The legendary Shashi Kapoor had fans around the globe. From his on-screen presence to his acting, the man was a complete package of sheer brilliance and received love and admiration not just from India, but from across borders as well.

And hence it isn't surprising when tons of people gathered outside Kapoor's ancestral house to pay their respect to him. The place where the memorial was held was once Prithviraj Kapoor's abode before it was moved to Mumbai. This is the place where even the legendary Raj Kapoor was also born.

The fan following of Shashi Kapoor was indeed huge. He lived a good life and will remain eternal. And our neighbours made sure that his presence is felt despite his demise.

Fans took to their Twitter handles and shared the pictures. Some mentioned how 'Peshawar will never forget him' while some called him 'Pride of Peshawar'.

They put out a huge poster of him that said, “A tribute to Pride of Peshawar.” This memorial was organised by Cultural Heritage Council.

Kapoor passed away on Monday after a prolonged illness and was honoured with a 3-gun salute by the government. All his three children Kunal Kapoor, Sanjana Kapoor, and Karan Kapoor were present at the funeral.

Bollywood celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Kajol, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Randhir Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak, Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Salim Khan, Ayaan Mukherjee, and Hansal Mehta, among others, all gathered together to pay their tribute to him one last time.
