The son of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari termed the verdict in the murder case of his mother ?disappointing and unacceptable.?

Bilawal took to Twitter to state that the decision was not only unjust but also dangerous and the PPP would explore legal options.

Earlier, the daughters of the former prime minister also expressed their reservations regarding the verdict.

Aseefa Bhutto Zardari stressed that there would be no justice until former military dictator General (retd) Pervez Musharraf answered for his crimes.

Assefa?s older sister Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari also called for the arrest of Pervez Musharraf.

After nearly ten years, on Thursday an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) announced the verdict in the murder case of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

Former military dictator General (retd) Pervez Musharraf was declared an absconder in the case and the ATC ordered the seizure of his property.

Five accused in the case were acquitted while two former policemen Saud Aziz, who was the police chief in Rawalpindi at the time of Bhutto?s assassination, and former Rawal Town SP Khurram Shahzad, were sentenced to 17 years each and ordered to pay a fine of Rs0.5 million each.Β
