'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' Is Called 'Little Lolita Monkey God Uncle' In China And We Don't Know Why

We all heard about how big a of a rage 'Dangal' became in China when it was released there a few months ago. The whole country couldn't stop obsessing over the movie and Aamir Khan and there's a whole 'Dangal' fan club as well. To prove their love, they even made a video grooving to the song 'Dhaakad' from the movie.

And now, probably another Bollywood movie is about to get the same treatment. One of Salman Khan's best movies ever – Bajrangi Bhaijaan – is all set to release in China, 2 years after it released in India.

But wait, that's not the great part. The best part of this release is that, apparently, it's called 'Little Lolita Monkey God Uncle' in Chinese. For real.

Okay, Bhaijaan can translate to Uncle, but in what universe does Bajrangi mean 'Little Lolita Monkey God'? Okay, monkey god can be understandable, but little Lolita? What?

I think the movie would've made even more money with this title. pic.twitter.com/NrHe8sOx69

I wholeheartedly agree. That should've been the original title.

According to another Chinese website, called Douban, the name is 'Little Lolita Monkey King Bajrangi Bhaijaan'. Wow that was a mouthful.

There's another site calling it 'The little monkey god'. Honestly, what is this obsession with monkeys?

One movie, so many variations of titles.

I wonder what Salman Khan has to say about being called the 'monkey king' or 'monkey god'. Also, the use of the word 'Lolita' in the title is a little unsettling. It's a book about paedophilia, and 'Lolita' being related to a movie like 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' is quite weird.
