Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup 

The Powerpuff Girls are expanding their ranks with an all-new fourth member, who will help the trio fight the crime in their new film.

Cartoon Network is all set to unveil the as-yet-unnamed fourth Powerpuff girl in the premiere episode of the five-part movie event, The Powerpuff Girls: Power of Four, airing Sunday, September 17, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The super-powered, genetically modified trio of Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles will unite in the film to battle the forces of evil threatening the city of Townsville ? but this time with some extra help.

Some fans, however, were quick to point out that a fourth member will be nothing new, as the girls already created a sister in an old school episode.
