If you ever fantasised slaying zombies in your city streets, you won't have to wait for long as the next Walking Dead game is going to use Augmented Reality for their next release. The mobile game will be a location based experience where users will encounter zombies just like how players encounter characters in 'Pokemon Go'. The game is called “The Walking Dead: Our World” and is currently under development.

AMC says “the game will enable players to fully immerse themselves into the action of the hit TV show by blending digital objects, such as characters and other game elements, with the players' own environment.”

The game trailer does not show any gameplay as of not, however, it does show players fighting off the Walkers in places like a hospital or a convenience store. You will use guns, grenades and an entire arsenal of weapons to defend yourself against virtual zombies. You will also be aided by characters from the TV show, including Rick, Daryl, and Michonne.

“The fans love how the show encourages you to ask, ‘What would I do in a zombie apocalypse?', and in this game we aim to let players explore this hypothetical in a way they've never experienced before,” Next CEO Teemu Huuhtanen said in a statement. “AR enables players to live through the fight for survival in a whole new way in their familiar surroundings.”

There is no word on the release date as of now, however, 'Our World'  will be coming to both iOS and Android when the game is ready. You can watch the trailer and let us know what you think in the comments section.
