KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan convener Farooq Sattar rubbished on Saturday the allegations that he is in contact with party founder and Pak Sarzameen Party Head Mustafa Kamal.

While responding to the allegations levelled by ex-party leader Salman Mujahid Baloch, Sattar told Geo News that ?these are baseless and false allegations.?

There are some restless souls who are spreading false rumours, he claimed.

?Salman said all of this when he was expelled from the party. He basically wants to distract people so that no one questions why he was expelled,? reasoned Sattar.

Over the alleged divide in the party, he claimed that ?there is no such case nor there ever will be.?

He also claimed that such allegations seek to waste the time of the nation. ?The issue will subside in a few days. We should move ahead and focus on better things.?

Responding to speaking to MQM founder, he said that it is unimaginable he will be in contact with anyone like the founder. 

?Some people will continue politics of allegations and keep on claiming that we are in contact with London. But, there is no such thing.?

On his meeting with Kamal, he shared: ?I have not met Mustafa Kamal at Seher Commercial or anywhere.?

He also shared that it is ?an absolute lie? and that Salman was expelled over the issue surrounding Irum Azeem Farooque.

MQM-Pakistan expels MNA Salman Mujahid Baloch

The party said that it has demanded Baloch to resign from the party

?There is no truth to rumours regarding the divide in the party,? he said, adding ?all these allegations are false and I reject them as party?s convener.?

On Friday, MQM-Pakistan had expelled MNA Salman Mujahid Baloch from the party because of violation of party ethics. 

Responding to the expulsion, Salman alleged that he was being punished for raising voice against the expulsion of another ex-party member, Irum Azeem Farooque.

?They cannot expel me, the party isn?t the property of anyone and it belongs to every common man,? said Baloch, while speaking on Geo News programme Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath.

He also shared that there is an evident divide in MQM-Pakistan. One faction is headed by Farooq Sattar, Kamran Tessori, Qamar Naveed, Khawaja Sohail Mansoor while other one includes Aamir Khan, Faisal Sabzwari and Khawaja Izharul Hassan.

He also levelled serious allegations against MQM-Pakistan convener Farooq Sattar and claimed that Sattar is indirectly in contact with MQM founder Altaf Hussain, adding that Sattar even approached Pak Sarzameen Party Head Mustafa Kamal and asked for his help.
