John Cena Flaunts His Batting Skills To Shane Watson & We Are Convinced He Should Stick To WWE

The moment you hear the name John Cena, the first thing that comes to your mind is the killer punches he throws at his opponents inside the ring. Those who don't follow WWE closely might remember Cena for his stellar performance in movies like 'The Marine', 'Legendary', and 'The Wall'.

Well, now this professional wrestler-actor has added another feather to his already heavy hat of achievements. The 40-year-old 16-time World Champion gave a tough time (okay, not really) to former Aussie Captain Shane Watson on the Australian pitch as he honed his batting skills while learning a thing or two about cricket from the Aussie all-rounder.

Shane Watson was so impressed with him by the end of the match that he tweeted, “Only the best bats for this champion!”

To us, however, it looked like he was playing Baseball and this funny video will make you think the same.

The 'Doctor of Thugonomics' aka Cena is currently in Australia to promote his upcoming animated feature movie 'Ferdinand' and took some time out from his busy schedule to play the Gentleman's Game. His fans were thrilled to watch him walk inside a pitch instead of a ring and hit some sixes and fours (at least we were hopeful about it).

Reportedly, Watson is returning to the cricket scene as captain for Sydney Thunders in the Big Bash Clash against Melbourne Renegades and before that match that will be held on December 9, he spent some time playing with the WWE champ. The league is in its seventh season now. In fact, Sydney Thunders too tweeted about this, “We're pretty sure @JohnCena could hit a few sixes in the @BBL for the #ThunderNation.

While the fans, Watson and Sydney Thunders were going gaga over his batting skills, Cena thought he played 'poorly'.

For those who don't know, Cena will also be seen in a movie on parenting (of another level altogether) called 'Blockers' in the coming year. By the looks of the trailer, we had a fair idea that he shares a great equation with kids and he just proved the same in real life, when he gave a surprise visit to a primary school.

Read some #Ferdinand, played some Cricket (poorly) and had a great time the past few days in Sydney until the teacher took attendance in class and I was marked absent... Uð«Cð¤¦ð»âï¸ pic.twitter.com/stIOqDeKoW

We can't hold on to our excitement while looking at this video of him reciting the story of 'Ferdinand', so we can only imagine how thrilled the kids were when they saw him stand in from of them.

Cena's Indian fans were more than thrilled to see him pick up the bat and hit balls and all we can say is “'Hum samajh gaye' that there is no one like The Champ.” For those who didn't get the context, look at this video we dug from 2013, where he interacted with The Great Khali in Hindi like it's nobody's business. We still can't get over his thug attitude.

From reciting the story of 'Ferdinand' to playing Cricket 'poorly' with Watson, John Cena sure is having a gala time in Australia.
