 11 dock.

Having said that, the biggest change the iPhone will face is the removal of the home button. The home button is now going to be ditched and will instead work with gestures. The bottom of the screen will have a thin bar that can swipe up to open the phone and also to fire the multitasking interface when unlocked. And without a home button, how do we access Siri? ‘Hey Siri' isn't always reliable. Perhaps Apple will simply include a new button for Siri on the dock?
